Achille, I think he goes by Cal, is an older gentleman who seems to own this small, chill, no frills barber shop. Real nice guy. Professional. And really takes pride in his work. Got a standard professional haircut that looks great. He trimmed a nice new line on my beard. He even trimmed my chest hair below my collar. Never had that done. Old school barber looking out for his client. What was really shocking was the price. Maybe it was a new client discount but it was about half of what I expected. Gave a 40% tip without even thinking about it. Give him a try. Good barbers are hard to find. Cash only.

Do I honestly have to go to so many barber shops to find one that I actually like? well it really seems that way… till today I have not found one shop that will give a decent hair cut to my lil boy… and this shop wasn’t the exception… To me it’s a bit too pricey… and the décor is ummm just imagine walking at night in an old alley… lol…maybe I’m exagerrating… but will def not come again…

Wouldn’t call it oldschool, but it’s definitely not an über-trendy urban hipster place. These folks give great haircuts that are consistently good and nicely priced. I’m a guy that has traveled the map of Chicago looking for a stylist that will give me a look I want for a reasonable price in a classy environment. I don’t like chains, I want a relationship and I want to have complete trust in the person wielding sharp objects by my head. Linda is awesome, not overchatty, is a craftsman and takes her time to get it right. They have great products, great hours, great prices and I walk out the door with a perfect haircut. It’s nothing fancy, but because they get it right EVERY time, they get my five stars.
