Exclusive Event Party Rentals

Our club has been using the delivery services of Exclusive Event Party Rentals for about 4 years now. They provide all equipment for our annual car show in downtown San Diego. The company used to be owned by another group, but the new Exclusive Staff has helped us for the last 4 years or so. They are the best people with which to work. They are professional, flexible with last minute add on chairs, tables, tents, umbrellas; whatever we need. Their prices are very fair. The friendly delivery staff arrives on time to drop off and to pick up, which is greatly appreciated when you are having to set up the event at 6:30 in the morning to be open at 8:00 am. The men are friendly and will help you in any way. We would not consider changing companies for our special event in the future. At this point the ladies in the office know who we are and help us in any way possible. Thank you Exclusive Event Party Rental.

I’m a little behind on leaving a review but am really surprised by the low rated ones. I started using Exclusive in 2012 after ABC closed down. I used Exclusive both in 2012 and again last year for a total of 4 events and had good experiences each time.
The first time, I placed a quote online then from there was working with Mayra via email. She gave me the quote, I made deposit, and the rentals arrived as needed. All of my events were on Saturdays, so they delivered on Friday for me to set up.
There was only a small hiccup the first year they delivered because of a misunderstanding with a locked side gate — but they promptly called me and we got them in.
I know delivery fees are probably the most costly part of renting, but believe me — I have looked around at all the other places and the rental rates for Exclusive are seriously the best in town. The tables are kinda old — but we cover them anyways. The chairs have been fine to me, not immaculate — but not janky dirty or anything. I find the cost of the children’s table to be kinda high… but everything else is so reasonable, that it makes up for it.
I’m getting ready to make a reservation for my 2014 parties for my kids, so I’m hoping that I will continue to have a good experience with them… if not — I’ll update! But for now, they are top choice in my books for simple kids birthday party rentals.
Note: all of my rentals have been for little kids party rentals… So I haven’t had to rent nicer chairs or anything for like upscale party or wedding. This review is just for the basics.

The manager «Lola» is incompetent at best. I will never rent supplies from this place again. I ordered white chairs for my party and the chairs that were delivered were an array of primary colors: yellow, blue and red.
I explained to the manager that all of my linens and decorations were white and that the chairs were going to ruin the décor (which I spent a lot of time and money on). Her response was the following «sorry, we don’t have anymore white chairs. We can refund you for the colored chairs you don’t use». Exceptional customer service skills…

Prices are somewhat affordable for the quality of the items you’ll be getting all you can do for example is cover the tables with linens and problem solved. The delivery service was excellent and was suprised how friendly, courteous and fast these two young kids were. For the pick up even faster than i expected. Excellent kids they are just trying to earn a living. I would rent from then again.

I recently used this company for chairs, tables, and linens (we were using their partner for catering). The pricing was really good compared to our other options. They delivered on time and the delivery guys were extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely consider using them again. The only downside for us was they didn’t have white chairs available and the deliver charge was extremely high. However, the overall cost was still lower than our other options (because the rental prices are so much lower).

Checked many, many different party rental places, and Exclusive Events was definitely the most reasonably priced. I needed same-​day delivery and pickup, (after hours), and they easily accommodated me in every way. All the other places wanted an arm and a leg for the delivery alone. Exclusive Events carried everything I needed, including nightclub type lounge furniture… again, less than half of what the others charge. Everything was fabulous for my party. Delivery and pickup right on time.
Only reason they didn’t get 5 stars is they forgot to delivery the patio heater. BUT… because they’re a one-​stop shop in conjunction with La Taquiza Catering, the caterers knew who to call, and my patio heater arrived in a snap.
Definitely recommended. Will use again, and again, and again.

