Called to ask them a question about their food prep and whether they could prepare food separately since I can’t eat raw fish right now. Extremely rude and full of attitude. Would never go here from that experience alone. The one in Hyde park is fine though.

Yummmmmmm! What’s not to love about Fusian? It’s got a great selection of really great quality ingredients and the build your own sushi roll aspect is perfect if you’re feeling creative and ideal if you’ve never tried sushi before like my sister who was with me on this particular evening. She tends to be a very picky eater so I knew Fusian was the way to go if she was was ever going to try sushi.
I ordered the spicy tuna roll and a roll with steak and asparagus as well as the yakisoba sauce (which is awesome BTW). Their ginger aide is one of my favorite beverages the serve, hands down. My sister tried the traditional California roll minus avocado (I know, such a shame) and built her own roll that included chicken. They were both good and she really enjoyed them.

Stopped in for a quick dinner. Didn’t know what to expect but I was very pleasantly surprised! It’s like subway or Chipotle jn that you go down the line and choose the I gredients for your sushi roll. I had salmon with avocado, cucumber, and asparagus. Topped it with sweet soy sauce and sesame seeds. Also added an order of edamame. Everything was delicious! So glad this place is located conveniently next to where I work so I can always stop in if I need something quick before or after work.

How did I not know about this place? My stepson was trying to find a place to take his vegan step-​mom, and I’m happy he suggested Fusian.
The staff was patient and super helpful with vegan suggestions, as I was trying not to take up too much time in my ordering. My overall impression at looking at the choices was FRESH.
I ended up with a seaweed wrap, brown rice, roasted tofu (nicely done, guys!), asparagus, avocado, carrots, with the sweet chili sauce. Wow, yum! We also shared the spicy edamame, which was perfect.
Quick, simple & fresh. Good pricing too. I’ll be back!

With all of these build-​your-​own meal chipotle-​type deals popping up everywhere, I was excited to stumble upon fusian and its custom sushi! Don’t expect traditional sushi by any means, but the rolls are sizeable and tasty! I got a half steak half tofu roll with tons of veggies– I originally thought I’d need a side of seaweed salad to supplement one small roll, but I quickly changed my mind after I saw how huge the one was. Make sure to get a couple of the sauces on the side so you can try each of them!

My wife found this place with our boys and they are hooked. It is counter service, quick sushi You can choose seaweed or soy wrapper with white or brown rice. A machine helps press the rice down. Then you choose your protein and veggies. The employees roll it and then place in another machine which cuts it. Finally, you choose sauces and/​or toppings. They even have a PB&J roll, but that isn’t appealing. It is quick and reasonably priced, which makes it our go to stop with two teenage boys when they want sushi. The employees are very nice and friendly and will help you find something you like. Their miso soup leaves a lot to be desired as it tastes chickeny, but the edamame and salads are good.

Great place for a quick, simple, cheap bite to eat! You’re not going to get gourmet sushi here, but you’ll get a delicious and fresh simple roll catered to your favorite ingredients picked by yours truly, yourself.
So combine everything you enjoy into one roll. I must warn you, if you’re anything like me and love vegetables, you’ll end up with a humongous roll which will be almost impossible to eat without stuffing your face :). My favorite combo is seaweed wrap with white rice, tuna, green onion, asparagus, carrots, cucumber, avocado and cream cheese (of course) topped with spicy mayo, sweet soy and a ton of tempera flakes (all for $ 7.50). I wasn’t kidding, worlds largest sushi roll!
I love the vibe of the restaurant itself, it’s modern, sleek and environmentally conscious!!!
Never seems to be too crowded and the line has never been out of control in my opinion, fast and friendly service!

First time being here. Very delicious. Quick. Good price.
This was also the first time I had sushi as a meal before. You get 10 little rolls (lol idk what they’re called). They filled me up!
They not only have the typical seafood stuffing, they have cooked chicken and steak to make into a sushi roll.
This place is an Americanized sushi joint. I’ll most likely come back again.

