The Locker Room is one of the best kept secrets in Cincinnati. Just a short walk from both Paul Brown Stadium and The Great American Ball Park lies this gem of a neighborhood bar. The décor stays true to the name. Lots of homage to a locker room feel with plenty of local sports memorabilia. Add on top of that a few flat screens set on ESPN and energetic party music playing in the background. The Locker Room offers a full bar and has great game day specials. We just attended a Reds game and the deal was $ 10 buckets for 5 domestic beers. The bathrooms are small and only accommodate one guest at a time. The bartender was friendly and the place was clean and felt comfortable. The seating area itself is a little narrow but is probably about thirty feet long and can accommodate dozens and dozens of people. And on a hot summer day the A/C was absolutely blasting. We were chilly by the time we left. There is also a small patio area in the front of the bar. I didn’t bother to count but I would say four of five decent-sized tables that would each seat three to four people. What a great way to enjoy the sunshine and take in our beautiful downtown area! The downside is that their hours center around Bengals and Reds games so they aren’t open all of the time. Another thing I noticed was that they likely don’t serve food. They may offer snacks and chips and probably offer tailgating food during Bengals games, though. I highly recommend checking out this place if you want to escape the heat for a bit, have a few affordable beverages and meet up with friends before the big game. Stepping into the Lockerroom was like literally stepping back into your high school days. It reminded me of the locker rooms you used to hoot and holler in. Quaint and small, but well decorated and even has 3 – 4 flat screen TV’s. It wasn’t crowded and was literally right across from the stadium… I guess everyone was too busy tailgating? Not being from Cincinnati, I appreciated a bar where my friends(who were in Ravens gear) didn’t get tormented by the Bengals fans. I mean, they got enough from me as it was :) This place also serves up some piping hot delicious sausages and franks to satisfy your tailgating craving. Definitely a nice place to get out the rain, grab a beer and sausage with beer cheese(which were relatively inexpensive — $ 5) and kick back before heading over to the stadium. Just a side note to all your families out there: There is no age requirement at this place and you can bring your children before the game, for some of that high quality H20!
