I’ve tried this place out twice, living nearby and occasionally being intrigued at the idea of a tikka masala burrito, I thought it was worth a shot. Both times I was definitely satisfied with my meal, but never blown away. Everyone is familiar with the quick-service counter ordering format, so I won’t go into needless details about that. Instead I’m just going to talk about the options that they have — i love the fact that they have a TON of different stuff to be added to salads or burritoes. It’s really not so much a burrito place as it is just a total fusion of all kinds of different cuisines. Mediterranean, Indian, Mexican, it’s all there. That’s the good part — they have flavors and offerings from so many different places that there’s really no way to be bored with your meal. The bad part? The flavors are all… pretty good. But nothing is GREAT, nothing will really blow you away. You’ll never be unhappy you chose to go to Currito, but you won’t ever get an amazing meal. And with all of the ethnic options in the neighborhood(including both the best Indian and Mediterranean in the city all within walking distance from this store), you would be much better off going somewhere else, unless you’re 1. Already here, 2. With a group of people who all want something different from one another, or 3. Have a coupon.

I’ve been a long time fan of Currito, but I especially love this location. The workers have always been friendly, courteous and attentive, and they never run out of any ingredients, unlike some of their more famous competitors. I love that I can fill my bowl with absurd combinations and I never get the side-eye!

Buffalo bowl was excellent, tiki masala bowl was okay, and the Mediterranean burrito was awful — very soggy and mushy. Will likely come back to keep trying the menu due to the variety.

A few of my colleagues put in an order the other day but as I wasn’t sure what would or wouldn’t have cilantro(I’m allergic) I passed even though the menu sounded really good. Luckily another colleague and I were in Clifton last week so we popped in to grab lunch. I was right in thinking all the Mexican style options would have cilantro, but luckily the Thai style Bangkok burrito did not. I love Thai food and I love burritos so it seemed like a natural combination to me. I had to go for brown rice(white has cilantro) and chose to have mine with chicken. My colleague went for the same but with tofu. They were SO good! The peanut sauce definitely had a kick to it and was spicier than I’d expected but not too spicy. My colleague also got the Jimmy Carter smoothie with soy instead of dairy and said it was the nicest smoothie she’d had in a long time. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying some of the other options. It’s a nice twist on the typical burrito!

I ordered a burrito from this place via order up. I asked for no onions. I got my burrito and it had onions in it. I call the restaurant and the man was extremely rude to me. He argued me down and made comparisons to ordering McDonalds food. I just could not believe how rude he was. I didn’t eat the burrito of course because it had onions on it. What a waste of $ 7.00.

Better than chipotle, but its smaller. I enjoy the variety of the ingredients. Service is good.

It’s so wonderful to have many different burrito options! Currito is unique in that their food is «inspired» from different cultures. With different burrito sizes and different flavors from around the globe, this place is changing the burrito game. The best part is customizing your own flavors(from around the world) to make it truly yours. The food always tastes fresh and the salsas are amazing. Plus– the employees that work seem cheerful and are always friendly.

This is basically chipotle. The only difference is the adding of an ingredient of two and switching out one to make it Bangkok or Teriyaki so it would become«Asian». They need some spicy beyond salsa to make it more original. I had the Mediterranean burrito bowl. It was ok nothing special. The only good thing there is their Nutella milkshake.

What they lack in simplicity, they make up for in variety. Currito is unlike Chipotle in that they take influences from multiple cuisines to create their burritos(Indian and Chinese, just to name a few). I prefer sticking with their Classic burrito, as I’m not as adventurous as I’d originally thought. The Mediterranean was my go-to for awhile, and has amazing and complex flavor, but I burnt myself out on it. I’d still suggest trying it, though. Their downtown location is modern and comfortable, but fills up fast at lunchtime, so I go around 11:30 for faster service and a guaranteed seat.

Currito is a great change of pace for those that enjoy Burrito’s or Burrito Bowls. Instead of traditional Mexican flavors, Currito has an international flavor that really hits the spot. As you walk up to the counter to place your order, look through the list of international delights to fill your burrito or bowl with. I have tried most of them and they truly are all good, but I have a few favorites. The Bangkok is my absolute favorite with check or steak along with Thai Peanut sauce, Asian slaw, cucumbers and rice — I also get Siracha put on mine. It is absolutely delicious in a bowl or a bowl. They also have one with Indian flavors that is very, very good — It is great in a burrito with Indian spices yogurt sauce and chickpeas as well as a few other things stuffed in there. Also, their smoothies are great! the Limeade one is my favorite! They only get a slight downgrade because I have had them forget to make my smoothies a number of times(I don’t think many people order them). They could have had everything ready at the same time, but I seem to always have to wait for my smoothie because they forget. Oh well, it is worth the wait.

1 star for vibes and attempt 2 for they’re alternative burritos. I’ve tried it multiple times but it just doesn’t do the trick. The flavors are reminiscent of a party tray after being out for multiple hours and lost all its flavor and nutrients. But if your a burrito lover give it a shot I know friends that love this place.

