Server Name BRADLEY M. 2 stars because the dish I ordered was GREAT. (Ahi Tuna Salad) Customer service was terrible. *Spilled water multiple times on table and myself while refilling my glass above my plate. Who refills water over someone’s plate!!! *I requested for a to go box and plastic bag. 5 minutes later I over hear the table behind me ask for the same thing and they got theirs within 3 minutes and I got mines after 7 minutes LATER. *my desert took 25 minutes to come.(ONE Pazookie) I asked for the bill. Came in within 1 minute. Literally! WTF!!! I like coming here and their service is Great.USUALLY. But the last 2x was terrible so I had to review this.

Usually it’s delicious here… but tonight we had unacceptable quality of food and drink. My boyfriend’s Root of Evil Ginger IPA was completely flat. Our calamari was dreadfully over-cooked. Calamari is normally good. Beer is usually good as well. On the average I would give this place four stars. But tonight was no good. Unacceptable. My boyfriend isn’t one to complain so I didn’t say anything to our server(who was in a rush to give us our check, since we were just ordering drinks and appetizers). Maybe next visit will redeem itself. We will probably be back if we’re ever around and the wait is too long at Buffalo Wild Wings next door.

Ate at this location once before. I don’t remember the details only that I had a mediocre experience. Anyway, it was a while ago(and maybe a fluke) so I thought maybe I’d give it another try. Besides, I was meeting a friend in the area and there are few places here with decent happy hour. We came in ~5pm and it was near empty. The hostess motioned that we could seat ourselves at the designated bar area for happy hour. This was fine as from the door, we could see some booths available. Or so we thought. There were 4 – 5 of them, but they were all yet to be busted. So awkwardly, we walked about before we seated ourselves at the«cleanest» table. They busted it right in front of us. The waitress then came to get our order. She was ok and on point. She brought out our drinks and food before going on her break and giving us the courtesy of introducing her relief while she was gone. We ordered 3 appetizers along with our drinks. The California Club flatbread was good. The calamari was just fair.(But I am a fried squid fiend so naturally, I’ve had better.) My friend was looking forward to the boneless wings. It was a disappointment, more so because not sure if it was what we ordered. She wanted the spicier sauce. We questioned the waiter on it and not being certain himself decided to bring the sauce plate up to his nose to sniff it. My friend was disgusted by this, and left that sauce to the side under quarantine. I really wanted dessert, but decided Starbucks, a couple doors down would suffice as a better option. Our bill was not cheap. Our regular waitress returned and my friend opted to let her know about the«sauce incident» as we were signing the check, not to complain but to give them the constructive criticism to better their service(so she reasoned). Does it matter anyway? Needless to say, we won’t be returning, and will have to continue our search for better happy hour elsewhere. [Two stars for ambiance and potential.]

Las costillas son deliciosas, al igual que las demás carnes que probamos todo con buen sazón menos algunos complementos como el arroz y las verduras, la sopa clam chowder deliciosa muy recomendable. La atención fue buena, a tiempo y hablan español.

DON’T GOTOTHISLOCATION I love BJ’s Brewery and unfortunately this location just lacks in EVERY aspect. My friends and I gave it an honest try and have been to the Chula Vista mall location 4 separate times this year and every single time it was not worth it. The food was either wrong or cooked very poorly. We would be sat at a table and 20 min passes before anyone even asks us if we want water. One time our check was wrong and we had to send it back 4 times until finally we just had to request the manager to fix our bill because we had plans and had no more time to spare. I’m a patient person so I can wait BUT to make me wait then give me crappy food and bad service just to over charge me for all of it is NOTOK. I will NEVER return to this location and I will happily spread the word to even strangers on the street to not waste their time and hard earned money. I’d rather drive 40 min out of my way and go to a different one than waste my money on crap service one more time. Really makes me sad to have experienced this at an establishment I’ve always truly enjoyed.

