My 9-​year-​old son has Down Syndrome and takes swim lessons in Mt Auburn from these folks. Very good combination of fun and tough love. He has learned a ton. If you have special-​needs child and want them to learn to swim, this is one of the places that will teach them water safety.

The CRC is a godsend to our city. They provide affordable aquatic and athletics that anyone can afford.
You can purchase a pool pass in the summer for around $ 30, or you can go for $ 2 a day which is a steal. They have over 20 different pools around the city.
We just recently signed up and played in their fall softball league and it was only $ 280 for the entire team to play all 6 games. I tried calling other leagues around the city and no joke it was over $ 600 to play! That is insane. I think they have other leagues like basketball, kickball, and they even have some really affordable golf courses too!
Tons of good stuff for kiddos here and families on a budget. Check the CRC before waisting your money anywhere else. The money from the programs always go directly back into the city.

Anywhere you drive around the city, you’re likely to see one of those CRC signs outside a playground, a basketball court, a greenspace. I’m not sure just how much of this was actually spearheaded by recent development or just made more visible, but CRC certainly has their hands all across the city. They always have renovations at various sites, and the improvements are always noticeable.
You probably have no idea just how much the CRC runs, but almost any outdoor area that isn’t a Hamilton County park is theirs, as are almost all of the public pools and several golf courses. Not exactly a lightweight.
CRC also runs recreational sports leagues, such as the co-​ed softball league I am currently participating in. I distinctly say participating because our team is not especially competitive. But that doesn’t matter; we have fun, and that’s the point of the CRC leagues. They aren’t for the gung-​ho athlete; they’re for the after-​work leisure seekers.
