Coffee at Lola’s is one of the finest third wave coffee shops around this area. The employees are very pleasant and the selection of coffee, wine, and beer are just about everything you could ask for. The atmosphere is so relaxing, very cool hang out spot. The mighty sabsquigs is a house special that I highly suggest.

Great location, OK coffee. This is a great spot for a downtown coffee break or meeting. Unfortunately, the coffee is only OK. Definitely not a third wave premium shop that you see popping up more and more. If you are just looking for caffeine, I’d definitely recommend, but if you are looking for a really great cup of coffee, I’d look elsewhere.

Wow. Wasn’t expecting this. Downtown for a meeting and looked at Unilocal to see what was close. Checked out Lola’s. Great vibe and really good coffee. Hidden gem. Don’t let this place get away. Convenient to The Banks/ballparks. Staff was fantastic. Uses a local roaster — Pneuma. Guys like this need us. It can’t all be the Jolly Green Giant(Sbux). Check them out.

Update: Still giving a 5-star review, although Lola’s is now under new ownership(as of a month ago, I believe). They have since acquired their alcohol license, so they’ve extended their hours and now serve beer and wine into the evening. However: Brandon, if you happen to be reading this, your presence is missed by the neighborhood. Thank you for this coffee shop!

Just stopped in for a few iced coffees, but they were really good! A nice coffee shop along a busy road. Looked like a decent place to be later in the day for other snacks and meals.

Sweet coffee shop located downtown and an easy walk from The Freedom Center. Jori did an amazing job of correctly foaming a coconut milk cappuccino(coconut milk is a tricky foamer and Jori is only the second barista I’ve found that could do it). My sister requested an almond milk latte with cinnamon and smidge of honey. Jori asked if she would like the cinnamon on top or blended into the latte. Yahoo! A barista that understands. The shop is clean, light and has a variety of tables and booths. Definitely will come back when I am in the area.

I try to go local when I can, and this place was a great choice for an early morning networking meeting. The vibe is cute, quaint, with daily newspapers available, quiet music playing, and comfy chairs hidden in corners. When I went to order the barista was very nice and efficient. My beverage was absolutely great. Having been a barista myself, I can definitely taste the quality in the drink, and they steamed the milk perfectly! It held foam all the way through my meeting! Seriously that never happens. Well done Lola’s! I’ll definitely be back.

This is everything you would look for in a downtown espresso bar. The barista Brandon is one of the most knowledgeable, friendly and talented baristas I have encountered. If you ask questions, he talks you through the options in a way that educates you but doesn’t make you feel dumb. I’d learn a lot about espresso drinks if I came here consistently. Ask him for a recommendation based on what you are looking for and he will not disappoint. The setting is quiet, warm and inviting. It is the type of place that you would want to read a book, find a corner to work in, or hang out with a small group of friends. There are four quiet, comfortable booths in the back, three tables in the front and a small seating area of three soft chairs by the front window. The menu has ample variety at reasonable prices. He served my drink in a small glass, and it felt like when we ordered coffee at the espresso bars in Europe.

Brandon is great! Very knowledgable, and makes the best coffee and tea drinks in the city! Make sure to check out the boozy coffee menu.

The coffee is delicious but the atmosphere and conversation is my favorite! Brandon welcomes you and makes you feel like you are having a coffee in his home. Have done the coffee in the morning and a glass of wine(or two) in the evening-both are fantastic experiences! Highly recommend!

We were in need of caffeine and wanted to try this place out. The atmosphere is very cozy and the menu offered a decent selection. Brandon was a fabulous barista. He made a great Mayan Mocha and was a great conversationalist too! He gave us some background information on the owners, as well as some interesting tidbits of the names of their coffee drinks. This cute coffee shop has a liquor license and offers beer and wine as well, if the mood suits you. If you haven’t stopped in yet, you should check this place out.

Great service and coffee. The Mayan Mocha is awesome; you may want to order a second after you slam the first. I also recommend the smoothies(I had a mixed berry). The cleverly named drinks JFK, Lincoln, and Jackson are based on the number of «shots» of espresso equivalent to the shots each president received. Ha! Don’t forget that this is also a bar! They’ve got great beers and wine for those needing something less stimulating. The friendly server we had, Brandon, really knew is stuff and made an excellent cup of coffee. He helped make our first visit a great one. Kudos to him. Parking is available on street at a few meters as well as adjacent lots. It is easy to settle down and forget your meter, so I recommend downloading the app to easily reload your meter to prevent a nasty ticket.

