We have thus far had a horrible experience with Jared. My fiancé bought me a diamond necklace last Christmas and the chain had broke 2 times.(Not their fault) After getting it fixed 3 times they finally said they would replace the chain(because they give you 3 chances to lose the diamond necklace before agreeing to replace it) which is their policy. After having to leave it multiple times to have it fixed and then several weeks to have the chain replaced we got a call saying it was ready. Keep in mind this store is 30 minutes away from the house. When we arrived to pick it up they informed my fiancé after 20 minutes they had lost it and we would have to come back another time. The found it a few days later. Tonight we arrived right before 9 and the doors were already locked so I called the store because all we wanted to do was pick up the necklace. They had already started closing down before 9 so they said we would again have to come back. This does not even come close to when my fiancé had bought my engagement ring there months ago before this happened and he was lied to make a sale that day. I have such tiny fingers that he asked whether he should find out a ring size close to what I needed and they said no. After confirming with the manager they said the ring could be sized to anyone that we needed. So… when we went to get it sized they said they would have to order a new ring since the one I had was a 7 and I needed a 4. The ring that he spent months planning the perfect day, the one where he cried asking me as he put it on my finger, the ring I showed to all my friends and family would go back in their inventory and we could have a new ring. Talk about making something so sentimental lose it value. Once we get this figured out we will never be back.

Getting engaged is so exciting, but Jared ruined the ring buying experience for me and my fiancé. The«VIP treatment»(greeting you at the door, offering drinks, pretending to care about how you met) is to distract you from noticing their superior attitudes and plan to financially rape you. I’m not an expert on diamonds and rings, but I had an idea of what I wanted. However, any question I asked was met with a face full of disdain and responses like, «How do you not understand this?» I finally pieced something together that I liked but was not sure we were definitely going with Jared, because the two ladies working with us were making me extremely uncomfortable. The next thing I know, my credit was ran, we were offered $ 500 off, and we were handing them cash and signing paperwork. I felt rushed and regretted the whole thing later. When we picked up the ring, I had a very friendly lady explain to me the breakdown of the costs. It turns out that we were being charged for three services that we never agreed to. We never got the $ 500 off, and could not get a hold of the lady who promised it. We couldn’t even get a manager on the phone. They also never gave me the information on the diamond that I need for insurance purposes. Jared lost us as customers, and others still wanting to buy from them should be very careful.

My fiancée and I came here when we were starting to think about getting wedding bands. They rolled out the proverbial red carpet for us, which was nice. At the end, the«diamondologist» asked us to fill out some paperwork for a credit check and a rebate off our future purchase. There’s a big difference between a hard pull and a soft pull on your credit report, so I asked which it would be — the guy insisted it would NOT be a hard pull. Later I checked my credit report, and there was a credit inquiry from Jared’s. Two stars for dishonesty.

They see so many customers, so they don’t really care about you. They tried to charge us for a dip of a ring that should be free, so now I have to goto a Jared in dayton. Stay away from here, there’s other places

We were very impressed with the store. We were greeted at the door. One person assisted us through the whole process of having a ring fixed. We were not passed around from person to person. The repairs were done on time and at the agreed upon price. We plan to use Jared in the future for all of our jewelry needs.

It took a few minutes for us to be helped when we first got here, but after that it was smooth sailing. I was looking to get a wedding band custom made for myself to fit my oddly shaped engagement ring. Mark I believe his name was, was super helpful, and pulled out some bands they had to see what style I liked. At first I was a little worried as all the diamond encrusted ones came out, but then when I explained what i was looking for more in depth, he really listened, and was never once pushy about trying to add more than I wanted. The price was one of the best ones i had found as well, beating local jewelers by anywhere from $ 100 to $ 300 dollars. They have their custom goldsmith on site and said they could have it done in a day, 3 days tops if their busy. Which when it means I won’t have my engagement ring for that long means so much more than a month or 2!
