The staff was very helpful and so nice they explained all the questions we had on the menu. It is my new go to for sushi. They had a party of 8 at the time we were there and they had kid friendly dishes for the little ones. Overall I am very happy with the service here and. Now the food. It was the best sushi I’ve had in a very long time. It was as close to authentic you can get to Japan. I’ve never been able to find something even close to what I had in Japan and it was dead on. I am so glad I requested to eat there for date night.

I came in for a late lunch/early dinner from Kenwood after some Unilocaling for a good place in the area I have yet to check out. I’m not too familiar with Madeira, but Amarin appears to be in the heart of this small little town, with a parking lot and some dedicated«customer only» spots. We arrived around 4:30 on a Wednesday, so as this was such an odd time, we were the only ones in the restaraunt. It’s fairly small and simple inside(nothing wrong with that), with booths and tables all around. A lot of loyal fans on Unilocal recommended the Pad Thai, so I went for it. I got the veggie, and when our server asked for a spice preference, she gave me a «mild, medium, or hot» scale. I like my Pad Thai spicy so I went with hot. It came out in no time, and the dish was pretty good-looking, with some fresh vegatables and a nice aroma. It was good — Pad Thai is something that you can mess up. I’ve had it where it’s either too greasy, too dry, or just lacking in flavor. This Pad Thai had a nice balanced flavor, but I’ll admit, it was by no means hot. I would honestly consider it a low-medium. It’s not that I prefer my food so spicy that I can’t taste it, but I like a kick. This kind of lacked one. Overall, it wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was still tasty and worth ordering. Clean little restaraunt, good Pad Thai, but if you like it spicy, just make sure you emphasize such.

Great little sushi place. Reasonable prices and tasty rolls. Onsite parking. Very good and very friendly service. We came here for lunch and got the Fusion roll which was excellent.

BEST pad thai in town! When I’m craving pad thai, Amarin is ALWAYS first on my list! I am a huge fan of their spring rolls and an even bigger fan of the Chicken Pad Thai! It’s a really cute and quiet restaurant and the staff couldn’t be more friendly or helpful! I love taking people here that have never tried thai… every person I’ve ever taken there falls in love with it too!

I’m really upset that the amarin closed down in Hyde park, but gives me all the reason to come here! Mainly come here for sushi, my favorite surprisingly is the yam/cream cheese roll. Use to get it at Hyde park, I asked if they served it at this location, they did not but with no hesitation, they were happy to make it. There are other items on the menu I tried and like. Appetizer: vegetable/shrimp tempura. Dinner: chicken fried rice. They make the spice to your liking. Clean restaurant and friendly staff.

Great staff and wonderful food. The chicken pad thai is quite authentic, the shrimp pad thai can be a bit fishy. Great bang for the buck on any of their sushi/sashimi.

Just ok, still prefer Teak Thai food. Their egg rolls are great otherwise I would have given a star less.

I got really, really lucky when my GPS pointed me to Amarin. Long story short, first time visiting Cinci and naturally I was alone(business travel, bleh). Since I was dining on the company card, I decided to treat myself to Thai. Using the POI feature on my GPS, it pointed me to Amarin, and seriously, SO glad it did. I got there late after a long day of travel(around 8:30), so I was one of two people in the restaurant. Despite that, the waitress was still more than happy to seat me outside on the patio. After seeing my Washington state ID, she sat and chatted with me while waiting for my food. Super friendly and fun without being overly nosy or slacking on the food. The food was great! I had spring rolls and chicken pad thai and a Chang beer with which to wash it all down. I’ll be honest, I didn’t have any kind of expectations considering that I was in Ohio which is really not known for a large Asian population(c’mon, I’m a Seattle snob). Holy crap was I surprised! The seasoning of the pad thai was so flavorful and had just the right amount of spice(I took my chances with 4⁄5 stars). The spring rolls were obviously made fresh, and the beer was nice and cold. I was more than impressed. I will go back next time I’m in Ohio. The waitress also gets bonus points because I asked for more water and a to-go box at the same time. Not only did she refill my existing water glass, she boxed up my food and came back with a to-go cup of water. Seriously, it’s the little things.

A nice restaurant for good service and great food, especially sushi. I like all of the combo options, that adds a lot of variety. The décor nice as well. Overall very good, I don’t go too often though. Still, I would recommend.

This review is for the Madeira location and the new Hyde Park one as well. They both have the same great menu and friendly servers. Usually, I find a restaurant with Thai and sushi is trying to do too much and something eventually will falter. Amarin, possibly because both locations are small and manageable, hasn’t yet. The prices are reasonable, the food is tasty and they have brown rice, which is ridiculously exciting in Ohio. A valuable addition to your Thai takeout rotation or a good possibility for a casual night out.