Great & Cozy Coffee Shop! Had been wanting to check it out for months and finally… Much needed warm beverage for the 1st real snow day of the year ! Went in w/hubby last night to try some: 1) Hot Chocolate — very good; also so many options for milk and flavor add-ins to choose from. I went w/almond milk hot choc w/whip(duh!) 2) Hot decaf tea — delicious Red Tea Latte! We asked about decaf tea options(NY rez anyone.?) and the friendly barista recommended Red Tea. I think I’ll be hooked on it for a while. It tasted perfectly earth, just a hint of sweet & lusciously creamy. The place is beautiful. Such balanced décor, cozy with an eclectic vibe. Although we did takeout, seems like a good place for both studying or socializing since they have wine & beer to offer. Brandon(barista) was very knowledgeable & exerts true passion for offering customers a quality product & experience. Loved it!

Lola’s is easy to miss, but it’s 100% worth the visit! It’s located on 3rd Street in the old Locker Room space below the Blind Pig /O’Malley’s Annex. They did a great job creating a cozy, coffee shop atmosphere with a lot of seating options. The barista was super nice and took care in making our drinks. Their menu offers all of the best coffee and espresso drinks. AND it looks like they have wine and beer as well.(Not something I took advantage of at 10:00 on a Sunday, but that’s not to say I never would…) The prices weren’t crazy either. We just hung out and read while sipping our coffee, and I can attest to it being a comfortable place to just hang out and relax.

Lola’s is a cute little coffee & wine shop named after the owner’s former dog. Service was really friendly, and the almond bear claw in the glass case was calling my name. Great spot for a meeting or just to relax by yourself. And when a glazed sweet pastry calls out to you from behind the glass, you know what to do.

Love the cozy/hip atmosphere with all types of seating arrangements you can think of: bar stools, outdoor seating, few round tables inside and few diner type seating deeper inside. The owner — Peter — is a super cool friendly guy whose dog Noodles roams the café and welcomes everyone in(suuuuper friendly!). The drinks selection is enermous! Lots of specialties can be made on the spot and not everything fits on the menu so ask away for whatever you feel like drinking. Includes caffeinated drinks as well as a great wine and hard liquor selection. Opened just a couple of months ago but is already creating a positive buzz! Love it!

Finally~ A coffee shop downtown that is within walking distance that isn’t starbucks AND has an awesome baristo! We almost missed the opportunity to visit this place because our first attempt they were closed. Brandon mentioned that on holidays they may have special hours. In retrospect I’m really glad we didn’t let that sway us from trying again this time. We called in just to check if they were open. *A little back story — I saw this place had a «COMINGSOON» sign from a little while ago when we first moved downtown. Every time we went to the starbucks nearby I always walked away wondering… When will we be able to try Lola’s… That time was today! I got pumpkin latte(seasonal…so I had to) and he got the banana breve. The highlight… the banana breve! Not overly sweet. The banana flavor was perfect with the coffee and gave a somewhat nutty flavor. simply delicious. Our baristo, Brandon, informed us how the had only been open for seven weeks now. I have the highest hopes that they hang around for awhile. There’s not a ton of foot traffic in this area(especially on the weekends) so I wasn’t surprised to find so many seats available but I was so surprised at how cozy the place felt. This small coffee shop might become our favorite detour route home :). Got our cups to go but the space is cozy enough that it made me want to linger a little bit longer. Pleasant baristo /great location /awesome coffee… this place has my double thumbs up for coffee from me! Oh! and try banana breve!

This is one of those places that I hope stays in business forever. I work downtown, and I often go without coffee because, quite frankly, I don’t have time for the sass from the Starbucks baristas. Welp, now I don’t have to skip the caffeine. Brandon at Lola’s is FANTASTIC. He’s so sweet and attentive. It helps that they truly view their coffee as their craft. They take the time to make every cup individually, and usually, there’s only one person behind the counter handling all the orders. The owner got sentimental when we asked about the name of the shop, mentioning it was after a previous dog he’d owned. HOOKED. I’ve also heard of the mythical resident dog named Noodles that jumps into laps and steals hearts. I have yet to be lucky enough to meet him, but it’s a personal goal. The names of their drinks are a riot, too. The Lincoln is my usual, iced.(Coffee with one shot.) It’s all these little touches and more that make Coffee at Lola’s a great place to grab a cup, and start a conversation.

I was customer #20 when they first opened last week and they are so good I came back! I got their house drip(Groovy Day blend) today and it was very good — mild with a nice roasty-nutty flavor. Last week I tried their iced coffee which I think tastes more like a caramel-y cold brew which I absolutely LOVE! I tried both black and they were great and I’m usually a one cream, one sugar type of gal. The two guys working there are great too! They remembered me when I walked in which is always nice, and they are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their offerings. They have some pretty clever item names on their menu too — see if you get it! The atmosphere is solid too. They have both café tables and booths. It would be a nice place to power through some work.
