Alterations While U Wait

Very satisfied with customer service, talent in alterations, and overall demeanor of this establishment. I find it to be a charming and small business with high standards for themselves and their work. They were kind enough to repair several pairs of jeans for me — and when the repair did not withstand a first wearing (not to the fault of the repair, but rather, my thighs) they happily took the jeans in again to do more reinforcement.

I am absolutely THRILLED with the service here. Wonderful customer service. I came in on a Friday with a pair of pants I’d found on clearance — was able to get them hemmed (perfectly, I might add!) fairly quickly. They were done by the time the shop closed the day I dropped them off! Price was fair as well. I will definitely go back.

I would absolutely recommend for wedding dress alterations! Paul saved my wedding when I had to find someone last minute to fix my wedding dress that had been mangled by another seamstress. They got me in the day I called and worked on my dress for two days, even staying till 10 PM one night!
Paul worked on different solutions until my dress was exactly how I wanted it. He approached the task as an engineer would, even using a piece of fabric from a sash I was not using to add to the front. The seamstress that had messed up my dress told me I would need fabric tape to keep my straps on my shoulders. No I did not. Paul made it so they sat perfectly where they were supposed to. I danced all night and the straps stayed right in place.
The staff at Alterations While U Wait was great to work with. I was very anxious as my wedding was in 3 days and the dress looked horrible when I arrived. But they assured me they would fix it and they did. For important occasions I will definitely be back even though I now live 3 hours away. They’re that good.

Customer Service in spades! Wonderful work, great personal attention. Had to get my son’s new suit (and dress shirt) he got for Christmas altered FAST, so he could travel for a wedding. Paul even offered to work on Christmas Eve. The tailoring was A+I highly recommend them.

Best tailor I’ve found outside of New York City. I travel almost an hour from my home to get work done there. They are exceptional tailors and provide great customer service.

Came to this place from the reviews that I read in Unilocal.I was very disappointed with the «work» they did to my dress. Or actually work they didn’t do. All I needed was a simple sewing job. The man I spoke with said the woman in the back sewed it closed. At first glance I knew it looked bad. When I got in the car I looked at the part where she so called «sewed» it and all she did was tuck the material in the dress. No sewing was actually done. The picture I shared is after I got it fixed.

Incredible attention to detail… quality of work is excellent. I drive 20+ minutes both ways just to drop my stuff off and pick my stuff off. Wouldn’t trust anyone else in the area with my clothes! Paul and staff are so nice as well! Prices are a little high but it’s well worth the money.
Side note: I’ve been to a few other tailors who have been rude and judgmental to say the least. I’ve got a few vintage pieces in my closet and they were pretty stuck up about it. Paul has been nothing but nice and he’s really passionate about what he does!
bottom line… Excellent place!

Paul and his staff were friendly and professional. I had pants and a shirt done. The shirt was a tricky fix, and while I loved everything else I just wasn’t in love with the shirt. Paul offered me the option I have the shirt worked on more for no additional charge, or take out what we had done so I could return the shirt to the store. Because of my own impatience I returned the shirt and he didn’t charge me for that alteration. Needless to say, I was thrilled with the service, the outcome, and will be back again!

I have to say that I was extremely impressed. I met Paul and we clicked instantly. He knew what I was wanting done to my slacks (taper and hem) and was able to make a vision a reality.
The best part is that the slacks were to my business suits that I needed the week after Thanksgiving and HE DELIVERED! Also, he told me UP FRONT that my Alterations would run quite expensive, and then offered an alternative… Now what seamstress does that??? My slacks look as if they were purchased with a more tapered leg and hem. So I am definitely a Happy Girl!!! Thanks to Paul and his incredible staff!
Don’t sleep on him… I know I won’t and will definitely be back. He is now my personal seamstress…

I used these guys in the past and they were very polite & did good work at one point, but when they make a mistake and are accountable for the PROBLEM — BEWARE!!!
Paul and his crew did a poor job measuring some pants and destroyed 2 pairs on brand new jeans! I gave them the opportunity to resolve the issue and when they were unable to fix the pants — he offered to follow his policy and «Buy the product from me and provide a full reimbursement for the mistake». I gave them 3 weeks to gather some funds and when the time came — Paul gave me a story about how he was short on funds and couldn’t pay me back. He also informed me that I was behind a long list of people had owed money to. So, I was «just going to have to wait». What great customer service that is!
So, I have followed up with them a few times now monthly and have finally be told by Paul — «he is not paying me back, tough luck».
Bottom line — if you want good customer service and people to back there work… go elsewhere.

Just dropped off my dad’s coat to get the sleaves shortened. Haven’t gotten the coat back yet so can’t remark on the workmanship just yet (will update later). The shop is in historic Glendale, which is a treat to visit.
Paul is fantastic. Loved meeting him and interacting with him. He’s very genuine and helpful. He even recognized my San Francisco area code.
Bring cash if you don’t want to pay the 5% convenience charge for credit cards.

Came here for the first time because I needed some pants hemmed in a hurry. Paul was very accommodating and stayed after the closing time to make sure my pants got done and I was happy with them. I will definitely be back here.

I was in a bind when I got a Vest for a wedding that I needed done in 3 days. The staff was amazing and the owner was soooooo helpful. I can’t express enough how great the team was. If you need something done this is the place to go to! It was resonably priced ($ 10) for what took them 20 min.
I drove 40 minutes from KY to get here and it was worth it. Take my advice you will NOT NOT NOT be disappointed!

An amazing tailor. After buying a suit that I wasn’t crazy about and having it screwed up by the shop tailors, Paul turned it into something wonderful in one day. Very happy with jean alterations too.
