Excellent service from Eric! The special was 14oz bone in ribeye which was on point. The bread and onion soups are a must, you won’t regret either. The atmosphere is cozy and all of the sides were good. I will definitely be back!

The service was really great. We were given the plate of pickles and amazing warm bread to start. I got the French onion soup and it is not to be missed, so amazing. They have a good wine list as well, although we forgone the alcohol to save money because we wanted to be thrifty and spend it on the food. I ordered the chicken pomodoro, and while it was good, it could have gone with less tomatoes. There was just so much tomato in it. He got the chicken parmesean and absolutely loved it. Overall a good experience, a little bit pricey but we enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere is very 1950s. Loved it.

Love this place — drinks and wait staff are awesome. Apps are awesome — pickles at the table are always great. Every waiter/waitress has been very upbeat and do their jobs well. Fun to have a drink at the bar upstairs.

Maury’s is one of my favorite restaurants. It’s always welcoming and staff is so friendly. 10÷9÷15 my rehearsal dinner was held at Mary’s. I could not have asked for a better venue. It staff was friendly and service was great-they were attentive and gracious. The appetizers, steaks, and drinks were outstanding. I will be back to Maury’s every chance I get.

If you like old places that haven’t bothered to update in 30 or more years, this is your place. I’ve always heard about Maury’s, finally went due to being in the area. Tacky is the best descriptor I can think of. 2 space heaters in the room where I dined, ugly dropped ceiling painted blood red, a bowl of sliced dill pickles upon being seated. My companion couldn’t order the baked fish sandwich he wanted b/c the oven was broken. The chicken on my grilled chicken salad was dry and tough. However, another person in my party enjoyed the Reuben sandwich she ordered. I will not be going back.

Maury’s has lost its flare. I had heard this was a great place nestled in the heart of Cheviot but when I went to experience it myself it was quite a let down. The food was sub par at best. One of my guests had to send his steak back and the manager admitted it was a «bad cut of beef»(whatever that means). No one finished their meals and the service was amateur hour. A server from another section attempted to crawl under our table to plug in a light. It was a very weird dining experience.

This is always a fun place to go when I’m back on the West Side. The food and service are both great and always consistent. Not to mention their prices are incredibly fair given the quality of food you are getting. My sister and I always order the delicious bowl of French Onion soup. It’s one of those things you just have to get there if you’re a fan of onions and melting cheese and soup… Just get it. I ordered The Bobcat which is a 5oz filet with a baked sweet potato on the side(my second side was the soup, but with a $ 2 up-charge). Basically this entire meal was under $ 25. Try going anywhere to get a filet alone for under that price. Granted, it was only 5oz, but that was enough for me after you included the two sides. Did I mention they also give each person a freshly baked roll as well? They are just divine and fluffy, and I’m really glad they only bring you one… They also bring out a plate of sliced dill pickles, which is standard. I love this and I love the authenticity at this place. There is nothing pretentious at this place at all. They’ve been around for awhile and know how to serve their customers. My only remark would be that I ordered my steak medium rare and it was definitely more on the heavy medium side. This wasn’t a killer for me, though. If you’re ever on the Westside and want a nice meal, come here! They are consistent with their food, they have a fun atmosphere, their service is great, and their prices are unbeatable!

I had not been to Maury’s for several years, but I returned last night for dinner. Tuesday’s features a special on bbq – pulled pork or ribs – and I went for the full slab of ribs. I highly recommend the ribs to all of you… I finished the entire slab which is something I never do. Maury’s still serves pickles and the fresh buns served in a cup. It’s like stepping back in time a bit, but everything works to give you a good dining experience. I appreciated the attentive server — she made sure we had everything we needed and was quite prompt all evening long with bringing refills. I wont be waiting this long before returning to Maury’s. If you have been away like me for a bit, give them a return trip.

I have been dining here for years and have always had excellent food and service. I recommend the salmon, the ravioli, the pickles and everything else !

Maury’s is the type of place you go to feel at home. We go for trivia every Wednesday and the monthly beer tastings. If something isn’t right they fix it without question. You can’t beat the Happy Hour values or the great weekly specials created by the owner.

Came here to celebrate an anniversary with my husband on a Saturday night, as it had been recommended by some older west-siders. I had the Little Bengal, which I ordered medium rare. I was a bit sad when it came out brown, thinking she misheard me to say medium well. When I cut into it, it was soft and red in the middle– delicious! Also had garlic mushrooms and spinach noodles on the side. My husband ordered the Bearcat(8oz filet) medium– and it came out just to his specification. There was very little crowd, and we were immediately seated. There were plenty of tables and a large bar in the room. We were told there was additional seating upstairs, as well. The décor was dated, but in a pleasant way– like stepping back in time. The only negative about the ambiance of the room was that the vinyl on my booth seat had a large hole & ripped my hose. I didn’t realize Maury’s Tiny Cove really is tiny. I’m 5’11, and wearing heels with Texas hair had me rubbing the roof on the way to the bathroom. :) Although I was very happy after the meal, I find myself a bit disappointed after reading the reviews, because we did not receive any pickles or bread– both of which I love. Guess I’ll have to go back and investigate that on another trip!

