First time in a Jos A Bank & I’ll never return. I went in to buy some shirts, trousers & a sport coat & the two women working decided they didn’t want to ask if I needed help. Then when I did ask about a certain colored trousers they didn’t provide any type of service. I’ll continue to give my business to Nordstrom or Mens Warehouse.

This store is a bit smaller than other locations that I’ve visited, so the selection wasn’t as vast. But in true Jos A. Bank style, the customer service was amazing. The store itself was very clean and organized. If you’re looking to suit up, then I highly recommend them.

Great, tasteful, and helpful service. Prices were great because they were having one of their famous sales. One of the suits I wanted wasn’t available in the store in my size, so they ordered it. The suit showed up at my home just a couple of days later with free shipping. I was a little worried when the suit showed up in a thin box. I was expecting it to come out all creased and shabby looking, but was blown away by how great it looked right out of the box!

Do NOT ask for Gaby. She is insulting and talks down to you. If you want to do business with someone who tries to make you feel inferior when you don’t let them rip you off go to Jos A Bank and ask for Gaby. Actually, they should fire Gaby…

What a disappointment. I was in the market for a couple of new suits so I decided to try this place. I’ve heard of their great sales so I thought I might save some money. It turns out I did save some money but only because nobody in that store would even look at me. They did not acknowledge my presence and after several minutes of walking around — I decided to take my business elsewhere. I got home and called the store to speak to the manager about my experience. Davina came on the line and I explained my experience to her. She was less than impressed with my experience and feedback. I described the sales people that were in the store and she stated that she was one of those sales personnel in the store at the time I was there That answered everything I needed to know. The culture in that store is obviously based on poor customer service. I have never felt so out of place and so dismissed in my life. I have pretty thick skin — I served in the U. S. Navy for 30 years so I don’t get my feelings hurt very easily — but this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had anywhere. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this store. I did go elsewhere and walked away with three suits, several shirts, several pairs of pants, and two sport coats. I went to the Men’s Wearhouse and received professional, pleasant, and helpful service.

While Jos A Bank is supposed to be «upscale,» it would be apropos to call their attention to «customer service» as «customer no-service.» They have beautiful suits, but the manager there, Davina, is very unpleasant and unsmiling, and works very hard to push you out the store with her attitude. All of the associates there seem to be terrified of her and don’t dare to do anything unless they clear it with her just so they can keep their job. Best yet, when I brought back suit pants purchased at Jos A Bank to be altered after losing a decent amount of weight, they wanted to charge me a ferociously high cost to do so. Their tailor — who also seems to be terrified of the witch, Davina — totally misidentified suit pants as not being made by Jos A Bank when they really were. «Davina» is even mocked by employees at other stores with her terrible attitude. The sad part is that they are trying to take over Men’s Wearhouse and screw up their great commitment to customer service… and altering suit pants at no cost… even if you don’t by them from Men’s Wearhouse. The Jos A Bank store in La Jolla, when I bought my suits there a couple of years ago, has way more pleasant shopping experience albeit the store is very small and cramped.(I actually bought my suits in La Jolla rather than deal with Davina who seemingly has been there forever.) Seriously, though, you go to Jos A Bank in Otay Ranch… ONCE…

Went back to Jos. A. Bank to get a sport jacket with the gift certificate my son gave me for Christmas. The manager was more hands off than the last time I was there though this time I wasn’t opening up the shirt packaging so he knew he was going to be less cleanup time on his hands. The jackets were all 50% off which is good. Considering the 40% mark up on their jackets, I guess I got an ok deal. With the gift certificate, a $ 500 sports jacket cost meonly $ 50. It needed some alterations to the sleeves but when I was told they are backed up 2WEEKS for alterations, I decided to go to Nordstroms and pay them to do it. Except for the disappointment of not getting the free alterations done, this visit wasn’t to bad I guess. Won’t be going back there but I can definitely say that my second visit was considerably less annoying.
