My favorite Indian Cuisine restaurant of all time, the employees are phenomenal, and the masters in the kitchen deliver every single time. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Indian food and to those who wish to try it out. Cheers to you Adeep India!

Best Indian food in Cincinnati. The restrooms are not nice, the temp inside is usually too warm, and the wait can be long when they are busy. However, this is simply the best tasting food, with consistent results of my being satisfied and well fed.

I would say one thing. Shame to Indian food. Took 1 hour 50 minutes to deliver and food was cold. Chicken was soggy and lamb biryani is the crappiest. Beware when you eat from this place…

My last visit was, well, my last visit. I’ve gone here numerous times and know that when you call your order in for pickup, it may take 25 – 30 minutes. However, on my last visit, I arrived at 30 minutes after my call, so I figured my order would be ready. It was not. After refilling my meter and asking at almost 60 minutes, I was told it would be ready in 10. Evidently, they had not started on it yet. I like the food, but I think their popularity has given them problems managing orders in a timely fashion.(More orders with same number of pans means longer wait times.) On that day, I was also not impressed with how they dismissed neighbors who came in to complain about trash in the alley behind the building.

Food is really tasty. But why wouldnt it be, for it is made of greasy, cholesterol containing butter and cream? Believe me, if you care about your health even in forms of tiny microscopic bacteria probably you will regret it after devouring those disgustingly tasty saag chicken curries or the tika masalas! Damn, good things at a heavy price !

I love, love, love Indian, and the food here can be delicious. However, this was probably the last time I’ll ever order from Deep India. There are just too many Indian places around Greater Cincinnati to put up with such snail-like delivery, wildly inaccurate delivery times and inconsistent spice levels. Our last order: — 5:28 p.m. Order time — 6:39 p.m. Estimated delivery time — 7:02 p.m. Call restaurant and told«on the way» — 7:27 p.m. Actual delivery time This took almost TWOHOURS to deliver our order, which was 2 orders of a single entrée. It was 50MINUTES longer than estimated, with no acknowledgment. That’s insane! We had asked for 3 out of 6 on spicy level. We eat cayenne and/or sriracha almost daily in this house, and we ordered in the bottom half of the spice scale. However, the spice was so intense that it was borderline unpleasant to eat. The garlic naan is usually great, but this time the bread tasted dried out(stale? overbaked?).

I love Deep India. It has some of the best Indian food in Clifton. However, their customer service may be one of the worst I’ve seen. I ordered a Chai tea via Unilocal’s online ordering system. When I got my order, I got an Arizona tea. From a bottle. And it wasn’t even a Chai tea! When I called immediately after I received the tea, they said that they would look into it and call me back. 30 minutes pass and they still haven’t called me back. So when I called, they were incredibly rude to me, even though I was only asking for the Chai tea to be refunded. They agreed to the refund, so now we wait and see if that actually happens. The rest of the food was delicious per usual, hence the 3 star rating. But I will think twice about ordering delivery from here again.

I’ve actually never been to Deep India, but some of my coworkers and I order Deep delivery just about every week lately! They deliver downtown… just be smart and order before you’re hungry because if they say an hour, it will probably be more than an hour and a half to two hours before you get your food. Delivery is free with purchases over $ 18. I also try to pawn off the call-in to others because the restaurant does sometimes have a hard time understanding orders. I order a spicy level of 3(out of 6) and it’s been pretty inconsistent. I’ve had 3’s range from being pretty mild to so spicy that I think I’m sweating. The portions are large and very reasonably priced! My favorites so far have been the chicken jalfrezi(it has green peppers and onions), and the mushroom matar(mushrooms and peas)… both are super good — i like the veggies with the sauce. My only complaints are the dishes are a bit more oily than I’d like and I don’t know how to NOT overeat when I have indian. Ok ANYWAY I think these two(chicken jalfrezi and mushroom matar) will be my go-to’s from now on. The garlic naan I’m not really a fan of — it tasted burnt the one time I tried it. but I recently tried the bhatura bread for the first time and this is what I’m going to get from now on! It’s this fluffy deep fried bread… since it has to go through delivery it loses some of it’s texture and fluffiness from the fryer, but I loved it regardless!

