Took my son (16) to counseling. Son unilaterally terminated sessions after just five visits. I asked Mr. Palitz, «isn’t there something like Stockholm Syndrome for kids?» What I did not realize at the time was that I was asking about «Parental Alienation» which is not an uncommon issue in divorce. Because of this missed diagnosis (I only learned about PA from a friend who is experiencing the same issues), my son has almost wholly blocked me from his life when, if he had gotten the correct counseling, may have been able to distinguish between his mother’s relationship with his father vs. his own relationship with his father. Now, my daughter is suffering the same fate and I’m fighting to stop the child abuse by the mother. I would NOT bring my children to him for counseling. I’m very disappointed with the outcome.

Well I hate to let my personal business become air time on Unilocal but when I have to scream at the top of my lungs that someone or some business is better than i expected I can’t keep it to myself.

He is everything I never expected… which is saying he is a blessing to me.