Maury’s is an unexpected spot for good steak, right in the heart of Cheviot. Its 68 year long history and even older patrons are a testament to steak done right. As a friend was telling me, the difference between Maury’s and a place like Longhorn’s is the time spent marinating the steaks — at Maury’s, they marinate for a substantially longer time, so that the flavor permeates through the meat instead of just coating the surface. Things everyone gets when they settle in: large pickle slices and a warm, puffy roll served in a ramekin. As far as entrees, I always go for the 10 oz prime rib(Little Bengal), along with mashed potatoes and Caesar salad. Sometimes I get the french onion soup. Everything hits the spot and is as I expect it to be; nothing is necessarily«the best I’ve ever tasted», but it’s damn near the best in Cincinnati for the value. Definitely blows all the chain steakhouses out of the water. Another plus is the awesome service. There is one waitress in particular who has been working there for decades, and she embodies customer service with her friendliness, attentiveness, and willingness to accomodate special requests. I usually have a problem tipping more than 15%(Asian instinct), but with her the service was so excellent that I felt compelled to go above and beyond. I’m not a regular at many restaurants, but Maury’s has me coming back consistently.

Not a bad place. Triva with beer specials and half-priced apps on Wed and Thurs are a great little mid-week break. Their burgers are better than fast food places and are $ 6 with fries on Mondays. Only bad thing I can say about the place is the lack of parking and if you’re over 6 feet tall then you have to walk all hunched over downstairs.

Excellent. Above and beyond. The food is outstanding! Their steaks are cooked to perfection anyway you like, and, my goodness, the rolls are lighter than air. Somehow they can make their rolls fluffy and light, but get them to be bigger than the size of a grown man’s fist! The deserts are amazing as well. The atmosphere is great. Dim lighting, sometimes live music but always have a variety on a radio, two bars, and nice seats. Very enjoyable experiences.

I’ve always wanted to try this west side steakhouse. Upon being seated, we were given a small ramekin of pickles. Unusual, but tasty. The server came by and took our drinks and asked if we wanted any bread. Honestly, the bread was the tastiest part of the meal. It was a big yeast roll baked inside a cup. It was amazing. I got the«Little Bengal», a 10oz cut of prime rib. I requested it be bright pink throughout, and the server told us that would be medium. I was so disappointed when it came out completely brown and medium well at best. It was very overdone and hard to even cut with my steak knife. It was highly disappointing. My boyfriend got some chicken dish with basil and sundried tomatoes and he didn’t even finish his chicken because he said it was so over done. And this guy can eat, too, so for him not to even eat half his chicken, it was bad. My side salad was okay but drenched in dressing. The bf got French onion soup and said it was awesome and the best part of his meal. Overall, there were a couple high points to the meal but having two entrees be SO over cooked was just a huge disappointment.

This place is older than me but I go almost every time I visit Cinci as my grandparents still love going here. Always get The Musketeer as I’m an XU grad. It’s decent food at a decent price… but for West-enders…this place is basically the fanciest place many of them will ever go to. I find that awesome. Interior is low-light, there’s literally an area with 6 ft ceilings and I don’t think I’ve seen the entire expanse of the restaurant yet… but the staff is down-home friendly, the food is good to go and they have these warm breadroll offerings that are too damn good. This is the kind of place you never hear about unless you are local and you know the history of the area. Lots of history to this place, makes it well worth a trip. You can’t go wrong with here.

Acceptable for the price. Great bar and a very good traditional Tom Collins. In general the food was bland. We have the French onion soup, steak, and the fish sandwhich. French onion soup was bland until the bottom. Steak and fish were cooked correctly. The fish was just a slab of unseasoned fried fish on two pieces of rye. No toasted bread or sauce. The tartar sauce was thick and acceptable. The skinny seasoned fried didn’t taste like seasoning. The beef carpaccio was the best piece of the bunch.

«Set the Wayback Machine to 1949, Mr. Peabody!» Maury’s isn’t an approximation of what a fine steakhouse was like when our parents were young. It’s the real thing, with dark paneling, red leather, low ceilings, all remarkably well preserved with a menu that has also both withstood and thoroughly resisted the rigors of time. Coffee rub for your steak? Not here. Charred exterior under super high heat? Nope. Some truffle butter on the side? What the hell are truffles? Here you get simple but well prepared food, friendly service, and west side sensibility that delivers an incredible value. You’ll pay about half for your meal what an a la carte steak will set you back at the fancy places. I’d like to see some higher end wine choices and perhaps a more adventurous steak option or two, but that would hurt the retro appeal. The Pine Club in Dayton is probably the closest cousin I’ve seen, but Maury’s remains an original after all this time.

Maury, where have you been all my life? This place oozes old school charm. From the shiny leather seats, the low ceiling on the first floor, and a bathroom with freezer doors, I can’t wait to come back and«experience» more of this labyrinthine restaurant. Our large group(13 Unilocalers strong) ate in the second floor area by the bar. We didn’t have reservations, but fortunately we were able to move the tables around and create one large table. Stacy, our server, was awesome and took care of everyone’s orders and kept the drinks full. From the complimentary pickles and«light as a feather puffy» bread to the extensive menu, you will definitely find something to fill your belly. I had the BBQ Chicken($ 14.95). Two pieces of juicy chicken with a decent flavored sauce. I also had a pear salad that was great. My side was a yummy baked sweet potato. The French Onion Soup is a must order. I think their crew shirts say it best, «Friends don’t let friends eat at chain restaurants.» Drink specials: Mon…$ 1.50 Drafts Tue…$ 3.00 Long Islands(WOW!!!) Wed…$ 3.00 Margaritas Thu…$ 2.00 Domestic Bottled Beer Fri…$ 8.00 Beer Buckets Coupons?! Check out their site here and print them off! $ 3 or $ 5 off. Their party rooms can be reserved for free and have room for up to 60 people. The entire second floor can also be reserved.