Deep, glorious Deep. Deep India is my favorite Indian restaurant in Cincinnati, and with good reason. Their prices are fair, you get your food in a timely fashion unless they’re slammed, and the shabby interior is a humerus juxtaposition of food and atmosphere quality. While I can’t recall everything I’ve every ordered off of their menu, there are a few standouts. I dream about their Saag Mushroom. Okay, maybe I don’t dream about it, but it’s probably one of my favorite things on the planet. It’s full of tasty wilted spinach and mushrooms in what just might be the world’s best sauce. At a spice level of six it’s the perfect amount of heat and the best Indian dish ever. Their Saag Choley and Shahi Paneer are also pretty great, and I normally don’t order paneer-based dishes. They also have Mint Naan. Mint! It’s not a typical naan offering from my experience, and it’s second only to the infamously wonderful Garlic Naan. Their menu is pretty extensive, with tons of appetizers and drinks that are all presumably just as good. The staff here is always friendly. They’re polite and fast-moving and always pleasant to interact with. If you eat in, there’s pitchers of water in the drink cooler that you just take to your table. Like I mentioned, the hole-in-the-wall vibe is a contrast to how great the food is. The door is normally open because they don’t appear to have air conditioning, but it’s never overly hot. The only drawback can be that when they get crowded, the small kitchen gets pretty backed up and the wait can be pretty long. However, given this is the best Indian food in Clifton, I’d say it’s worth the wait!

Another decent Indian option in the area. I like that they deliver, but fair warning– it takes a long time. They gave us an estimate of 60 min and I would say it took closer to 90 minutes. Everyone’s food was hot and flavorful. I got saag paneer, 3⁄6 spice, with garlic naan. It satisfied my craving for Indian food, but not the best I’ve had. My favorite saag paneer is still from Brij Mohan but that is farther away. I’d get delivery again(knowing it will take forever) but I probably wouldn’t eat in as I prefer other places.

There have been times where I’ve ordered from here three times in one week. No shame in my game. And no shame in my co-workers’ games apparently, as they order it with me. I order the same thing everytime. Perhaps it’s because I’m lame or boring. Or perhaps it’s because IT’S SODAMNGOOD. Chicken tikka masala, spice level 4, and some garlic naan. And maybs some extra rice because they cook it in oil and spices that make it delicious enough to eat on its own. My beefs with deep is that they sometimes give you a different spice level than what you ordered. I ordered a 4 and they gave me a 1 today. I had already been waiting an hour and a half so I wasn’t going to complain, but come on! There’s no spice now. Also, they are weird on their delivery times. They always say«it’ll be there in an hour», but it could range anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half. Whatever though. Deep keeps delivering, and I’ll keep eating.

Always looking for good Indian food and I found it in Cincinnati. This is located near a university and has typical in-out, plastic cutlery attitude. Don’t go expecting anything more than fast food service. However the food is anything but fast food. It is really tasty. If you ask for hot dishes they’ll ask you how hot. If you cannot eat sriracha like it is ketchup, don’t go for the hottest level. My only surprise is the size of the food. This is typical of American food. What I consider a meal for two they say is a meal for one. The special samosa is open face and large enough for a small meal. The curry chicken came with rice and naan. I couldn’t finish it all but it was so good I tried. :)

After a 2.5 wait, and several calls to the restaurant that promised the food was arriving in 10 minutes, our order arrived. It started with a work order we placed at 11AM for the office. Four people ordered a meal totaling just over $ 50 and were told it would 1.5 wait or approx. 12:30p. At 12:45 we began calling the restaurant and were told the delivery had already left and would arrive in 10 minutes. This happened several times until the delivery person finally arrived at 1:28 basically 2.5 hours after we placed the initial order. We grew increasingly concerned if the food was coming and if it did whether it would still be hot or not. The restaurant never called the delivery person, the delivery person never phoned us or the restaurant of the delay. When the delivery person arrived he was rude as if we inconvenienced him. They offered a $ 7 credit and a lot of attitude. We followed up one last time with the restaurant after the delivery arrived and asked for the manager. They placed us on hold and then hung up. As a working person it is absurd to take 2.5 hours for a work day lunch delivery and then have such terrible customer service and attitudes. The food is decent but the value was in the delivery option so our team could have a working lunch. Bottom line: don’t order from here. The convenience of the delivery option only works if you actually get your food(and it’s still hot) and besides who has 2.5 hours to waste during a work day or even an evening when you’re hungry. Deep India your customer service stinks!

