Kitty’s has a little open air kiosk in the Atrium building on 4th Street in addition to its shop in the Mercantile Building. This review focuses on the Atrium location. Whenever I want coffee at work, I head to Kitty’s. The coffee is full of flavor and the service is quick, even when there’s a hefty line. I like reviewing them on Square whenever I get my receipt in my inbox because it reminds me that I’ve always had a pleasant experience frequenting their counter. I don’t do fancy coffee drinks; I just get regular blend black coffee and it’s always delicious. It has the right amount of caffeine in it, too, so it gets me going faster in the morning without the jitters. Their kiosk is set up nicely and everything looks clean. The baristas are friendly and seem to be working hard whenever I walk past. I love that they’re open early because I’m never waiting for them to open to get my drink. Not sure why anyone would waste their money at Starbucks when Kitty’s is in the same lobby. Support local because they’re great. If you’re on 4th Street and want a great, fast cup of coffee, pop in and give them your business. You won’t regret it.

Kitty’s is a cute little coffee shop located inside of the Mercantile building downtown. I went to Kitty’s for an impromptu business meeting and I really liked the place. It’s small but just the right size for a coffee shop. The prices are decent and they offer much more than coffee. Kitty’s has lots of drinks on the menu(great for morning or lunch time), salads, sandwiches and wraps. Our service was great and fast. Since meeting was @ 9am, I simply had coffee but while sitting there I could smell the aroma of breakfast sandwiches being made… Yummm… The next time I go back, I’ll definitely be getting another coffee or maybe a pumpkin spiced latte along with one of those awesome smelling breakfast sandwiches!

I really enjoyed the product and highly recommend Kitty’s if you are in the area. I actually went in with the intent of having a Carmel Latte, but the Barista suggested a Carmel Leche. Despite my reluctance, I acquiesced and I must say I was very pleased. The Barista explained the difference to me — it’s essentially all steamed together — but that really wasn’t the point in hindsight. It was really clever of them to offer something others don’t and make you feel special in the process. Well done Kitty staff. Well done. My only critique of the establishment is the location within the location. I love that it is in the heart of downtown, but I can’t really enjoy sitting in their shop with no windows looking outside. Usually when you are in downtown, chances are you are working, and a view outside is a nice treat in addition to the coffee…

I love Kitty’s Coffee! Best coffee in Cincinnati and none of that watered down or too strong stuff you get at other places. They know your name when you walk in and treat you like a person versus a wallet. The lunch menu keeps getting better all the time! I would love to see them open on Saturday as well because I miss my morning coffee when I work

Kitty’s is such a great place that I was shocked to see any negatives here. I give them five stars, one for each of the reasons below. 1. Wonderful Sandwiches and I especially enjoy Kitty’s CB&J with homemade Cashew Butter 2. Great Coffee beans for purchase 3. Lower prices than that Seattle place and better product. 4. Comfortable ambiance, clean, and an easy walk from all of downtown 5. Nice people working there!

So. Disappointed. First, it took 20 minutes to get a cup of soup and a panini to go. Second, if I pay $ 9 for said cup of soup and panini, it better be delicious. My sandwich was burnt and the«creamy» broccoli soup was very thin and tasted like nothing but flour and black pepper. I was so looking forward to trying their lunch as I walk past their sandwich board every day on my way to the office, but I will not stray from Tom + Chee for my soup & sandwich lunches again. Sorry, Kitty’s Coffee. I really wanted to love you.

I had kitty’s for the first time today. My new Unilocal friend introduced me and raved about how great it was– she was not wrong! I got the pumpkin spiced latte and did it ever hit the spot! It had the perfect blend of sweetness and amount of caffeine and made me think of autumn. Sweet, sweet autumn! I didn’t actually go into the restaurant as a co-worker brought me this drink(very thoughtful), but I assure you– I will be going back. I am happy to support locally owned businesses, especially coffee shops, and this one is close enough to work that I can pop in before I have to be at the office. I am very excited to spend a decent amount of money here, as coffee is one of my loves! I’m also excited to actually go to the store, meet the owners, check out the atmosphere, etc. I’ll be sure to let you all know when I do!

I have been supporting this coffee shop since it opened as Koffee Klatch in the 80s. I like to support local businesses and find the Seven Hills coffee served there to taste MUCH better than Starbucks. Now the owners Kitty and Gary have added soups and sandwiches to the menu. With many years in the restaurant business, they now serve up recipes that are tried and true. Not only do they taste great, the prices are very reasonable. Sandwiches are between $ 5 and $ 6 and include chips.

Without question, the best coffee shop in the galaxy. Best mocha there ever was. Muffins? Oh yes. A very clean place with top notch service, A+ humor, and laser-fast preparation. Excellent prices on everything. If you aren’t getting your daily coffee here, do yourself a huge favor and stop on in tomorrow!

Wanting to try something new and bound by the lack of choices for coffee within walking distance Downtown, my student from Brazil suggested we try Kitty’s Coffee in the Mercantile Building. I was hoping it would turn out to be one of those excellent hole-in-the-wall places that go overlooked by most people. I was wrong. The interior is nice. Sparse, but nice and they did a good job with the space they were given. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and helpful — even with the difficulty of my student’s broken English. Were I judging based on service alone they’d easily earn four stars. Unfortunately, I’m judging them mostly on the coffee which was atrocious. My student had a café au lait and a blueberry muffin. His drink was unpleasant enough that he got about half way through and declared he couldn’t finish it. The muffin was, at best, convenience store bland. I just had a regular brewed coffee which, like the muffin, was depressingly flavorless. I can deal with bad coffee. If I find a particular coffee to be disgusting I can at least assume that it’s just not to my taste and certainly someone else out there must like it. This wasn’t bad though, it was nothing. I wouldn’t have been surprised to learn that someone had filled my cup with hot, black food coloring tinted water. I think the most upsetting part is — in an area where national chains dominate half the options for getting coffee — I was hoping Kitty’s Coffee would be more like a Tazza Mia or even a Coffee Emporium. Instead it’s essentially the world’s most depressing Starbucks.

This is a smaller coffee shop with quality product. There are fresher roasts available, but this price has that small business vibe that lets you leave with a feeling of doing something for the community with your cup of joe. This isn’t a coffee shop where you’re going to sit and drink coffee or get a refill, so just accept that before you go in. They have a loyalty card which makes the coffee a little better deal, but it’s only sold once a month(I’m not going to say when, stop in and ask!)

Hidden in the Mercantile Building downtown, this is a little gem of a coffee place. I love it when I run out of coffee at home and«have to» go to Kitty’s for an expresso. Skip Starbucks and go to a real coffee shop. Just wish they had room for seating. I take mine to go anyhow, but it would be a nice mid-day option if I’m needing a perk. That’s the only reason they don’t get five stars.
