We love Best Buy. Great location and all the electronic we would want. We’ve bought small stuff like games or movies all the way up to larger items like kitchen appliances. They are a great store with a good price match policy and servicing. We also love their rewards program and the gamers club unlocked which is a total no brainer for gaming fans.

First, let me say I have been a pretty loyal BBY customer, until pretty recently. I have been shopping more and more on . It seems that the customer service in this particular store has decreased over the past several months. I was in this store on Christmas eve to pick up a online order of a Xbox One. While I was there I also purchased a BluRay and then picked up a new remote for the PS4. My issue comes into play with gaming and Geek Squad. I know it was fairly busy(no where near like it used to be on Christmas eve) but I picked up the PS4 remote, then waited to ask the guy in gaming(in his 20’s) if I actually needed it or if the PS3 remote I had would work. My thought was why spend $ 20 bucks then have to stand in line to return it if I really don’t need it, especially at the holidays. He was helping another customer and his son, he asked if I just had a quick question and I said yes…“I was just checking to see if I really need the PS4 remote or if the PS3 remote I already have would work with the PS4?” He said well most people just use the controller instead of a remote, I said«I know that, that is not what I asked you, do I need a new remote or not? He said he thought so, but this gentleman has a PS3 and PS4 you could ask him. Really? You are telling me to ask a customer??? The customer did not know either, he said he thought so. So I go up to Geek Squad to ask them if I needed the remote«I think so, but if you don’t you can always return it». If you don’t know, say you don’t know or look it up… I usually always try to research before I go to the store, but this was a spur of the minute purchase. Great… Thanks for the help… best buy! I know if was Christmas Eve and you probably didn’t want to be there, but since I am the customer, you could have at least tried a little bit harder to help… Picking up the Xbox One was easy and quick, she was wonderful to deal with and was the highlight of the shopping trip!

So the store has a great setup and variety. The prices are a little much for most of the things you are looking for unless it is one of their specials. Over the years, I have found better deals shopping around at other places or online. I usually go to the store to look at products an physically check them out before buying online. Today, I was looking at cell phones comparing cell phone prices. The sales person seemed to have not only confused me but himself at one point. It was easier for me to collect information and review it later on the newest smartphones rather than try to have the person muddle their way through it.

I’m always impressed with how much Best Buy employees don’t know. In other words, this is a do-it-yourself store. Do your research, have your comparative prices handy, and be ready to show them advertised prices so that they will match them. Wednesday, someone walked into a store where I was, asking about WiFi Range Extenders and said that the people at Best Buy told him that they didn’t have any.(It wasn’t this particular location.) I’d been in the store a day or two prior to that and they had 3 kinds. I only talked to one employee at this location but he was friendly and willing to help me. As I was looking for some adapters in the computer area, I heard another employee giving a customer really weird advice, as if he didn’t know what he was selling. He wasn’t trying to move the customer away from the product, but what he said wasn’t really the truth. Always watch the prices because they will do some crazy things, like sell the 3D version of the movie for less money than the 2D version, even when it includes both. Do your research before you step through the door!

I keep going to shop at best buy because I have their credit card and get rewards points for all my purchases otherwise I would shop elsewhere. It’s very hard to find someone to help you most of the time since they save on cost and keep limited number of sales associates. If you know what item you need no where exactly it is that’s the place to go, if not you will spend hours there trying to find someone to help you.

There are two different types of Best Buy’s. There is the GIANTMEGASTORE! and there’s the smaller more intimate GIANTMEGASTORE. This is the smaller giant mega store. There are thousands of sweet deals every day, and while you can probably get some things cheaper at other places, but then you hit a mega deal and work the system! I’ve always had good service at Best Buy, and will continue to go back and buy things here forever! Viva La Best Buy!
