Best burritos Durango style ! Four stars because their prices are a little high for the food you get !

It’s a great little hole in the wall to buy groceries, junk food, and the restaurant in the back is a diamond in the rough. The food is truly authentic. From their burritos to their signature dishes, the food has its own unique succulent flavor that homemade food has, accompanied by great staff and a variety of drinks. Im a regular here for sure.

So, this place belongs to my aunt and uncle and not just because this little store/restaurant is owned by my family am i giving it 5 stars but in all honesty their food is AMAZING! My all time favorite food to get when i go are the tamales, i promise you, you can never go wrong with them… Its usually really busy so if you know you wont be dining in you can call in advance and that way it is ready for you when you arrive. For sure one of my favorite places to go eat authentic Mexican food estilo Durango(state we are from in Mexico), spend some time with all the friendly people and watch some novelas.

This is the coziest little place, and the food is great. Been back now a few times, so I know the first time was no fluke. Like going to your Mexican girlfriend’s house and having her grandma cook for you.(Or, if you’re Mexican, I guess it’s like having your grandma cook for you.) The tacos are Best-in-State, probably Best-in-Midwest(except the pastor, which is only v. good), the burritos are fab, and the caldo(soup) is like a cure for anything that ails you(colds, hangovers, your Mexican girlfriend dumped your gringo ass, etc.). Time it when your favorite novela is on(they’re open till 9) and you can have entertainment with your meal.(Like any good taqueria, they have a TV with novelas on at all times.) UPDATE: I’ve now been here a half dozen times. Four were spectacular, two just excellent. Mind you, this isn’t Frontera… it’s better. But without all the silverware and tablecloths. If Rick Bayless knew about this place, he’d be down here worshipping. The food tends to the sublime, and it’s Cicero grocery-store prices. I’m kinda glad it seems that only two of us have found this place — gives it a certain best-kept-secret quality. I’m not sure if this is the best homestyle Mexican food I’ve had in the states, or if it’s the best I’ve had anywhere, even better than Tacos Light in Hermosillo, Sonora. Listen, I spent half my life in Mexico… and I rarely had such simple and beautiful food. If you don’t know your shit, this’ll probably seem like any other taco joint to you. But if you are truly enlightened, prepare to be wowed.
