Personalities by Leona

My whole entire family goes to Personalities by Leona. They do amazing work. Leona and Tab are kick ass stylists they can do any hair cut you want. They are definitely more then five stars. I recommend this salon to everybody.

Some use critical Unilocal reviews as an opportunity to better their business, or win back a potential customer by reaching out to them. Leona did in fact reach out to me via Unilocal message — But rather than attempt to make anything better, she just furthered her absolute lack of professionalism. See photos.

If I could give 0 I would. She’s always booked til the next day. When you do go she will focus on anything but your hair. For twenty bucks? I’ll try cutting my own hair…

I really liked going to this salon. She is really aware of the hair type and encourages you to not straighten or blow dry too much, so she really cares about your hair and is not one of the salons that wants to mint money from you. Also my hair cut was good, I won’t say the best hair cut I have had but a decent one. In all a good experience.

I decided to give Personalities by Leona a try since I live about a block away. I ended up with her daughter, Tabatha. I went for a haircut, color and eyebrow wax. She was very nice and really outgoing. Which I prefer with I am getting my hair done. It seems to make the whole process quicker that way. I was very pleased with how my hair turned out and the price. The only reason I did not give a five star is due to how long it took. It was the longest I have ever been at a salon. Other then that, it was great and I will be back.

Personalities by Leona is definitely not your typical salon. It is run by a mom and daughter combo. Every time I’ve gotten my hair cut here, I’ve requested Tabitha (the daughter), because she does a good job. I’m sure Leona does too, as I’ve recommended a few friends go here and they have had Leona do their hair with positive reviews.
I lived in the Gaslight Area for awhile and walking to Personalities by Leona was convenient for me. The price is also right; much cheaper than most salons. Tabitha always gave me lots of little hair product samples to try, as well.
I only have a few gripes with the place: my haircuts always seemed to take way too long. I like to get in an out of salons as quick as possible, but for some reason I was always in this salon for over an hour (just getting my hair trimmed, not styled or anything like that). The place is also pretty outdated, which makes it seem dirty. I don’t think it’s actually dirty.
I must also note that I am not high maintenance about my hair nor am I picky about my hair, especially because it’s long with simple layers. It’s pretty hard to mess up, style-​wise. I can’t comment on the dyeing, tanning and waxing aspects of Leona’s, because I’ve never utilized those services there. I’m not sure I would go to Leona’s if I wanted to, say, transition from my long hair to a pixie cut. That’s risky business in and of itself, so I’d probably go to a more renowned salon for something like that.

Without a doubt one of the best gems in the city! Leona is amazing and her salon is just right, like her its full of character. I would like to put it out there that I Would Like to Be Anonymous S.“s review is full of lies and wrongfull accusations and this site should be used for real reviews. First she claims food poisoning from one place and now saying that where I get my hair cut is «dirty» TOTAL BS! If you want a very nice, affordable and clean haircut… go see Leona or her daughter Tabatha or take the lying words of advice form someone who wishes to remain anonymous. If they thought it was bad the first time, why go back? Did they go back and try the «FOOD POISONING» restaurant?

Leona is fantastic, and her prices are incredible for the quality of service. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for a haircut. Leona is slightly crazy, but a perfectly wonderful kind of crazy. I started going there because I lived down the street. Now I live in Wyoming and continue to go because it is well worth the trip to Clifton.

This is a good place to get a decent haircut for not much money, right in the middle of gaslight Clifton.
