Awesome atmosphere and great beer menu. Had quite a few of them in a flight. They were varied and all on point. Definitely ones I preferred more than others but you could tell all of them were done expertly. Both the lights and the darks had ones that I enjoyed. The sweet stout one was balanced perfectly and not overly sweet. The atmosphere is upscale brew. Nice change from some of the more bar type tap rooms. Didn’t try the food but it looked good and I will have to have some when I return. The menu is defiantly more new American bistro than pub or bar.

The beer selection is large and varied. Ido wish the food was a bit hardier, but their salads are delicious. Still surprised that fries are not on the menu. The location is fun, I love that they have pit an old building to good use and have a fireplace. Still, there need to be more tv’s in the bar area. We tried to watch the game there and I came home with a stiff neck from constantly turning to look at the tv. The staff is helpful and informative and I would totally come back in to try their summer salads.

I love this place. The space is fantastic, both inside and out. During the warmer months, we like to hang out on the patio with our friends and enjoy a good dinner while we drink. The beer, oh the beer, delicous, full bodied, full of flavor, it’s good. There is something for everyone here. Not into beer, that’s fine. There’s something for you too. Ps — Even if you’re not that hungry, try the smoked Gouda Grits.

Great food but small menu. They have lots of beer options. The Pilsner was good. The food tastes great! Lots of people roll through on buster tours. Definitely a great place if you like beer

From a distance, Fifty West Brewing Co. looks like a funeral home. Upon further investigation, however, you’ll find a cozy, dimly lit brewery with delicious offerings and helpful staff. If you’re not from Cincy like me, you won’t just happen upon this place(thanks Unilocal!). However, trust the power of the Unilocal stars to lead you here.

Fifty West is the best! Great ambience for families and just hanging out with friends. There are awesome seating areas, especially outside in the beer garden in the spring and summer! The food is amazing and original. They don’t just serve typical bar food, and the portions are a good size. The menu changes so there’s always something new to try. The beer is the best craft beer I have ever had! There is so much history surrounding the building and I’m glad it was revived by such a fantastic business. Some of the larger breweries can be too loud and lose the feel of a casual and great time out eating and drinking but Fifty West has not! It’s the perfect size and has a nice home feel! I can’t wait until the expansion is done across the street! I know I will be going there often! On a separate note, the Fifty Fest event in the fall is so much fun! I went this past fall and I can’t wait to go again next year! Great food, music and beer and a fun event to just hang out at with friends! Everyone needs to check it out!

Came here for lunch with my mom, grandma, and cousin, Stephanie. Food was pretty yummy. I had the falafel. Large and well-flavored. They have a beer that is a lighter version of Great Lakes Christmas Ale. I believe it is only 6% ABV and it is called XMas Cookie Ale. It was definitely good, but not quite up to par with Great Lakes. I certainly wouldn’t write it off it though. Still yummy. We only had one beer here, so I can’t speak to anything else beer-wise. Service was good.(Except for one small minor detail: I collect matchboxes from different bars/restaurants. The bartender looked at me like I had two heads when I asked about this. I think he even rolled his eyes at me. Whatever. Our server was super sweet. Easy to dismiss this minor detail). I enjoyed the ambiance. Hope to return next time I visit family in this part of Ohio.

So we finally made it to 50 West for our Bloody Mary contest between Brian and Joe. First, let me say they were BOTH excellent. Bottom line though, I personally liked Joe’s best. It was super flavorful which lots of spice, celery seeds, and extra olives! My boyfriend preferred Brian’s, so to each their own, like I said, both were awesome! We also split the chicken torta which was great as usual. Lighter option but with lots of flavor.

My boyfriend and I visited 50 West for dinner and we loved it. Their beer list was great, and we were both happy with what we ordered. I got the Speed Bump and it had a great smooth flavor. My boyfriend got the Drive-By IPA and we both loved it(I’m normally not a huge IPA-lover). Their menu is super unique, and after a lot of debate I got the peanut falafel. It had a lot of flavor and great texture. I’ll definitely be returning for the beer, food, and friendly service. And the cool outdoor terrace, once the weather gets warmer.

Awesome ambiance, great place to grab a beer and dinner. They do what they do perfectly, each dish is paired perfectly with one of their beers, and their menu is imaginative and fun. Love coming here to hang out and grab something to eat. A very solid 4 stars, not giving it 5 because the food didn’t blow me away or particularly excite me, but was very well executed and fair for the price and expectations set.

I found info for Fifty West Brewing on the Unilocal app. Living in Portland, Oregon I have grown accustomed to consuming excellent craft beer. Visiting Cincinnati I wanted to experience some local Ohio craft beers. First and foremost I am quite impressed with the overall Craft Brewing scene in Cincinnati. Secondly I really have to tout and recognize Fifty West Brewing for providing me and my family a wonderful and extremely satisfying dinner while at the same time being able to sample several of their noteworthy beers. Our service was flawless, from the moment of being seated until the culmination of our dinner all of the staff we interacted with were true customer service professionals. Our waitress was top notch. She was friendly, outgoing, attentive and took time to explain to me the different Fifty West beers that were available. One particular beer of note is Fifty West’s Home Sweet Home Brown Ale. If I were to die… consuming a Home Sweet Home would be my final request… this beer is AMAZING and I’ve not expereinced anything quite like it before. Home Sweet Home is a wonderful autumn/winter season brew made with sweet potatoes, molasses, sage, cinnamon, toasted pecans and the addtion of vanilla beans post-fermintation. This beer rates as one of my all-time favorites. Presently living in Portland, Oregon and previously Seattle, Washington and Fort Collins/Denver, Colorado I know and have experienced great beer. Fifty West Brewing and their offerings(particularly the Home Sweet Home) rank as my all-time favorites! Fifty West is a must do if you find yourself in Cincinnati or the tri-state area. Now I have every reason in the world to make a return visit to Cincinnati… by the way Fifty West… can you please distribute your awesome beer to the Pacific Northwest???

