Napolimania Pizzeria

First off… Giovanni is a REAL Italian… SO IS THE GUY MAKING THE PIZZA! I usually go to North park for EVERYTHING that has to do with food because… Chula Vista HAS no good good.
Co workers told me about this spot so I checked it out and MAN… GOOD! NO REGRETS… Pizza is Amazing! Prices are good Variations are good! It’s not in the greatest of Spots but I WILL come back again.

Absolutely the best pizza I have ever had!!! We have been looking for a place that makes traditional style pizza and we finally found it. The crust is different than any crust I have ever tasted, which of course is the base for all the yummy toppings, It is amazing! My husband says it reminds him of the pizza he used to eat in New York. We are so happy to have found this pizzeria!

–It’s mostly take-​out or delivery. They have a small counter with some stools but is not ideal for meeting with large groups.
Apparently the pizza is authentic Italian (Naples) style pizza. If you’re into the thin greasy type of pizza then this is the place for you, it’s actually pretty good. Me personally, I prefer deep dish and with more sauce. If you’re ever in the Fresno area try Me-n-Ed’s or Dominion’s pizza.

I’ve eaten here 3 times in the last 20 days. I’m in love. My husband and I are obsessed with the 16inch double pepperoni and ricotta. Go get it!

I love this spot! I live in El Cajon but I am here right now as I am writing this. I am blown away. My friend and I came here for lunch earlier today, (yes I came two times in one day-​that says enough in itself!) one of the best pizza places I have ever eaten at. I say this because I don’t know the last time I was so happy and enjoyed pizza this much!
The owner, Giovanni was fantastic. He had us try his new Kale salad and the next time I came in he had something else for me! He’s very genuine and his pizza is amazing. Unbelievable. Eating here and experiencing Giovanni’s energy definitemy made my day! Can’t wait to take home this pizza to share with everyone!

I would have given 5 stars, but nobody picked up the phone when i called. I was planning to pick it up myself anyway, so I ordered in person and didn’t mind the wait. I’m glad I didn’t give up and go with the easy online ordering of Dominos, because this was way better and cheaper!
The family specials on the website are a steal. The homemade ravioli was amazing. The salad was slightly overdressed for my taste, but great quality and fresh. My biggest fear is their prices are too low for this place to stay in business, but seeing as they’re the #1 pizza place on Unilocal in Chula Vista, I hope people will be patient with some of the kinks that come with this type of mom and pop place.

Outstanding italian food. Cannot go wrong. Guy deserves a huge restaurant, the food is so tasty and authentic.

I just walked out of this place after eating there with a few buddies… best pizza that I’ve ever had! The owner treated us like family from the moment that we walked in to make things even better. We actually came across this place by mistake, but I am so glad that we did.
Every time that I’m in San Diego, I will definitely be coming here.
Scratch that! The pizza is so good that I will drive down from LA just to eat here. You guys may be thinking that I’m exaggerating… but if you ever have the privilege of eating this pizza, I think you’ll feel the same way.

Came by for a slice in the middle of the day. I asked about the lunch special, but unfortunately was informed that since they were currently filling a catering order, there was no side salad to accompany. We went through other options, but I settled with getting two pepperoni slices, a drink, and tiramisu for a little upcharge. There were only a few plain cheese slices under the heat lamp which were reheated with pepperoni. The refrigerated «homemade tiramisu» taste didn’t jump out at me, and the slices I had were no different from your typical pizza joint. Not bad, but not as I expected based on the rave reviews. Perhaps ordering a full fresh pie would demonstrate how incredible others have said this place’s pizza really is.

Boy do they know how to make a pizza! I have had them deliver three times and all three times they arrived in a timely manner. I’m actually waiting for a delivery at this very moment! (Can’t wait to chow down!)
I picked up my order once, which they were late on, BUT they made up for it by giving us a free dish and they were very apologetic. Their customer service is wonderful and they are so friendly. Can’t go wrong with that!!!

I was in the mood for some pizza so I ended here after work. I was glad they offered pizza by the slice, which I got a slice of pepperoni for $ 2.25, and they had Parigina, a Napolese type street food, made from a combination of pastry and pizza dough stuffed with a variety of ingredients. In this case, it had ham and cheese.
Although it looked like it had been sitting a while behind the class container, the pepperoni slice was good. The tomato sauce was mild in flavor, which I liked, and had an average amount of pepperoni, which I felted needed more of. Also, more cheese would of been nice and baked for a little longer would of been good too. The crust was of the thin variety. It had a bit of a chew, but mostly a crunch. It well prepared and tasted good. Good crust.
The parigina was interesting and good. The top was like a puffed pasty and the bottom was more the the crust of a pizza, which made for the interesting combination in a good way. It was crisp on the top and a little doughy on the bottom. The filling was a generous amount of chopped savory ham and a very good amount of creamy melted cheese.
Customer service was good.

Neapolitan pizza? Where is the brick oven. Go to Café Calabria in North Park for the most authentic Italian pizza in San Diego.

This pizza place is amazing. We were looking for a non-​chain pizza place and stumbled across this one on Unilocal.
The service is great and the staff is friendly. The owner is such a nice guy who, you can tell, is very passionate about his food!
The pizza is simply amazing. We usually get a pepperoni pizza with basil. The sauce and dough is so great. I can’t even describe it (besides amazing). After finding this place we never ordered from another chain again. Sadly, we moved a little down the 805, but we WILL make the trip just for this pizza. Worth it.
You honestly just need to give this place a try if you haven’t! There are 55 5-​star reviews for a reason!