I like BJ’s! I love their club sandwiches and flatbread, but I also like that they have a pretty good selection of alcohol here. I usually don’t care for dessert at restaurants and don’t normally order it on a regular basis, but I always make sure to order a Pizookie. They also have a smaller size available in case you’re trying to diet or don’t feel like eating as much of it. Of the multiple times I’ve visited this location, I’ve only had quick and amazing service once, but I usually don’t care about how slow my service is if the food is awesome. Which it is. The cool thing is that there are a lot of people who come here, but I’ve never seen it SO busy, where I have to wait real long for a seat. I am always seated almost immediately. Anyway, this place has good food… for good service, maybe go elsewhere. Also, try to check in here as much as possible as Unilocal does sometimes offer pretty good discounts here!

It was slow service, however it wasn’t that busy around 10 pm during happy hour. Happy hour: 10pm-close $ 2 off shareable appetizers, $ 1 off beers, cocktails, wine, etc. ½ mini deep dish pizzas We probably waited about 40 minutes for our food and I ordered the chicken bacon club mini deep dish pizza that was TINY. Good thing it was half off of $ 11 because I would never pay the full price for it. The thing with deep dish pizzas is that they have so much excess dough, that that’s all I tasted while eating my mini pizza. It also had more tomatoes than anything… My boyfriend ordered the chicken bacon club sandwich(don’t remember the exact name) he said it was simply ok. It was like a chicken bacon club wrapped in a tortilla. It lacked flavor, and he had to a lot more ranch and hot sauce to intensify it. But he was still hungry after he ate so we had to order some pizookies.(Cookies n cream is our favorite out of all!!!) the pizookie was the only menu item that was worth it, in my opinion. I ordered the«Alabama Sunset» wasn’t strong, but since we waited a long while for our food on an empty stomach, I felt it way more than I should’ve.

The last time I had visited a BJ’s Brewery was their location near UCSD. I have to say that I do not have much recollection of my experience from that time since it was many years back. My dining experience in May 2016 at the Chula Vista Center location left me fairly pleased. I came in at happy hour time and only wanted a quick beer and burger before I headed home. I was recognized not long after I sat down and placed my order. My burger and fries came out in a reasonable amount of time. The first thing I noticed was the delicious bun, which may have been due to butter. You are given the option of steak fries or thin and since I am thin I chose thin. They were fine. I would have preferred to have sweet potato but oh well. Marlon(the bartender) checked on me enough to not be annoying and I was able to pay out in prompt manner. Aesthetically speaking the establishment is very attractive and clean. I will definitely return.

BJ’s is always good eats. Now they have a new lunch menu… looks a little different but new items. If you like grilled cheese sandwiches you’ll be happy, happy, happy. I went for lunch with co-workers and enjoyed the Hot Ham & Cheese: Parmesan crusted sourdough with ham, Havarti cheese and alfredo sauce. With Dijon mustard for dipping. Served with either crispy fries or potato wedges. $ 8 – 9 bucks

I don’t understand. This place offers what seems to look like great food and a very nice atmosphere. But for the quality of the food and service, it’s just overpriced food with a lack in customer service. My $ 13 burger was so dry. I expected this to be a moist, mouth watering plate. But so so so overcooked. Our waiter didn’t even understand the difference between adding on a salad for $ 3.50 and upgrading to a different side. Cmon. This places needs new management. Hostess at the front are not very welcoming at the end of a Saturday night. Look more annoyed to see you having a good time, unlike themselves.

Great service provided by Jafer V. He was on top of everything. His manager Sean was also amazing by supervising our salad’s portions and service. I used to go to Bj’s in Grossmont center but now, this will be my new favorite Bj’s!!! Thank you guys!

Came to this location of BJ’s! Came here for drinks & pizookies! My friends & I did the trio since there was only three of us. They both got the cookies & cream and I got the white chocolate macadamia nut! So delicious and wonderful aroma! I got the Alabama Sunset drink which was really good and not to sweet! Our server was so nice & always checked up on us. Great customer service!

I love Bj’s. At first I would just go for the Pizookie because I had never tried it before; the food never really called my attention. First, I tried their fettuccine Alfredo and it was kind of dry, it was okay but I had tasted better. Then, I tried their sandwich and I became obsessed. I am not a sandwich person but their California Chicken Club is delicious I order that every time I go now, must try!

