The all meat pizza was delicious! My boyfriend had cheese and pepper pizza and he loved it. I will only give the place three stars because of the service. Our waitress is nice and friendly but she had so many tables to serve that night. When we went there it was packed but only two waitresses were working. We had to wait for quite a while to get our order, and pay for our bill. However pizza is good. I hope they can add more servers.

Good luck getting served. We sat there for 20 minutes and even went to the counter. Still nothing. We left.

The pizza isn’t great. The garlic bread is way over priced. The beers are standard. The crowd can become super-undergrad at times. HOWEVER, the bartenders and managers make it an almost default stop time and again if just for one or two. They have this wonderful pull up a stool and relax vibe. You can sit inside or outside. It’s an excellent neighborhood bar. Will continue to make it a regular stop going forward for the excellent staff.

I walked in and it had a fun bar atmosphere. We went on Monday which was .35 wing night after 6. We were early so we had a side salad and spinach cheesy bread. The tomato fat free vinaigrette was good. The spinach cheese bread was soft. I tough the spinach would be more noticeable but there was a little sprinkled on the bread. We ordered 20 wings. The my favorite sauce was the buffalo sauce. It had a light heat flavor. The best part if our meal was the long island ice teas. Tasty!

Mio’s is a solid pizza place near campus. Their food isn’t spectacular but it is good. The service is fine(mostly students) and they are accommodating to large groups. The beer selection on tap is decent for the area but their happy hour deals are great. the regular beer prices aren’t too high though. All around, Mio’s is a good choice if you’re looking for pizza or wings, but they don’t offer much else.

I ordered and got my food delivered. Delivery was average 35ish minutes and delivery person was nice. When we called it was the manager and she was really sweet and gave us a discount because it was our first time eating there. She explained some of the prices on the menu since the online menu was somewhat incorrect. We ordered a large pizza, a chicken hoagie(that came with a pickle and chips) and a French onion soup. This was for three people. We were still hungry after eating all that! The hoagie we ordered was the large and it was real small so I wonder what the small looked like? The pizza was also very small! The soup was a good size. The taste of the hoagie, the pizza, and the soup was great though!

Had the chicken fajita calzone and loved it. Fried pickles were great. Sat at the bar and met Lauren who was on point with her beer suggestions. The stuffed pizza looks amazing, just haven’t tried it yet. I also noticed that the coworkers seem to get along nicely, which creates a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

I’ve been to the Clifton Mio’s several times now and each time the pizza has been great. I decided I wanted to switch it up and try something new, so I went with take out of the Baked Penne Pasta which comes with Penne noodles, served with meat or marinara sauce, topped with melted mozzarella cheese and baked fresh in the oven. Baked Penne is one of my favorite meals, so I was extremely excited to give this a try. The meat sauce was great but there was one major issue with the meal. it was missing the cheese(the best part) which was a huge disappointment!!! Nothing baked about this meal. I don’t live super closer so I couldn’t walk back and get it fixed. Lesson learned. next time I will just stick with the pizza.

