Had the same experience as another reviewer. We innocently went to this park to let the dog run around when the walking trails at California were unexpectedly closed. When we got there, the gate was open and we came in. Yes, we saw the sign that said you had to be a member and we would have joined or paid an entry fee had there been some way to do that onsite. There wasn’t, so we went inside figuring we weren’t hurting anyone. After about 5 minutes, this woman walked up and asked if we were members. We admitted we were not and she proceeded to lecture us about how their members take pride in their park, that all dogs had to be current on their vaccinations, etc. At first we assumed she worked for the parks district. After she went on and on, we figured out she was just a nosey, unpleasant person who was offended by our presence! We’re nice people, we have a good, non-aggressive dog who, so far as we could tell, was behaving appropriately. She was just hell bent on protecting her«private» park. After leaving, we looked up the membership information and requirements. It’s a whopping $ 45/year.(We are members at Wags, which runs $ 25/month!!!) The park itself is easily worth it BUT, if that is the type of person who hangs around there, I want NO part of it! We appreciate wanting to keep it nice but it’s not like we walked in there with our rabid dog and proceeded to tear the place up. We were minding our own business. It would have been nice if she would have done the same. I think we’ll stick with Wags and it’s hefty price tag. At least no one there has ever yelled at me!!!

Super Sketchy place. I’ve been here a few times and put money in their little donation box. As it said it was free but they would glady take donations. Then this place«upgraded» to being five dollars, per dog, every time you entered. Still okay. Then they made a new rule, you HAD to have purchased a pass for $ 30 per dog prior to coming to the dog park. A volunteer«worker» was on a power trip and literally would not let me come in, even though I offered to pay the five dollars that I thought it was. It was a last resort, but the dog park I usually go to was closed so I came here recently only to find out that it had a GIGANTIC fortress around it. Super thick black fencing with electronic entrances. Looked like a doggy prison! The weirdest thing I have ever seen. I go to a lot of dog parks and this is bizarre. At least three other people came to walk their dog, and either they forgot their pass or had no idea why this weird black fortress thing was up either. I get it, you don’t want people not taking care of the park, but this is extreme to where I never want to go back here again. Save yourself the trouble and go to Otto Armleder( ) FREE and there are tons of nice people with well behaved dogs.

I’m really glad that Anderson Township is investing in parks all over the east side. Kellogg Park is a dog park and soccer fields as its main use but it also is a parking lot for the future Ohio River Trail. The dog park looks large but fairly simple and the soccer fields are some variety I’m unfamiliar with, there are small goals and short fields. The trail is why I visited Kellogg Park. The completed trail length is from Sutton to 5mile which according to the signs is 1.47mi in one direction. The park sits at like 1.25mi from Sutton. I am excited for this to connect to Lunken Airport and beyond someday, but for a basic short run or walk, the trail is nice. Part of it is in the woods and part of it follows Kellogg road past River Downs.
