Eastside Sequel is an upscale retail boutique with quality items at great prices! All of the proceeds at the boutique benefit Domestic Violence programs at South Bay Community Services — I can’t think of anything better than shopping for a cause! I’ve been in the store a handful of times, and stopped in recently for some great finds. Tess, one of the store associates, was not only friendly but helpful, and suggested some great jewelry to finish off the outfits I was purchasing. I bought a great DVF dress and Michael Kors top — with a ring and bracelet to match! Eastside Sequel is the perfect place to find high-end items at great prices, with a comfortable atmosphere and helpful staff. I’ll most certainly be back, and would recommend it to anyone with a sense for fashion and charitable heart.

The fact that Eastside Sequel benefits such a great cause is reason enough to shop here. The store is always full of great things and it is hard to walk out without buying anything. :) The staff is always friendly.

A quaint little boutique-like store with thrift store prices, Eastside Sequel’s def a place you don’t wanna overlook. And you can’t beat the fact that you’re supporting a great cause when you buy from and donate to them. Lots of nice jewelry pieces and they have a little bit of everything for everyone — women, men, and children. They also carry quite a few department store name-brands like Stuart Weitzman and Franco Sarto. I came away with a pair of Stuart Weitzman low heels(originally $ 10), BCBGeneration flats(originally $ 11), a brown peacoat(originally $ 9.99), and Old Navy dark denim capris($ 2), all for less than $ 30 after getting a 20% discount(because of the upcoming Memorial Day weekend) on each item except for the capris. The woman who runs the store was very friendly and helpful. We talked about some of our favorite thrift stores around Chula Vista and San Diego. She also mentioned that she was gonna start color-coding the tags on the store’s items so that you know what’s newer and what’s been in the store for a while(and therefore discounted). The store is located near the corner of East Palomar and Santa Rita/Monarche. There’s parking in front of the stores along East Palomar across from Heritage Park.

I love that the proceeds of this store support a good cause but there is nothing I hate more than getting used clothes that are not cheap. It’s true that this store now has racks with stuff that is $ 2 bucks and you can’t beat those prices but it also has a lot of stuff ranging from $ 20 – 50 and sometimes even more. This shop is located near the senior citizen apartment complex where my parents live and I gave it an extra star cause it sure keeps senior citizens entertained. The workers are super friendly. When my mom moved near this shop she didn’t dare go in cause she thought it was a nice boutique and was so surprised when we went and I said, «It’s just a thrift shop with a fancy name!» They sell clothes, toys, some books, a lot of home decorations and right now have a lot of Xmas stuff which includes Xmas cards.

Buying great clothes at a fraction of the price, and supporting a charity that helps battered women? It’s a no-brainer! I have both bought and donated clothes here. It is a great set up, very much in appearance like a high end boutique but without the price tag. The staff is wonderful. They have sizes from 2 to 3X, and all the clothes are in great shape. Need a formal dress or a prom dress but are only going to wear it once? Come here! Then you can always donate it back and continue paying it forward!

The reason I stepped into this store was because my mom saw their article in the SD Union Tribune( ) I met up my mom, bought a few really cute jewelry pieces at a great price while helping out a wonderful cause. There’s also many other well priced items ranging from gowns to ties to shoes to hats, skirts and shirts. Besides, the man behind the counter that helped us was a total sweetheart. All proceeds go to programs for battered women and children. I will continue to patron this store and wish many others will too. Check it out, it really is a store/cause worth supporting =D