The steak is actually a pretty good option I was surprised and something you won’t find at most sushi places. Is it traditional sushi? Heck no, but not bad at all, it’s fast and made to order. Also a nice niche is that its all custom made, as you watch it go down the line Also the rolls are much bugger than what you get at other places, I would normally order 2 or 3 rolls at other places but one roll here is equivalent. Not bad all in all. I was not a huge fan the first time I went but this place has grown on me.
A lso the customer service is great quick to move you along, great for suggestions and have patience.
Again if your looking for a traditional intimate sushi experience this place may not be for you. But if you like the more «Americanized» sushi fast, at a descent price and without a server or want Togo then this is the spot…

Chipotle for sushi! I have been a couple times now and will continue to go back. I love the concept for a quick roll of sushi to customize. I always get a sushi roll with tuna and change the toppings. I also love the tempura crunch topping! I hope these restaurants become more widespread in other cities too.

Stopped in here to pick up a roll before heading out to the airport. Also got an order of edamame and a salad with ginger dressing.
I had never been before and was momentarily confused by the process of ordering. It’s like Subway for sushi.
The edamame was good and cooked to the perfect crunchiness. The salad could have used more of the delicious grainy ginger dressing but was good.
The roll was great. Since I put what I wanted on it, it’s hard to get it wrong! For my base protein, I got the salmon and then added extra salmon on half and tuna in the other half. For my veggies, I got carrots, avocado, and cucumber. Finally I topped it with sweet soy sauce and seasame seeds. All with brown rice in a seaweed wrapper.
Loved it!
My only gripe is that you can’t tip on a credit card. You have to tip in cash.
I’ll be back– this is a great alternative to eating at the airport.

After like 3 years I finally got to try it. So basically its a chipotle but sushi style.
The price is pretty great 7.50 for a roll or like 7 if you want a chicken or other type of meat roll. Over all it tasted great and i can have a roll without icky cream cheese and they have a vegetable of the day or something (peaches… interesting) which can add a weirdness to your overall sushi roll. I have to say though the highlight for me are the faux health drinks. While it may be a bit better for you than soda it still is sugar but OMG GET THE GINGERADE. Great fast casual chain and I hope it continues to grow.

What can I say? I love Fusian! I have been many times and it is always so fresh! My 9 year old does love it too, and I dare not tell him I go without him or he would be devastated!
My husband is not a sushi fan at all (mostly because he has never really had it). But Fusian is breaking him out of his shell. He will get a roll now with either tempura shrimp or steak, so that is a step in a good direction.
Only complaint would be if there was a way to do online orders separate from walk in orders. Have come in a few times and been told to wait to fill an online order, one was 12 rolls! Ugh! It’s frustrating when I am on a timed lunch break! But I do still love you and will continue to come back!

This is good «Fast Food» sushi, if you want something quick and fillings this is your spot. But don’t walk in here expecting grommet sushi because that Is not what Fusion is, it is just good affordable sushi.

Okay… I can get into this concept! Quick service, custom sushi rolls. Is it the best sushi you are ever going to eat? No. Is it a good lunch option if you are looking to get away from all of the other stale lunch options around Kenwood? Yes!
A variety of protein, wrap, vegetable, and sauce options so you can get creative with your sushi (think Chipotle setup). Service was friendly (they took time to explain how it works) and sushi assembly was quick — not like some of the other QSR places that take longer to wait in line and prep your food than it takes to actually eat it.
I went with the tempura shrimp, seaweed wrap, cream cheese, veggies, and topped with chile sauce. The wrap was a bit chewier than normal but overall the roll was good for what it was. I will definitely be back.

First time here and I enjoyed it. It is like the sushi version of Chipotle. The staff was very friendly while I was there. They answered all questions and truely looked as though they were having a good time.
I had the Tuna Seaweed Roll with avocado, cream cheese, and asparagus. I had them top it off with Spicy Mayo… yum!!!
I would do this again, however it still doesn’t take the place of some of the regular sushi restaurants I have visited.

Take everything I love about the Hyde Park location (which is a lot), add an even better ambiance and aesthetic as well as some seriously friendly staff, and you’ve got your newly-​opened location on Montgomery Road in Kenwood.
FUSIAN Kenwood enjoys the same wonderful qualities that make the other locations so great (Weight Watchers-​friendly; good, quality fish and vegetables; reasonable prices; large rolls; quick and efficient service; satisfying yet not too filling; and chic and modern décor), but they have somehow figured out a way to make its newest store and overall experience even better – something I never knew was even possible.
I have nothing but great things to say about FUSIAN across the board, but Kenwood has really upped the ante.