More flavors than Chipotle, but quality is inconsistent. Also not a fan of their new reward program. I personally prefer this over Chipotle. I like having many options for flavors and many types of salsa. My personal favorite is the Bangkok with tofu. It comes with cilantro lime rice, Asian slaw and peanut sauce. I like to also add mango salsa and their newer chick peas mix. I just got this burrito and it tastes like they changed the peanut sauce; seems watered down or something. Also depending on who is working the line, your portions can be wildly different for each ingredient. This is even the case just at this location, not even comparing with other branches! I like the music they play here though. It’s a nice mix of different sounds, like Indian, Latin and dance types. I’m not sure if this a branch choice or a company mandate but I like it. Also check it their tasty smoothies! Their reward program now is based on dollar amount spent, and the benchmark is really high. It used to be on the number of burritos or smoothies purchased.

Amazing smoothies always! Good seating too! Have yet to try their food(Curritos) but think it might be better than Chipotle’s burritos even though I haven’t tried those either. I just go here for their smoothies!

Finally decided to try this place. Even though Chipotle will always be #1 in my book, this was a nice way to change to my usual veggie burrito from chipotle. I REALLY enjoyed the tofu! They also have many varieties/flavors of burritos(Asian, Mediterranean, buffalo, etc.) I think it’s a little pricier, but the ingredients are high quality.

I love this concept and while I was only traveling through Cincinnati, I was happy to see they have more locations, including one in the Newark airport. I got the Bangkok bowl on two separate visits, and a Chicken Caesar Salad on another. I like that they use kale in the Caesar! Very tasty. I liked the cilantro rice better than at Chipotle. Speaking of which, I’d say it’s on par with Chipotle, but it has more options.

I was incredibly skeptical that I would enjoy eating the food here, but a friend insisted it was tasty, so I tried it. I was afraid that as a lifelong hater of cilantro, the food wouldn’t be palatable to me. Luckily, they are accommodating of cilantro haters such as myself, and I did not have an unpleasant experience. I didn’t even dry heave once, like I have been known to do at other places(Chipotle). The service was kind of slow on the night I was there, but it ended up being worth a small wait. I was pleased that they had veggie friendly options, though a giant slab of tofu seems super lazy. Cut that slab up so that when sauce is applied, there will be more flavor on the protein. Flavor-wise, my burrito was rather bland. Thankfully, they asked if I wanted some sriracha sauce, which helped a bit. I also enjoyed that they offered the option of heating it up first. Bonus! I thought $ 8 was a little steep for a small burrito and a pop, but I could be wrong? I would pay that for a burrito at certain other places(Red Sesame comes to mind), and this wasn’t quite half that yummy.

A couple of weeks ago I tried a burrito from Currito for the first time. We arrived at the location near the University of Cincinnati campus for a late lunch. The restaurant was mostly empty so service was lightning quick. If you’ve been in a Chipotle(or other burrito shop) before, the concept will be very familiar. You can order either a burrito or a bowl starting at one end of the counter and then move along while it is being assembled to customize your meal just the way you like. Where Currito is different is that they specialize in ingredients and flavors other than that traditional Mexican ones, while still offering a «classic» burrito as well. For my lunch I decided to try one of the signatures burritos, the Mediterranean. This fills a whole wheat tortilla with house made hummus, tomato salsa, cucumber, feta cheese, brown rice, and balsamic vinaigrette. You then have your option of protein: grilled chicken, grilled steak, organic tofu, carnitas pork, or barbacoa. I went with the chicken and also added on the meal option to include chips and salsa as well as a drink for $ 2.49 more. The burrito was of normal size compare to other burrito shops. The taste was like something I have never had before though, and I really enjoyed it. The hummus and feta combination worked especially well with the tang from the balsamic vinaigrette. I would definitely order this burrito again, but with so many other signature burritos to choose from I would have a hard time repeating the same order. My wife ordered the Bangkok burrito with Thai-style peanut sauce, Asian slaw, cucumbers, and cilantro lime rice in a flour tortilla. Another nice thing about Currito is that you can order a smaller sized burrito, which was right up her alley. I stole a quick bite from this burrito and it was equally as good as the Mediterranean. When you grow tired of eating the same old burrito, Currito has four Cincinnati area locations to mix up something different to eat. With over 40 ingredients that can be added to your burrito, the options are nearly endless.

Of course, as everyone else does, I have to compare my Currito experience to my Chipotle experience. And it just comes up short. The concept is the same — walk to the counter, tell them what’d you like(burrito or bowl? What meat? What veggies? Etc.) The food just … isn’t as tasty for some reason. That probably means it’s healthier for me than a Chipotle(although maybe not), but either way, meh… I’ve never had a problem with ordering like others here. I ask for what I want and they make it well. I usually walk them through the process though, pointing as each item as they make it, so that may be what helps me. Currito has a bunch of specialty burritos that you can order. I’ve never done it but I’d love to try the Chicken Tika Masala Burrito. Just because. Not the best, not the worst … still think I’m going to Chipotle.

I love Currito! It is better than Chipotle, I wish they had one in Columbus and I would eat here all the time if it wasn’t 2 hours away! They only have burritos as an option but therefore way more fillings like broccoli, tofo, grilled onions, carrots, asian slaw, different sauces, it was truely amazing! I had a whole wheat one with tofu and all the fillings, and my husband one with steak and also all the fillings, my son had the steak and cheese snack wrap and everything was the best we have ever had, I really hope Currito expands and makes it far!

I’ve only been the one time so far. My first impression is that they have a good selection of seemingly healthy food items that are fresh. I like it better than Chipotle because I don’t get that heavy feeling, and they have a better selection and attitude towards vegetarians.
