Dean’s is the other half of the great produce rivalry that plays out every day in front of the Findlay Market market house. I haven’t had much of a different experience here than I have at Gaudio’s. The produce is really good there. The prices are also great, even though sometimes I find better deals on certain things at the competitor. We did really luck out at Dean’s once. One Sunday my wife and I were there a little later in the day and were getting ready to finish up. Just a couple of things were left that we needed so we stopped at the produce section, floating between Gaudio’s and Dean’s. A row of watermelons lined the back of the area of Dean’s and they loudly announced that their seedless, good-sized watermelons had just been reduced to $ 1 each. The announcement was enough to have us finish up our day at Dean’s and we left with a bag full of produce and a couple watermelons under each arm.
