Fieldstone at Glenwood Crossing

Has that clean, new, nice, and safe feel to it. Staff is friendly and normally on top of the needs of the residents.
Amenities: Pool, exercise room, computer room, and a main hall where you can have parties or play games, etc. Good location, suburban feel, reasonably priced.
Sometimes outside work starts before 10:00 A.M. Parking can be cumbersome when coming home late.

The fieldstone apartment complex is around 10 years old and conveniently located between the GE Evendale Plant and the GE Engine Services facilities along Merchant Street. The apartment themselves are pretty standard and comparable to the Avalon apartments.
crime — not being a native to this area, we picked this apartment because of its proxmity to the offices we needed to visit… our commutes are ~4 minutes each way. after talking to locals, this area is pretty dangerous … as in, don’t go jogging outside after dark, or in the daytime as well. we never experienced anything to scare us away. plus i’m a gym snob, so i drive everyway to mason, ohio to go to lifetime fitness for my gym needs
Pool — yes, but we were there in the winter … so never used it
Gym — lame, old equipment, but it does have a self-​setup tanning bed… a first of all the corporate housing i’ve been
Parking — hard to get a spot in front of your building after 10:00pm, but i assume most people get home before that hour… except for us
Neighbors — walls are kind of thin, so you can hear your neighbors’ «elevated» conversations
Cable — you’re stuck with time warner
Internet — DO NOT get the DSL from cincinnati bell, it is slower than dial-​up. i resorted to a Spring broadband card, but that was even slow!
Cell phone reception — no problems with AT&T
amenities — grocery/​dry cleaners/​chinese food/gas/mcD’s/popeyes!!! are all next door. you can walk or even take a special access road built specifically for the complex! the springfield cinema de lux (yes, it is spelled that way) is a short 10 minute drive away! and costco/​bestbuy/​circuit city/ponderosa/chipotle/fridays/tuesdays/BJ’s/borders/target/walmart is a 6 minute drive! convenient!
misc — construction just started for an addition building opposite of the clubhouse. noise pollution begins promptly at 7:30am
