Had tried this place a few times until I saw the carne asada being warmed after it had been cooked and kept in a pot. The meat had sat there long enough for the grease to gleam a crust. Bad experience!

This place is soo tasty! My family and I are regular customers here and every time we go there is great service and the food is delicious. It’s never been pre-cooked or any of that nonsense other people are saying. And the décor could be better but it doesn’t really matter to me. If ever you want a TJ style taco this is the place to go to!

Too bad ZERO Stars is not an option! They’re lucky I’m giving them 1 Star. Chewy, tasteless, and terrible is the ingredients inside of the carnitas burrito I ordered that day! All the food is pre cooked sitting there waiting for you to order! I wouldn’t eat there if their burritos miraculously fell from the sky!

I really don’t get how this place can get less than 4 stars, probably mostly ignorant ass Gringos who don’t know wassup with a good street taco. This place is my second favorite spot for TJ style tacos; evertime I’ve been there the tortillas have been fresh(again, for me it’s always hard to find a spot that makes their tortillas fresh like in TJ). The adobado is always tasty and crisp, and the salsa’s are really good. Also, the mini quesadillas are yummy. Cost is the norm, $ 1.50 per mini taco. The only thing about this spot is that it looks a little dingy and dark in there. Customer service is always good though, and I’ve never seen it dirty. I’d sacrfice the décor and ambience any day for a reeeeaaally good street taco. This place gets a 9 out of 10 for me, and my second favorite TJ taco spot in SD. I’d give it a higher rating if they had more diversity of taco choices. And I think this place is waaay better than Tacos El Gordo, which is just down the street.

This place is gross. The lady with short curly hair was working and she had a chile rellenos lying on the counter. There was a mess in the kitchen of pots that looked dirty. i ordered my food and it took forever. she is slow and she was cross contaminating the kitchen when she went to the register to the microwave to the fridge etc. wash your hands lady. I didnt even eat my food. This place is trash.

What a sweet lady who worked here, couldn’t meet a friendlier person. I am a vegetarian, and although there were no vegetarian burritos listed on the menu besides the simple bean and cheese, she answered the call immediately and as well as she could have. She threw together an amazing spur-of-the-moment, off-the-menu, fantastic meal that I enjoyed thoroughly. It was cooked fast and at the perfect temperature and she had an amazing salsa bar as the cherry on top(the habanero salsa will get your tastebuds on fire, in the best kind of way). I checked out the 3d picture of a Mexican Restaurant(inside an actual 3d Mexican Restaurant?) while I patiently waited for my food to be cooked. Splendid experience. Great prices too!

This place is around the corner of my house. But I never understood why the never have lots of business, thats until tonight. They disappointed me. Pros: Fast Service, Salsas(Good and Spicy). Cons: Meat inside was Cold and tasteless. I am sorry I will not be returning.

I swear I thought I had already reviewed this taco shop over a year ago. I recently had a quesadilla with beans and I added onions, cilantro and salsa from the salsa bar. It was really good! This taco shop has great tasting Mexican food but the business hours are weird. They’re not consistent with the business hours. There’s days you’ll pas by and think they’ve shut down. I hate how its cash only and they have a small menu that has mediocre prices. The customer service isn’t that great at first, but if you carry on a conversation, they’ll open up.

I’ve been passing this place for a while and finally stopped in — and I am very sorry it took this long. I’ve eaten here three times in the last week, and every time it’s been their chile relleno burrito — it’s huge, it’s well made, and damn, it is really good. The chile is perfect, and I really should try the relleno plate some day(if I ever get tired of the burrito…), I am looking forward to(eventually) working my way through the menu