We always love BJ’s. One of our fave spot to eat drink and be merry ! They have a good rewards program the more you come and visit the more you get discounts and free stuff. All time Favorites are always the arugula beet salad and calamari appetizers. Love the quinoa salmon and Pizzaz too. Decent price. Overall good CS, delish food and booze, nice bar, ambience and great vibes! But very loud and noisy. Overall highly recommend bring the whole family and friends. Don’t forget to sign up their rewards program. Parking is easy and free they’re located in the Chula Vista mall. Peace!

The martinis here are DELICIOUS! I ordered a cosmo first because our waiter let us know that the cadillac is pretty weak. I loved them both but the cadillac is just so tasty. Will definitely be back for the martinis! The food not so much! I ordered the seared ahi salad and there was only a few small pieces of ahi sliced up. WARNING: They put two little dollops of wasabi on the sides of the plate and I didn’t realize because it was in a more creamy consistency and I confused it with avocado. well i ate it by accident and it kept getting mixed up in the salad. Not a good time. The pizza wasn’t very good either when I tried it at my work party that was held here. There are some menu items that I do enjoy & you can’t go wrong with the pizookies! Service was extremely slow and it was a Wednesday night. Service was slow at our work party as well! Definitely some areas that need improvement, but I’ll be back(:

Not my favorite BJ’s location. They were pretty empty when we arrived, right around noon on a Saturday. And when I say«empty», I mean it. Not even the hostess stand was occupied at that time. There was one waiter wandering around, but we ended up waiting for about five minutes for someone to show. And when she walked around the corner, she looked surprised to see us. Our waitress was friendly, I’ll give her that. She was patient with me taking my time going through the menu, and then with my snap decision to change my order after I’d already placed it. I NEVER do that! We both decided on the Unlimited Soup and Salad combo(to be fair, I wanted something else to start). I got the Tuscan Tomato soup with the Caesar salad, he got the Chicken Tortilla soup with the Tomato Basil salad. Here’s the thing. The place was mostly empty. Our orders weren’t particularly complicated. And yet, it took almost twenty minutes for our food to get to us. I was almost beyond my hunger by the time we got our meals. My soup was okay, though a bit oily. It could have done with a dollop of cream or a smattering of cheese, though. The salad was terrible. I love Caesar salads, and before today wouldn’t have thought that one could be messed up… The Chicken Tortilla soup was the star by far. It was spicy and flavorful and hearty. I contemplated getting a bowl for myself for a second serving, but ended up stopping after the first round. At least lunch wasn’t very expensive.

I came in with family to celebrate my 25th birthday. Our server was Ernesto. Ernesto was very friendly and smiley. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice. It was like a combination of elegant restaurant and sports bar. There were several TVs throughout the restaurant with sports playing. The tables were nice and big and very comfortable. There was plenty of space in between tables and it didn’t feel crowded although it was a little busy. It was however a bit dark and I had to use the flashlight on my phone to read the menu. Oh boy, the menu was intense. There were probably about 20 pages and there was so much to choose from. There wasn’t a lot of pictures and the font was very small. I felt a bit overwhelmed on the selections and being an indecisive person it took me a while to finally figure out what I wanted. We started off with the potato skins appetizer. It was alright. It was lacking several toppings on a few of the skins. Overall it was O.K. I ordered a sweet tea with lemon and the tea was actually very good. I ordered the Fish N Chips with wedge fries. The fish was nice and crispy and the fries were excellent. They had the perfect flavor and perfect amount of crispiness and softness. My mom enjoyed her pulled pork sandwich. My mom said the BBQ sauce on her sandwich was nice but was pretty spicy, but she did enjoy it and finished the whole thing. My brother ordered the double decker and he thought it was going to be hot but it was cold but he said he liked it. My family told them it was my birthday and after we got our to-go boxes our server brought me out a small Pizookie with a candle and said Happy Birthday. They didnt do a birthday cheer or song. Thats ok. The pizookie was very doughy. It was tasty but i could only eat one bite! My brother loved it and ended up eating the whole thing.
