This is probably one of my favorite sit-down Thai restaurants in Cincinnati. Servers are nice, and patient. Can make spice levels on most dishes lower or none at all. The best yellow Thai curry I’ve ever had. Their Mango Sweet Rice is a for sure to get! Comes with a good portion of Mango slices and sweet rice drenched in coconut milk. My friends always get a seafood dish/noodle/rice and it comes with a abundance of it! They do not disappoint on the amount of seafood they give. This place is a bit small and can get busy, so you may have to wait during dinner rush hours. Overall, always a good time, and full belly here! Parking is a little hard, so make sure you know how to street park/parallel park!

A friend told me that this place was good so I decided to give it a try. The Pad Thai noodles was okay but it was plain. The Pad Thai at Green Papaya was better. I don’t think it was Pad Thai noodles because it more thick than the usual skinny noodles. It was hard to find parking here and I have to park on the side but it was hard to get out because it’s right at the main road so a lot of car were passing by. For all the parking difficulty, I expected the food to taste better lol.

Because I really like and trust the friend that recommended, I am willing to give this place another chance and will update accordingly, BUT as it stands, this place is about 2.5 stars. I got the crispy Pahd Thai at a spice level of 3. It wasn’t exactly what I would call crispy(but I did get carry out so the steam in the box during travel could have been what ruined it – no stars deducted for that). But the taste was over-all just average to below average. It wasn’t spicy ATALL(my mom could have eaten it, and she think bbq sauce is too spicy). It was also sweet. And not like a natural sweetness — ALMOST to syrupy sweet, but slightly different. Finally, I got the dish with tofu(as I’m trying to be vegetarian) and it had little bits of chicken in it – probably from a twice-used pan(twice-using a pan doesn’t bother me – no stars deducted). Since I’m also the world’s WORST vegetarian I didn’t care, but for someone that for religious or ethical reasons doesn’t eat meat, that could be a huge issue.

The food is delicious and they give you enough for 3 meals. Inexpensive but good quality. I know you can carry out but I’m not sure if they deliver or not. There’s not a lot of parking so normally we park in the Busken parking lot and try to cross the street.

6 years later and Lemongrass still has kept its same reputation of being the BEST in Thai cuisine in the city in my opinion. I got what I used to get at least once a week: Singapore noodles and coconut soup. Nothing shy of amazing!!! I love coming home to familiar greatness! Makes my heart smile

This place is a nicely decorated restaurant and the staff was attentive to our needs. Service was decent as well. I had the thai basil duck and also ordered the Massaman curry which is a classic and both were quite good. I’d definitely come back to try out the rest of the menu.

Great service and yummy in noodle dishes. They sat us right away in a comfy corner. Started with the corn fritter cakes on a friend’s recommendation, which didnt have enough corn or taste. I and the pork paht mee and my husband and the beef lad na «rad nar». Both main dishes were very yummy and the spice level was on point. Veggies weren’t over cooked, and a nice sweet fish sauce taste. Interior needs to be cleaned up. Looks like the walls needs a good scrubbing, and cluttered storage in dining. A nice Thai spot, but nothing mindblowing & what you expect out of a affordable restaurant.

Driving through Cincinnati we wanted to find a good restaurant for us to stop at for lunch. I am so glad we picked Lemon Grass. I had the Singapore Noodles with tofu and the dish was amazing. Probably one of the best Thai food places I have ever been to. The food came fast, wasn’t expensive, not too spicy, and delicious. Didn’t get much experience with the staff but from our quick visit I can’t complain.

I love Lemon Grass. I’ve been coming here for years and is right down the street from me in Hyde Park. It’s like visiting friends. The staff is outstandingly nice. I usually order their chicken pad thai spice level 3 and their spring rolls as they are consistently delicious. Several out of town friends insist on coming here when they visit. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. What are you waiting for… go.

Note my reviews are relative to the type of restaurant. I love Lemon Grass. I have been coming here for years and always get great service. I have eaten almost everything on the menu at some point and love some of it, like some of it. I am not a fan of curry and sometimes that is a little heavy, light is good for me. Every once in awhile it seems the kitchen gets overwhelmed so if they are really busy when you are seated, order slowly have an appetizer. Spice rating is 0 – 10 and 10 is very, very hot. The décor is aging and needs to be updated but they keep it clean! Wine and beer are available with an okay selection. Prices are very reasonable. If you like Thai, definitely try it.