—REVIEW FOR CHAIRS AND TABLES THAT I PICKED UP (NOT DELIVERED)–
Well, it seems as though folks got the shaft end of the stick when it came to delivery, but I wanted to make a review based on the fact that I was pretty close to the location so I borrowed my dad’s truck and away I went to pick up some tables and chairs for my grandmother’s 90^th birthday party.
Here’s the positive:
— Prices were reasonably cheap with only a small deposit necessary. Please check the website for latest prices.
— I was surprised that I was able to get an order with very little notice (5 days before the party).
— Pick up was easy, all chairs and tables were ready to go and thankfully someone loaded it for me, the tables were heavier than I expected.
The Negative:
— The chairs I ordered were white and looked so dirty! I understand that they were the cheapest option and they stock a lot of chairs but imagine white chairs with that rough finish and dirt and grime all over. Also, they were really flimsy, I actually prayed no one would break them because I imagine the replacement cost would be more than they’re actually worth. Yowsa!
–The tables were OLD SCHOOL! When I mean old school, I actually mean that were probably once from an old school. Remember those old tables in the cafeteria during the 80’s? I’m talking some real «Stand and Deliver» type memorabila when it comes to these tables! It’s highly adviseable to cover it with table cloth or covers, although I had a very thin table cover you could feel the roughness and uneveness of the surface. The legs of the tables had layers of tape from previous renters. I guess taking the tape off was too much of a hassle for everyone? (lazy y’all c’mon man!)
Overall I have to give it 3.5 stars because I needed some tables and chairs, I had little time, and I picked it up myself and I received the product I wanted. Will I order from them again? Yeah, why not? You get what you pay for and let’s face it, I can’t stomach paying too much for tables and chairs unless I know its going to be something VERY serious like a wedding. As long as I’m picking up my order right…

Okay so I am not going to lie… the reviews for this place left me a bit worried. We decided to check it out for ourselves. SUCH a huge assortment of linens and everything to make your party look stunning. Overall this place was awesome! They delivered a day before my event and gave me plenty of time to get things together and not have to worry. GO HERE!

We ordered 60 chairs for a family picnic on the beach. My mom called the Monday before to verify all was ready to go. They were a no show. Can you imagine? 60 people with no where to sit? Talk about a weak party where people were left STANDING the whole time or had to get folding beach chairs from their car. We left several messages throughout the day, but since it was a Sunday, no body was at the office, nor was there any customer service to answer our calls. No one ever answered out calls. Talk about weak.

If I could give them negative stars I would. Used ABC Party Rentals for years and they were fantastic. Exclusive Event took them over and they are on track to ruin Thanksgiving. No delivery yet. Was supposed to be here between 9 and 5. It’s 6:30. No call. No tables. No chairs. And their office is closed. fabulous. Already ruined our dinner plans. Time for a new company to use. In the meantime I have 20 people coming tomorrow and nowhere for them to sit or eat. Exclusive Events you totally suck
Edited later: In the interest of fairness I have to say that they eventually showed up. 8:30ish. The delivery guy can up to the door chuckling about he still had more deliveries to make and I suggested (not nicely) that maybe he and his partner should give them a call so they know what to expect and aren’t stressing out. I know they have phones. and there are two of them. so one could have been calling people. In the 6 years I dealt with ABC Party Rentals they were most always on time and always called if they were running late. These people need to take a course on customer care. doesn’t matter to me, though. I won’t be using them ever again and if anyone else does… GOOD LUCK.

Love them! They have the most assorted linens you will find in San Diego. The equipment is new and well taken care of and the staff helpful and proffesional.
I use both the party rental and catering (La Taquiza) makes everything so much easier when planning a party. They have these awesome mini tables and chairs for kids, I always rent them for my kids parties.

We rent everything from here! The staff is very organized and helpful. The rental process is extremely easy and they have a great showroom with examples and pictures. Some items are overpriced for example the round paper lanterns are $ 25 a piece.

Since Exclusive Events is the rental side of La Taquiza, we used this for our party as well. We rented about 7 tables, 70 chairs, tablecloths, and lights for our party. Prices are very reasonable, and the rental process is easy. Just go online to look at the items they have for rent, call the number, and go from there. They require you provide a deposit, and I did that with my credit card over the phone. You get a contract also sent via email, and all you have to do is print it out and send it to their office. You can pay the remaining balance with your credit card too by giving them a call any time before the event.
When they do their deliveries, they don’t give you an exact time, but they tell you a estimated window of time they expect to arrive so that can be kind of frustrating waiting for them if you have things to do. The The rentals themselves were fine… some of the chairs required wiping down, but that was expected. Some tables had pieces of streamers still stuck on them, but that was hidden by the tablecloths we put on them later.
They have EVERYTHING you might possibly need for a party and the prices are reasonable. I recommend using them, especially if you are already getting catered by La Taquiza, the catering service associated with Exclusive Events (same office and everything). They were also kind enough to give us a little discount since we are military so that was AWESOME of them.
