I like the variety of things, most unusual. And the homemade soaps give a warm and wonderful and welcoming and soothing atmosphere to this compact shop. Always purchase one. You just never know what you are going to find. The staff welcomes you but leaves you to your shopping and browsing but also is ready to assist you if needed. Do your Christmas shopping here instead of going elsewhere. You will be glad you did.

I love this place! So many varieties of handmade items. Most are from recycled things or involve up-cycling of material. So many unique things to choose from, jewelry, paper products, homemade soaps, stuffed animals for kids and more. Really awesome and cool stuff. Always different one of a kinds and perfect for gift shopping.

As I was strolling down Hamilton Avenue, I decided to stop in this place I had never seen before… Fabricate. This is Cincinnati’s hidden treasure. What better place that has an awesome selection of EVERYTHING. Everything in Fabricate is hand-made. I never thought half of the items in this shop existed. I seen handmade cards, awesome t-shirts, earrings made of license plates… just dope concepts and designs. The staff is very energized and helpful. To pass the word on, I bought a gift card. Even the gift card is handmade. Super awesome also. I suggest you go, take a friend or two. You’ll be happy you did.

This is a great idea. It’s a co-op for local artists and designers to sell/promote their wares. There are funky T’shirts, jewelry, art, greeting card, and all sorts of items utilizing recycled materials.

I have to admit, I walked by Fabricate once or twice as I hesitated to go in. It seemed like a cool store, but on the other hand, it didn’t really seem like it was marketed to individuals of the male persuasion. After finally working up the courage to stretch what types of stores are socially acceptable for men to shop in, I made my way into the store and was pleasantly surprised at what I found inside. Well, I wasn’t completely surprised I guess. After looking around for a bit, I definitely had the feeling that a lot of what Fabricate carries is aimed more towards women. However, there was a plenty of stuff that I found cool and was even interested in purchasing for myself, including some items that were made from recycled records and other items, and a few pieces of art as well. Unfortunately, the art was just way too expensive. For what it is, a sort of collective hipster craft shop, Fabricate is really pretty cool. Will I be shopping here frequently? Probably not, but that is simply because I am not really the clientele that the shop is marketed towards. Can I see why others would want to shop here? Absolutely, and I would highly recommend to anyone who asked about it. Honestly, my only real complaint is the prices, which the woman who runs the shop(who is super friendly by the way) may not have control over if they are consigned pieces.

Don’t come to Fabricate looking for anything specific. Just show up and take your time looking through all the art and crafts. You will find something that you never knew you needed but must have. My favorite necklace and favorite t-shirt both came from this store. And I especially enjoy knowing that the purchases are unique(not worn by a million hipsters) and supported local vendors. The store feels more like an art gallery than a retail space. The employees don’t seem to mind that I spend way too long looking through everything. The prices can be very reasonable or out of my range, but it just depends on the vendor. This is a great place to shop for fun, quirky gifts(for my mother-in-law who has everything).

If you’re looking for a unique gift, this is your place. I could spend a whole day browsing around in this little shop. They offer crafts from local vendors, all in one location(kind of like consignment, but crafts instead of used clothing). Lots of interesting jewelry, decorative pieces, scarves, etc. They also offer some fun t-shirts. I find the staff to be pleasant. They stay out of your way and let you shop as you please. Also, good prices. You can find something fun that fits your budget, plus your friends will think you’re wicked cool when you gift them with a find from fabricate.

I’ve got to agree with the slew of five star reviews here. Who could hate this awesome, adorable, local store full of artistic treats and treasures? Fabricate is a store unlike others. It’s full of the most amazing and unique collection of items from local artists: shirts and buttons and stuff for your home or stuff for your bike and so on. The stuff they carry is fresh and new and always changing, so the thing you find one day may not be there the next(hint: if you love it, buy it.) It’s kind of hipster decoration paradise — so clearly not for all. But for those it is for, they will love it. They also use their walls as space for local art. Each month there’s a new display and they always throw a pretty amazing kickoff party to celebrate it in the store. Parking is on the street but there usually is plenty of it(if you have a hard time finding a spot on the main road, duck down any of the side ones and there’s spots galore.) Northside is such a cool neighborhood and this only helps keep that rep. Don’t ever change Fabricate … or, you know, keep changing in that amazing way you do.

If you don’t like Fabricate you have no soul. Very neat little items that you cannot find anywhere else, good art by local artists and extremely friendly owner and shop workers. Helps to make Northside what it is and right by Take The Cake so you can grab a cupcake before or after. Sheer perfection.

Fabricate has it going on. Absolutely worth your time if out looking for a cool gift or a bauble for yourself. Excellent price point; fun jewelry that you won’t find anywhere else — good work. No craft crime here! Hair stuff, small paintings, great t-shirts and even baby items. The store hours are a bit funny. Call first to make sure they are open. Way to go Northside! Another winner!

Fabricate opened about the same time as my business partners and I moved our business to Northside a little over a year ago and it is one of the best places to step your pretty little shoes into! The atmosphere is warm and inviting and you can tell the amazing and friendly owners have put their hearts and imagination into it! Anything crafty or up cycled is featured creatively in their sweet space. Lots of neat T-shirts and some clothing as well. They also have very entertaining art openings/sophisticated parties showcasing local artists once a month! These parties are always loads of fun and I look forward to them each month! Overall a great place to keep on your local shopping list!

Talk about odd and delightful. This place has a little something of everything, mostly the type of things you’d never realize you needed until you saw them.(the best kind) What better than something a local artist has poured their heart and soul into to light up your life, or for that special someone. It’s fun just to walk around and get inspired, and if that works, they have most of the supplies you’ll need to get going. I will say though, the effect is a bit like going to the grocery store when you are hungry, so be aware. :)

Fabricate is difficult to pin down. It is an art supply store. It is a boutique shop. It is an art gallery. It is all these things, but more importantly it is always filled with something unique. If you are the sort of person that likes to buy products that have a story then this is the place for you. The owners of Fabricate have found some of the most interesting local artists to showcase their products for your benefit. You’ll find clothes, jewelry, bags, shoes(yes, handmade shoes), pottery, and plenty of other items that are unique and lovely. While your shopping, make sure and take a look at the art that adorns the walls, because let’s not forget that Fabricate is an art gallery, too. They seem to have a new show go up every month! And on your way out, pick up some pens, or brushes, or whatever other art supplies you might need. If they don’t have it, make a suggestion. They’re always open to ideas for new product.
