Cincinnati’s main metro station would be perfect if it were cleaner and less filled with crazy people.

TIPS FOR RIDING THE METRO:
Hey man, you’re riding the bus. It’s really not that bad! I just wish they ran later, since lots of great stuff happens downtown past 10−11pm Taking the bus downtown is Soooo much easier than driving, you dont need to worry about parking ($), or traffic.
Government Square is well patrolled by beat cops, bike cops, etc. and it is probably one of the more civil places in the area as a result. People tend to keep to themselves or quietly chat.
Give Metro a shot! You can Google Map the Metro’s different routes and times. Just click on the «Bus/​Mass transit» icon, enter your to/​from locations and the times you want to depart or arrive, and it will tell you which bus to ride and when. Easy!
Also, you can ride the bus downtown instead of taking 2 taxis going/​returning if your downtown «business» is actually social.
Business people already know how much cheaper it is to ride the bus, and if they don’t, now they have no excuse!

The signs easy to read, the hours that the buses come in are in reasonable time, but I do not like the office hours if you have questions. They close too early. But for the price, of riding the Metro, I guess I should not complain.

This is the main hub of Go Metro and you can go anywhere from here. Clean and nice. A few homeless people as usual as in any large city but a lot of people using it so it feels safe.

Buses pull in, buses pull out… Just be careful if you’re around here at night.

Government Square is a convenient place (living in CUF it’s very close to my apartment) to catch most bus lines. The newly renovated features look great and provide things like seats, scenery, cover, and an information booth. Unfortunately, there is no reloadable card to use for the Metro. Because of this, you must always have a bus pass (unlimited rides for a flat rate), or carry around change and hope you have three quarters (each ride is $ 1.75 and no change is given, so if you don’t have quarters, it is $ 2). Good service and the quality continues to improve.

A few years ago Government Square underwent an extensive $ 9 Million renovation to offer it a new look and a more efficient design. Now the city’s main bus depot downtown is so fresh and so clean!
Before the bus ports were angled and the buses pull into each one that they needed to. Now they are all in alignment so the buses just pull over to the right and then pull out. It seems more efficient than it used to!
The architecture is also updated and has a fresh look. Before there were glass coverings that looked so ’80’s and now there is a fresh angled frosted glass roof above each one. It looks neat!
The booth at the corner offers information to riders on passes, schedules, and any other information they need. Before the renovation I hardly ever saw anyone in the booth to answer my questions, and now when I walk by there always seems to be someone there!
