Their grilled chicken is always on point. Very tasty. Customer service is great. I used to come here a lot when I used to work at the hospital down the street. Drive thru is fast. The menu is disappointing because they are slowing taking out items such as my two favorite sides which are the french fries and macaroni and cheese. Pros: — Great and fast service. — Affordable and consistent tasting food(referring to the chicken) Cons: — Menu is constantly changing. — Location is suspect(many bums walking by around the viscinity) Grade: 2 stars!

By far the worst slow ass drive through I’ve ever experienced. I’ve been to other locations and there all super fast but this location is by far the worst! Management need to take an initiative and fix this issue ASAP.

I was not always a fan of Pollo Loco finding their food a bit dry but recently I have been visiting more often because of their tostada bowls. I love them! Before trying them out I always got chicken and sides which are good. The burritos aren’t all that but I definitely recommend the tostada bowls to anyone. Their dressing is really good as well but they usually only give 2 small salsa cups by default so you may want to ask for extra if like me, you find that you’ll more. They are the only Pollo Loco in the area so they are frequently busy but I’ve always gotten my food around 15 minutes after arrival and the employees seem very friendly. The menu does change but I’m excited to try new items and hopefully they stack up to the bowls.

I come here frequently and the service is good, but my experience at the drive thru today was disappointing. The car ahead of me zoomed in and out in no time. I ordered an Avocado burrito combo and 2 tortilla rolls. Girl asked what drink i wanted, i said regular ice tea. I pull up to the window and pay and wait. And wait. And wait. It took about 8 minutes for my order to be ready. I asked the lady at the window for my ice tea and she said I didn’t order a drink. I told her i ordered a combo and she said no. I asked if i could have my receipt and she said she gave it to me with my change – which was in the cup holder of my car– with no receipt in sight. I left frustrated and disappointed.

Slow drive thru. Menu changes too often. Shrimp on the menu here today gone tomorrow. Oh well. I’ll be back.

Haven’t been here in a while but thought I would try it out again. The food wasn’t too bad but the thing that really rubbed me the wrong way and the reason I won’t be returning to any El Pollo Loco again, I asked the cashier for an extra side of the chipotle sauce for my three burritos I just ordered and she said, «oh we don’t give out extra sauce. We don’t even sell it» so I asked again, «I can’t get an extra side?» … «No». That was the craziest thing I heard all day. That’s really bad business. It’s a sauce that you use in your store for your food, and you can’t give any to your customers? Talk about bad business. Needless to say I won’t be returning to any El Pollo Loco again.

I love chicken, so when I go out to eat, I will drive to El Pollo Loco on H St. I noticed that the El Pollo Loco where I always eat at had a renovation, the seats and tables where upgraded to a better one with soft vinyl bench style seats. And the staff are friendly too. I always order the two piece meal with leg and thigh and two sides of rice LOL, my favorite. They used to serve the corn cake but they stopped for some reasons. Sometimes, I will also have the churros to fulfill my cravings for sweets. You have to go there after the lunch rush hours,(12pm-2pm)Ay! otherwise you may have a not so clean table due to the employees not having the time to clean up after each customers. The only bad thing about the place, I think, are the restrooms. You need to get a «token» from the cashier to open the restroom doors. Other than that, I like this restaurant.

Very nice employees definitely made the difference! I wished they had free chips but it’s okay! First time ever going and I would definitely go back! Thank you!

Very disappointing. Poor value! We had the family meal and it was a ripoff and certainly not as pictured. The chicken had good flavor but these were the tiniest 8 pieces I have ever seen. The beans were hard and barely warm, tortillas cold and tasteless, rice was fair, and the salad lacked some ingredients that were pictured. We had requested salad dressing and got one small packet for a dinner that is supposed to feed four. By the way this meal would feed 2 adults and 1 young child at the most. Go somewhere else and get more quantity and better quality.