I really wasn’t impressed with Lemon Grass. I had the Lemon Grass Noodles in #1 spice level(ie mild spice level), which, according to the menu online, are made with wide rice noodles and a brown sauce. I ended up with a dish that was made with what I am almost positive is linguine pasta(that stuff you buy by the box in the super market). They were certainly not wide rice noodles. When I asked the waiter about the pasta, he didn’t have a response. Also my dish did not have a brown sauce, it came with a spicy red sauce that everybody else eating with me agreed was too spicy. The person next to me asked for a medium spice level, and I suspected that our spicy-ness level got mixed up, since the dish he received wasn’t spicy at all. I asked the kitchen to fix the mistake, and my dish came out covered in a diabetes-inducing sauce that was so sweet, it was inedible. At that point, I gave up. Also, one of the other people at the table said the seafood paht thai needs significantly more fish sauce.

I decided to try this when I was on the hunt for good Thai food in the Nati. While the staff was very friendly, this place did not sit well with me. I’m all down for«hole in the wall» joints when the food is good, but here the food was meh. My curry did not taste like curry, the spring rolls and shrimp appetizer were over-fried and really greasy, and my friend’s Pad Se Ew was just… not good. Top it off, my sake tasted like rubbing alcohol.

Evert time I visit my alma mater, I have to stop here. Being coming since undergrad and they have the best curries. Really an untapped gem of the city.

This ia the best Thai restaurant I have ever been to. We always bring guests here as the service is as wonderful as it is speedy. We have been here at varying hours of the day and rarely wait for a table(this is great for couples who wait until the last minute to decidewhat to eat for dinner!). For the health conscious they also offer brown rice to be served with their dishes which is a huge plus! My favorite is the chicken thai spicy-yum!

Delicious curries! Love the food! It’s kind of a dive but it’s part of the appeal for me!

This is not Thai. We had pad thai, red curry, and spring rolls. All were identical to Chinese fast food and we have been Thai food aficionados for 10+ years. This is a Chinese restaurant. Not a Thai one.

We decided to try this place when my husband was on a recent quest for Asian cuisine that we haven’t tried before. Meh. Take it or leave it. The place needs a good cleaning. The shelves beneath the hostess stand were literally overflowing with papers and folders and the whole place had a dusty, untidy feel to it. My dining companions and husband seemed to be okay with their dishes, although their main complaint was that the seasoning seemed a little overzealous in the sauce. Because I wasn’t feeling too great, I ordered the Wun Ton soup and a few of the appetizers. The appetizers were fine, as expected, but the soup seemed to be in the wrong broth(it tasted like beef broth or something– not what I was expecting.) Overall the meal wasn’t terrible, but I probably wouldn’t make it my first choice as there are so many other great Asian places in the Oakley/Hyde Park area.

The paht see ew was what I got which is my norm for Thai and an appetizer of pot stickers. The paht was sweeter than most I have tried however the noodles were a different style which I liked. The place was right on Madison and the building was in need of some upkeep. The duck my date got was phenomenal and flavorful — I’d happily eat duck like that everyday!

I decided to try this hole in the wall joint and was not disappointed. The pot sticker sauce made the divine. The duck had a PERFECT sear on the skin with the crisp you are looking for and the basil sauce… holy cow! Definitely give them a shot! If you like your food hot they seem to have a conservative heat scale but the food is fabulous. Yum!

My now-husband introduced me to Lemon Grass when we first first started dating several years ago, and I have loved it since. I think we would literally eat there once a week, which suited me just fine because it is so cheap and consistently good. The place ain’t pretty. You won’t find snazzy ½ off sushi or nouveau Asian fusion dishes. But again the food is so good and cheap, we have always had friendly service by the same staff members, and it’s BYOB, which is cool. A friend once described LG as «every dish has some form of the same brown sauce — but who cares because that brown sauce is so damn delicious!» And that’s a pretty accurate description. My husband always gets the coconut chicken soup(lava-hot temperature wise, and yummy), and either the Chicken Royal or Chicken Thai Spicy. I’ve had the pad Thai and pad se ew and they’re both very tasty and hearty. However, what I LOVE is their chicken spring rolls(so good! I could eat both rolls that come per order) and the Spicy Green Beans with chicken. You get unlimited rice, which I definitely want to soak up all that«damn delicious» brown sauce. You can’t beat the low prices either for such a yummy filling meal, hence why we have been repeat customers for years.