Finally got to stop in to the taproom after having their beer at several places around Cincinnati. I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after finishing a long bike ride, it’s a quick walk from the Bass Island trailhead off of the Loveland bike trail. Maybe it was the exhaustion and slight dehydration, but their beer was great. Not a big beer person? Come for the cool historical mansion. Cool exposed, hand-hewn beams, and big old fire place make it a cool place to grab a bite to eat or a pint. I sat at the bar and had a beer and caught part of the Bengals game. Great service, they are very helpful and will talk about the beer with you. They know their stuff. I can;t wait to come back and try the food.

This place is truly unique; from its atmosphere, to it’s concept. The building itself is charming. It appears to be an old farmhouse. The brewery has plans to expand the facility, which is welcomed by me. I’m sure the execution will be on point with the design. I’ve been a few times, with a different purpose each time. It’s a good option for dinner, or even for just a quick drink. We stopped in yesterday afternoon. To my surprise, it was quite empty during the Bengals game. It turned out to be an awesome place to casually watch the game and throw back a few beers. My favorite one on tap yesterday was the Rainbow Road IPA. Admittedly, it’s hard for me to «cheat» on my favorite local brewery which shall remain unnamed, but I have to give props to Fifty West!

Came here on Penny Tuesday, and it was pretty fun. They flip a Penny, and if you call it right, your beer is a penny. We got 5⁄8 right, so paid only $ 15 for 8 pints. Try the Pilsner, it was spectacular. The food was amazing as well. The pretzel with beer cheese was good. There was a lot of pretzel and cheese for 4 people. The seafood lettuce wrap was teeming with crawfish, shrimp, and crabs. It was so tasty but only had 3 wedges. The pork belly sandwich was very good. Service was better than most bar/brew restaurant.

My Sister brought me and her kids over to 50W for lunch this past weekend. I was very pleasantly surprised by how cozy and warm it is inside. Unfortunately, it was too dang hot to sit outside on their lovely patio area. Next time, we’ll be outside. Our server was wonderful. He was attentive and helpful without being overbearing. He gave us suggestions where we needed them. I opted for the ½ salad and ½ sandwich combo with the strawberry-rhubarb salad and seafood roll. The salad was the perfect thing for a hot day and the seafood roll was super tasty. My niece got almost the same thing, although she went for the turkey avocado club sandwich. She was not a fan of the guacmole/mashed avocado on the sandwich but she ate around it and liked the rest of the sandwich. For beer, I ended up with the Are we there yet saison which I really liked… although, next time I’ll try a flight so I can try some of their pretty wide selection of beers. My Sister is always looking for an excuse to come back here and I intended to regularly give her an excuse to visit again.

I wasn’t as impressed with this place as I had hoped when i read reviews and looked at the pictures posted of food. The atmosphere was great, especially the patio. And the beer was tasty, I favor lighter beers and enjoyed the Eleanor. The food however wasn’t anything special. I had the smoked salmon sandwich. It was fine and they home smoke their salmon, but it still lacked flavor or something to make it special. The chickpea salad on the side was also underwhelming and needed seasoning. Overall a great place for a beer and I would still be interested in returning to try their burger night, but the food was just average.

Oh my GOD I was blown away by Fifty West. We came here for dinner on a Friday night with my fiancé and his parents. The host told us we had a 20 minute wait, which we had no problem with. We grabbed a few of their delicious beers at the bar and played a round of shuffle board. Less than 10 minutes went by before our host came by to tell us our table was ready. It was so fast! They seem to change their menu pretty frequently. We started off with the short rib poutine, which was phenomenal. The gravy was extremely flavorful, and the short ribs were deliciously tender and complemented well with the cheese curds. Everyone loved it(we could have probably scarfed down another order)! For dinner my date got the pork belly sandwich and I got the mussels. The mussels were probably the best I have ever had… The beer broth was complex and so well-seasoned. My date loved his pork belly, and his only complaint was that the bread was a little over-toasted(really, a very small complaint). We also got the cheesy grits and the roasted brussel sprouts on the side. I’m getting hungry for those grits just writing this review… It was creamy, cheesy, and the grits had great texture. We were completely stuffed after our dinner, but when our waiter said that they had a different dessert every night and tonight’s dessert was a Elvis cookie: peanut butter/chocolate cookie with marshmallow, banana fluff and candied bacon… Yeah, we weren’t going to pass that up. Good god it was sooooo good. I seriously have nothing bad to say about this place. It was absolute perfection. I can’t wait to come back when it’s warmer and hang out on that patio!

I’ve been to fifty west twice now, and I must say first that they have one of my all time favorite beers, called very appropriately… punch you in the EYEPA. It’s so delicious if you like strong IPAs(9% abv!) I was craving it since it had been quite a while since our first visit. We had the meatballs appetizer, the meat was perfectly cooked, the sauce was spicy and herby, we sopped it all up in with the bread after the meatballs were gone. Highly recommended. For dinner, I had the cioppno, it’s like a seafood stew, which is a dish I love to order anywhere and it did not disappoint, you definitely would have to be in the mood for all that seafood but I was. They give you lots of mussels, about 4 good size shrimps some little calamari rings and a small cod filet. The cod was a little over done probably because it sat in the hot broth. The broth was tomatoey, very tasty, it also got sopped up by bread. My boyfriend got the chicken pot pie, a favorite of his, he liked it, but it wasn’t for me. There was a band playing some fun music(I believe they do this every Thursday), which we enjoyed, and they had a fire going as well. Great date night!
