Sad to say this Dollar General has been on a downhill slide for some time. I base this observation on numerous visits over the last six months or so. The shelves are consistently empty, and the stock that they do have is always in disorder. Pallets of boxes are all around with nobody unloading them. Prices are not marked on many items. Next to impossible to find an employee to help you. I have frequently walked in and observed the front cash registers unmanned. The discreetly located bathrooms, for which a key was available at the register, are now off limits to customers. This is still a good place for getting a greeting card, cheap medicines, or a toy for a child still too small to care how much you paid. Though the toy selection, too, is not what it used to be. But if you’re looking to fill your cart with household goods, foodstuffs, seasonal fun stuff, apparel, you will probably be disappointed here. It’s a darn shame because this area needs a good well stocked discount store. This used to be it! But not for a while now.
