Many of time have I found bones in my chicken! Definitely stick with the steak if you go!

I like chipotle better than currito but it is not a bad option if you are already on campus. I just prefer chipotles flavored better. But you must stop in and get their Nutella milkshake, it is heavenly.

Had my first experience with Currito the other day, and I was impressed. If you like Chipotle, you will like Currito and in fact you may end up liking Currito more. I was impressed with the variety of options when building my burrito and they have other product offerings that you can’t get at Chipotle… like Smoothies! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area! There are only a few Currito locations in Cincinnati and this one is easy to find right on Xavier’s campus.

I’m probably one of the few non-Xavier students that frequents Currito, and I have to say that the location and ease of getting in and out make it a regular lunch spot for me and my coworkers. Working in Norwood/Hyde Park, it’s not too far of a drive and a great alternative to all of the Rookwood and Hyde Park Square lunch spots. The group I go with usually opts for a mix of buffalo and Mediterranean. The buffalo is awesome if you like spicy food. Parking is pretty easy if you’re getting carry out – there are a few metered spots right across the street for visitors. If you want to stay longer, you risk a ticket from campus police – which really isn’t a risk at all, especially during the summer or over other school breaks. Also, be sure to like them on Facebook & follow on Twitter for free burrito giveaways – they happen more often than you may think!

Currito is a great addition to Xavier’s dining options. But it’s no Chipotle. Firstly, Currito offers off-the-map burritos, or rather, all-over-the-map burritos. My personal favorite is the Mediterranean one, which includes hummus. Yep. Hummus. So maybe this isn’t the best bet for your traditional burrito, Chipotle-esque experience. But aside from the ingredients, the meal shapes up pretty much the same: you have your burrito vs. bowl choice, variations on rice and beans, and the prices come in around the same. Currito also carries some beer, and it’s one of the few on-campus spots that does, so it can be a nice option for a beer with friends or colleagues. There are apparently pretty awesome milkshakes, but I can’t speak to that. And a colleague has told me that the salads are excellent. There’s loads of indoor seating, and a very nice outdoor patio for fine weather. It’s definitely a favorite spot on campus, and I will keep going back.

As a Xavier student, Currito is absolutely the best choice for eating on campus. The atmosphere is great: good food, friendly staff and great music always on the stereo. The food is fresh and has never let me down on my quests to cure hunger. The variety is endless but I always settle on a create your own burrito bowl with chips and guac. Only complaint is the high price(come on, we are in college!) but its good enough to bring out my wallet in the end.

Currito is a unique burrito place. There slogan is, «Burritos without Borders» which is definitely the case. I am currently attending night school Xavier and the majority of my classes are in Williams College of Business which is next door to the building that houses Currito. After a long day at work, I get hungry and I can only eat so many pieces of spinach ricotta pie I can eat from Coffee Emporium so I decided to brave the elements and walk 500 feet to Currito. I had the Bangkok burrito. It was weird but good. I definitely need to come back to try some of their other offerings.

I originally said that Currito was bad but that was when I was a freshman and thought subway was a better option. I now know better. Currito is pretty good and is now my preferred on campus food choice.

If you’re looking for high adventure on Xavier’s campus, Currito will gladly serve it up. The outdoor patio, with its umbrella-ed tables, was lovely on a sunny afternoon. When the wind picked up and took our umbrella with it, we realized this wasn’t your typical burrito chain. Currito’s burritos are full of yummy ingredients with an international flare. You can build your own typical burrito, or go for some of their unique blends. My group had the Cajun(with mildly spiced chicken, black beans and corn), the Summer(black beans and mango salsa) and the Bangkok(Thai peanut sauce, cucumbers, and Asian slaw). It was agreed that all tasted good and that the small burrito was enough to fill us up. And, as a frequent vegetarian, I was excited to see that tofu was a protein option. Although they are still working out the kinks of a new restaurant(we were inadvertently served a Teriyaki burrito during lunch rush, and our umbrella took flight), management and employees were friendly and made the meal and hijinx worth the minor setbacks. A second visit is definitely in my future, if only to try the Nutella milkshake.
