Sexist treatment in customer service. We bought an open box item from Best Buy because they had no others in stock. It was stated as in excellent condition. However, we discovered after the product was home that the warranty was expired and the only way to have the warranty started at purchase date was to go back to Best Buy and have them manually do it. Long story short, I went in and no one«would» help out– asst. manager actually said to me «I can’t– no actually, I won’t be able to help». I was handed the Best Buy customer service phone number. I stayed in the store to call. Called customer service, only to be told it was a customer relations issue and to call the corporate number but I would have to find it myself because they were not allowed to give it out. After being on the phone over an hour, my husband showed up and the asst. store manager was able to help him. I’ve never been treated poorly as a female until this customer service issue. Very disappointed and shocked. Glad the issue was somewhat resolved but would have preferred to be helped without having to call in my husband.