Probably my favorite pizza place in Clifton. I’ve been eating here less frequently, but I went through a phase where I was getting a large pepperoni pizza with sesame crust pretty much ever Monday. Through that, I learned a few things about this Mio’s: (Note: Monday’s and Tuesday’s are $ 9.99 large 1 topping pizzas, which is an awesome deal and why I so often get a 1 topping pizza on Monday. With sesame crust and getting it for carry-out, the total is $ 11.74 for a great pizza that will feed 3 people. Seriously, killer deal!) 1) The quality of the employees varies pretty drastically. I mostly get a single large pepperoni pizza for pickup, but I eat in every once in awhile. Sometimes you get a server with a hangover who complains to you about how miserable he feels, and then proceeds to take FOREVER to get your water or your check. That sucks. Sometimes, you get a great server who is very attentive and will be extra accommodating, like doing half-and-half of two very different specialty pizzas. That’s great. Carry-out is the same. I once had someone hand me my pizza, and thankfully I looked at it and noticed it didn’t have sesame crust(btw: the sesame crust is a MUST – so good). I pointed it out and the person at the register then proceeded to scold the guy making pizzas for forgetting, and they argued a bit about whether he forgot or not. That’s when they realized my pizza wasn’t finished, it was still in the oven, and the pizza I had been handed was an old pepperoni pizza that someone never picked up or something. So thankfully that was avoided, and my actual pizza was wonderful. Seriously though, some of the employees are really great, and the food is general great, just don’t expect 5 star service all the time. 2) The same pizza will vary slightly depending who makes it. Like I said, I had a phase of getting a large pepperoni with sesame crust every Monday. I came to enjoy the variation. Sometimes the crust would be a bit crispier, sometimes it would be less crispy. Sometimes you get tons of sesame, sometimes a bit less. I’ve rarely had a less-than-great pizza from Mio’s, and the variation helps you realize this is not Dominos. 3) DEALS! Mio’s has great coupons. They also have great non-coupon discounts($ 9.99 large one topping on Monday and Tuesday). They also have $ 10.99 large one toppings whenever there is a concert at Bogart’s across the street. Bogart’s has a lot of concerts, therefore lot’s of pizza discounts! Sometimes it’s worth paying almost double for a specialty pizza, because their specialty pizzas are great. But, if you’re looking for pizza on a budget, Mio’s is by far the best pizza you can get for that price. However, like #1 above, the employees are not all created equal. On Monday and Tuesday, you shouldn’t ever have trouble getting the $ 9.99 price(it’s printed on their box, so there’s no refuting that). However, I have had to remind the person on the phone that there’s a discounted price. If you think you are supposed to get it for $ 9.99 and your total is $ 17, ask about the discount, they probably forgot what day it is. The Bogart’s concert special is less consistent. You’ll definitely get it if you dine-in, but I’ve had mixed results getting it to-go. Sometimes the person will tell you it’s only for dine-in, or only during set hours(like after 7pm, what?), but sometimes they’ll let you get carry-out, anytime of day(or at least evening. Once people are lining up for a concert, you should be good-to-go for the special). I recommend calling to place an order and asking about their specials for the day. If they don’t have a special or you can’t do carry-out, then either don’t place an order or just get a specialty pizza that doesn’t ever get discounted. This Mio’s has enough deals going on that you shouldn’t ever pay menu price for a one topping large pizza. If you’re paying menu price, get a specialty or chicago-style pizza, both of which are awesome. By the way, their daily happy hour specials are also great. Seriously, this Mio’s has great pizza and lots of awesome deals to attract the college crowd. I eat here a lot. I’ll continue to eat here a lot. Get the sesame crust on any pizza.

A few friends and I visited this restaurant over the weekend. Unfortunately we were treated with disrespect from the moment we walked in the door. Our server was rude and accused us of having fake IDs. She claimed she was an expert of fakes. I would hate to see how many fakes they have passed if they can’t spot a real one. All of us were of age, so we asked for management to clear things up. She arrived at our table on the defense, immediately she was loud making a scene, only to tell us she didn’t care what we had to say and didn’t have to listen to our complaint. She treated us as criminals in front of a room full of strangers despite our multiple forms of ID. I have never felt discriminated against! Regardless of not being served, no one ever offered to take food order either. I am blown away by how the staff here speak to customers and handled the situation. If you look young or have an out of state ID don’t bother dinning here. They will humiliate you without warning or an excuse!

Alright so this place is becoming one of the after school spots to grab a bite to eat and a beer or two, mainly because it’s down the street from my friend’s place but also because it’s just a chill spot. The calzone’s are pretty awesome, with a soft buttery crust that pull apart easily. Also had the pizza and can’t really think of what it compares to from pizza back in Cali, but it was pretty good, though the crust was a little soggy and you couldn’t adequately fold the pizza NY style. Still good though. They also have a decent amount of beers on tap, with $ 2 Rolling Rocks and $ 4 craft beers. Also a lot of TVs for sports. Lastly there is a new brewery in town called Flat12 out of Indiana with two beers currently on tap here at Mio’s: the Walkabout Pale Ale and a porter(I think Pogue’s Run). Im not much of a porter guy but it did have a good coffee aftertaste, as for the Walkabout though, really good beer with a much more subtle use of hops for those that find IPA’s too strong. Best of all Flat12’s local rep. was there and bought me a round and told me a little about the company. Cool guy, good beer and Mio’s offers up some food to match so check it out.