Poor service cold dinning room. When asked about the cold in the Dinning we were told the heat is on in the back but not in front because the grill will warm up the front. If that was the case we wouldn’t be commenting on the cold. I’m sure the Managers office is cozy warm. Chickens looked like the smallest ones they could find. Never again …

This was a difficult review for me. I really LOVE me some El Pollo Loco. So for the chicken I give it a 5 plus stars! But this location I give it 3 stars. As I’m typing I’m waiting for my food(3 piece — 2 breasts and 1 wing, with rice and beans) and it’s been over 20 mins because they didn’t have any ready. And right in the middle of my review(just now) another employee just walked up to me and said«she didn’t tell you we ran out of breasts completely?». So now after waiting all this time, my chicken is not available. The Manager came and spoke with me a minute ago and low and behold, they found some chicken breast and even hooked me up with a free price for my troubles. The chicken was really juicy! So in the end it all worked out but the communication definitely needs to be better at this location. Maybe it’s just back luck because of the address(666 H Street) EEEK.

UGH!!! So I went to this place today, expecting to get better service than the last time. Well I guessed wrong. First off the drive thru is by the dumpster, and to top it off the cashier was rushing me to order. Assumed I was finished and then got mad when I told her I wasn’t. Atleast my order was right this to me. Smh. Horrible service.

First off every time I go to this location I’m treated badly. The workers are rude. I ordered a Avacado/Bacon/Chicken Salad and got something with Broccoli and black beans in it. No bacon! The chicken I purchased was overcooked and small. Like a Cornish game hen! I won’t go back to this location. National City is much better!

One star is all this place deserves. On more than 1 occasion I go through the drive thru and we are asked to wait for 15min for Chicken. The excuse was they ran out. How do you run out of Chicken? You guys are supposed to be the Crazy Chicken. Apparently not so. The parking lot is too tiny for a u-turn or 3 point turn and you are at everybody’s mercy in the drive thru with generally a car in front and usually one or more behind. No way out. And if the person in front of you is waiting, you are waiting too. Unacceptable.

Worst drive thru experience ever! The parking lot is way too small. Each parking spot was filled and there was no way to make a U turn or back out so I did not have a choice but to go through the drive thru. The wait just to order took at least 10 minutes and the worst part was the foul odor from the trash can. When it was finally my turn to order, the employee got my order then out of nowhere, she left without any warning. There was a ten minute wait for chicken and that didn’t make any sense to me because I would assume they have enough chicken if they have«pollo» in their name. They told me to park in a separate parking lot that belonged to another company until my food was ready. Overall, their service is slow and inconvenient. You would have to wait at least 20 – 25 minutes if they’re busy. If the employee who gave me my food wasn’t in such a good mood and the food wasn’t decent, they would probably receive one star.

This is not the first time that happens… Always the waiting line in drive thru is bad! And when you are waiting(next to the trash) smells so bad… Even if you close your windows the bad odor there! …

Although located in a VERY busy street, I come here at least twice a month. Can’t beat their $ 24 family meal deal. The staff are very nice and function like a well oiled machine. Their chicken is muy bueno! They have yet to mess up an order or fail to please with the food they prepare. Four stars just because it takes nerves of steel to get in/out of their parking lot but I highly recommend this place!

One thing I really enjoy about El Pollo Loco is their new stuffed quesadillas. This time around I tried the chicken and mushrooms for $ 5.00 which also came with a side of tortilla chips and a drink. I also ordered a side of guacamole. The the stuffed quesadilla comes in a foiled wrap.( ) The flour tortilla had a nice outside toast which made it kinda crunchy in a good way of course.( ) It was filled with grilled chicken, sauteed mushrooms, cheese, and small amounts of cilantro and green onion.( ) The stuffed quesadilla was very good and it sure hit the spot. The side of guacamole however was okay. Unfortunately it was a little flavorless. It was a little on the watery side and under seasoned.( ) The salsas were good. I especially enjoyed their green salsa and it went very well with the stuffed quesadilla.( ) The service was good, but I a little rushed, and the place could of used a little cleaning; especially around the salsa bar. Good lunch.