I have never actually been to Deep India, but I order deliver from them about once a week since this summer. The only issue I have with this place and their delivery is the wait. On average they take about an hour and a half to deliver. I assume it’s because of how busy they are, but you would think they would staff for this sort of issue. Either way, the wait is worth it for me as their food is the best Indian in Cincinnati!

Indian food is plenty in Clifton, every block has a spot but this one hands down is my favorite! I was craving some tikka masala and garlic naan and stopped in on a Saturday for lunch and this place was packed. About a 15 min wait for the food but well worth it. The quality is pretty good though it caters more to the college crowd. The food is here is a bit more sweet and creamy then some of the other places I’ve tried but not a bad thing. It’s pretty affordable when compared to the amount of food you’re getting. They are definitely generous with the portions! Filled me up and had leftovers for dinner. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely will be back

Deep India looks rundown and questionable from the outside. Inside, it’s not much better — just a few well worn tables, and an ordering counter that has seen better days. Parking there isn’t a problem, it’s more like a bad joke, especially during the school year, with UC being right outside its doorstoop. And you never know if your wait for food will be 5 minutes or a half hour, or more. God, how I love this place Because they have, in my opinion, the very best chicken tikka masala to be found anywhere in the greater Cincinnati area. Good enough to fight the traffic, hunt down parking, and wait — wait because the food is cooked to order in an area within view of the cash register. And if that wasn’t enough, if you order at lunch, they thrown in a plain or garlic naan(Choose garlic, and thank me later), free of charge. And it too is made fresh right in front of you, in a traditional tandoor oven Just outstanding They offer the full typical set of other Northern indian dishes one finds on menus at other Indian restaurants around town as well — vindaloo, biryani, saag paneer, etc etc — and these too are also cooked to order while you wait, but I cant speak to any of these because I am so hooked on this one dish of theirs and have never ordered anything else. Due to the limited amount of seating space, I recommend you plan on getting carryout here. You will be lucky to get a seat at a table at any peak eating times Strongly recommended

Their rice is vegan because they use vegetable oil(unlike Dushmesh and Elephant Walk who use butter/ghee in their rice). My favorite dish here is Chana masala. The poori order doesn’t come with two pooris as listed on the menu but one giant poori/bhatura instead. Pooris and Chana masala is the classic Punjabi dish(totally vegan) that everyone must try. Deep makes great Chana masala. They don’t use ecofriendly packaging though. Only thing missing from their menu is some tofu saag. Deep has good food. Try it. You’d have to walk or find street or garage parking in the area though.

There are so many better indian places around! Yes they do deliver, however ours took an hour. We were at the college of medicine… what, like 5 minutes away? When I called at the one hour mark the guy was really rude and acted like I was being ridiculous! –no sir, you are! When we got our food it was SO greasy. I’ve had better quality rice and naan. The rice was overcooked and mushy, my onion naan tasted like an everything bagel with that dehydrated onion stench. The oil was floating to the top of my saag paneer, and my friends Chicken tikka masala had a thinner sauce than I’m used to and was much less flavorful and creamy than what I’m used to eating at Ambar. Despite being the only place to deliver indian, there is an $ 18 min, I would rather drive myself to ambar and spend half that price.

A staple Indian place for UC students! I eat here pretty often when I’m looking for a fix on heavy, creamy Indian food. The best time to go is for lunch. You can get a naan with the order and it’s the same portion size as dinner. They also have coupons in the Bearcash book if you are eating with a friend. My go to dish is with Mushroom Matar or Malai Kofta. Both are great with the kashmiri naan which has coconut and raisins. Just today though I tried some leftovers of a friend’s bhatara(spelling may be wrong), which is mashed up eggplant. It is easy less heavier than my usual dishes and with a lot of flavor. I’ll definitely be trying that next time!

When I’m in the mood for some takeout Indian food, I always go with Deep India. Among the handful of Indian restaurants in Clifton, they’re my favorite. They offer free deliver, $ 18 minimum, yes it’s a lil’ high, but most places don’t even deliver, or they require a minimum PLUS a delivery fee. Their food is solid. I looove their onion naan, unlike some other Indian places, they don’t overdo it with the spices in their onion naan. Even for delivery, the naan always arrives hot and soft. Their chicken tikka masala is another favorite of mine, chicken strips instead of chunky chicken, taste way better and not as dry. Their prices are also better, couple dollars cheaper than other Indian places nearby and their lunch special comes with free regular nann or garlic nann!