Alright, I’m going to give Mio’s a 3 star review. And now I’m going to explain my 3 star review. We went a few weeks ago but I forgot to check in and review the place. We were headed to a show at Bogart’s and saw they had a large pizza for $ 10 and $ 2 High-Lifes. We went, ordered the High-Lifes, a giant pizza for $ 10(had leftovers) and split a small salad. Everything was great including the service. Had I reviewed the place right after this experience I would have given it a solid 4 stars,(not 5 because the pizza wasn’t life changing, just really solid especially for $ 10). So moving on… We went to another show last night at Bogart’s and so I looked up if they were having any specials. Low and behold they have 39 cent wings on Mondays! I figured that paired with the $ 2 High-Lifes again and we’re golden. So we go and sit down and order our High-Life’s…unfortunately the server,(who was nice), told us they were out. So we asked if they had any other good deals on beer. Apparently the next best bet is a $ 3PBR. Not too big of a deal but I would assume they could make the PBR’s $ 2 since they were out of High-Life’s(but hey I’m cheap… err…thrifty). Anyways, we ordered the small salad to split, I ordered the hot wings and my girlfriend ordered a «Supreme» hoagie. The salad came out quickly and we dug in. Unfortunately my girlfriend found two hairs in the salad and couldn’t eat it,(I hate complaining and so I just disregarded the salad and moved on). Next the wings came out and there was no sauce on them. They are literally just fried chicken and come with sauce on the side. You would think this would be noted somewhere and had I known I would have just ordered a pie. My girlfriends«Supreme» hoagie was also just OK,(it was supposed to come with pizza sauce and had barely any on it, which she mentioned to our server and he offered to bring out more). Overall this time was quite disappointing which was unfortunate considering we were excited to have a go-to place before shows. I would rate this experience 2 stars which is how I came to my middle of the road 3 star review. I would probably give it another chance but would just stick to the pizza, which again was quite good the first time. Also I hope they remember to sufficiently stock their $ 2 beer option… especially considering they are in a college town.

I order a pizza at 9:05pm 1 large SBTO pizza and was told the pizza would take between 30 – 45 minutes. 10pm I called to check on the status of my pizza and when I was called I received no apology. I was told that they got busy and only had one driver so this happens. He said wait 15 or 20 more minutes ! Why would I want a 30−45min pizza that took 120 mins to get there. From the mans tone of voice he clearly didn’t not care and seemed bothered by the fact I’d even called. My pizza showed up about 10 mins later and it wasn’t hot it was warm. It was definitely not worth $ 25 and I will no longer order this pizza and I also will be pulling the Mio’s menu from my bar menu book and no longer give a recommendation to my bar patrons.

They deliver beer. This is one thing that makes America great. Sure, I may have paid a little more than I would normally for a six pack of Bud Light BUT it was delivered to my hotel room. After driving a combined five hours with over three hours in partial whiteout conditions and arriving in town near dark I wanted a drink with dinner but didn’t want to try to find my way around an unfamiliar area. After a quick search I found their site, completed the order on-line and had my drinks within an hour. It allowed me time to find and order food and get unpacked. I didn’t try the food but would consider it again the next time I am in the area. And in case you were wondering, yes, the beer was cold.

Enjoyed this place. Loved the story of the owners. Décor is very comfortable and modern. Food was great. Music was perfect. They even theme the music to some of the bands playing at bogarts which is just a great touch. hard to say anything bad about it. It’s a breath of fresh air in cincy. not really a family friendly restaurant(at least this location). I will say the only reason I don’t visit more is because the two waitresses I’ve had we’re horrible. They didn’t know the menu. I waited 10 – 15 minutes for a refill and the place is tiny! How do you not come into contact with the customers for that long.

I had dinner here with a friend recently, just before going to a show at Bogart’s(which is right across the street — great location). The food/service was good and fast. We started with an app of fried pickles. They were good, but a little small. The dipping sauce that came with them was tasty. We both got sandwiches. I had the italian and it was excellent — piping hot so the cheese was melted, even a little crunchy, and super juicy/oily, which is the way I like ‘em. The sandwiches come in two sizes and have chips on the side. You can upgrade to fries for a little extra, like $ 1.25 or so. Beers were still on Happy Hour pricing(this was around 7pm or so), so we each had two. I had Great Lakes’ Nosferatu and they were just $ 3.50 — not too shabby. Our waitress was almost certainly a UC student, and very pleasant. The place was fairly busy, but not crazy, and she took good care of us. When we went in after the show — about 11pm — the joint was jumpin’. They had the Thursday night football game on two screens, too. I’ll be back.
