I never leave reviews & made this account just to leave this. Was excited to see Brenton Wood 2÷12÷16 which we bought tickets for ahead of time. This place is so disorganized! We showed up at 8pm when the doors opened. There were 2 lines & no one there to tell people where to go so we asked a security guard at the patio. He said people with tickets to the right so after 45min in line & finally at the door we are told the line we are in is for VIP reservations & that we need to go to the end of the other line. We told him we were never told & he argued with us & basically that we’re stupid because everyone behind us knew & had reservations!!! I figured the guy was a jerk & no point in arguing so we asked for our money back! The way they were letting people in we wouldn’t have gotten into the show on time anyways. I hope 92.5 thinks again before they use this place to host another show. Just glad I got my money back instead of giving it to a place that doesn’t appreciate the customer.

The music is great but service sucks. My friends order mixed drinks and all we got was juice. You are better off ordering beer.

If you love your old school music and cumbias, Club 625 is the place to be on Friday nights. My friends and I have been here from the beginning. The staff is great. The dance floor is big. The drinks are reasonable and delicious. No drama here. Everyone comes to have a good time and dance the night away. We love it here!!! DJ Shy knows his old school music. Mario thanks for always having our tables available for our birthdays. Pablo keep up the good work.

Being a New Yorker in Cali, I’m always trying to find a place with good music, good people, and a chill environment indicative of New York. This place has all that. Friendly staff, good drinks, and outstanding music.
It’s a place for singles and couples as well. No drama, just adult fun. Friday nights are Old Skool with Magic 92.5 and DJ Shy. He plays good stuff that will take you back in the day. Backed up ocassionally by DJ Jose Monterosa, the two seem to work magic on the dance floor!
Highly recommend it!

Here for the first time. Following the band Primo as they are the hottest salsa band in SD. So far the place is ok… The drinks are weak but the manager is very attentive. Hoping the night turns out well. Will write a final review after the night is over.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out for the Wednesday before Halloween. We wanted to try a new place to salsa dance because we have been going to the Marriott pretty consistently since it has reopened. We got to the place at around 9:30 pm. There was parking close by and there was a salsa lesson going on as we got there. I immediately went to sit down to change into my salsa shoes. As soon as we sat down a waitress came and asked us whether we wanted a drink or not. We both said «No thank you.» She then proceeded to tell us that we couldn’t sit there because we needed to order a drink or have a reservation. After I put my shoes on we joined the lesson. After the lesson we went to the next room with the wooden floors (they have two smallish dance floors) and started to dance. We had a blast! The music was great! They had a DJ and a live band that played interchangeably. They had a good selection of songs, which I personally think is difficult to find at a salsa club. We were asked if we wanted a drink a handful of times but the final time was by a man who when we said «No thank you,» told us we needed a minimum drink purchase. This was never advertised and neither my boyfriend or I were told this. Neither my boyfriend or I drink alcohol when we go out dancing and we both refuse to pay 5 $ for a soda. We were in shock. We had never been forced to purchase a drink before at a club. This really left a bad taste in my mouth, even though the overall experience had a lot of fun dancing and great music with a nice ambiance. I would have given this place 5 stars if it weren’t for all the pushy waiters and the man who basically told us to buy a drink or leave.

I’m not sure if or what else may be changing but Wednesday night salsa has new teachers for group lessons — and apparently lots of people showing up to dance.
