I really wish I could give Mt Auburn PP a lower rating… really. The first few times I went there everything was fine. But there have been some personnel changes, and I honestly question their competence. I was told at my first visit that the pharmacist is only in on Mondays between 12 and 1. This turned out not to be true. I learned of their actual pharmacist hours on a day that, wouldn’t you know it, everyone who works there and is able to dispense medications was at a conference! There was nothing on the website to indicate that they would be understaffed that day… and I only found this out after waiting in the downstairs lobby(they wouldn’t let me go upstairs because«everyone was on lunch») for almost a half an hour. Then I was told in an icy tone of voice, «Sorry, you’re gonna ‘hafta’ come back later.» The last time I went(and by that I mean I’ll never go back) I tried to pay by check. I was told over the phone that they accept personal checks. I had just lost my debit card so this seemed like a great alternative. Their check machine was down! I understand that things happen, but at least make an effort to help me. «Can’t you just go to your bank?» NO, lady, I’m on my lunch break! When the girl refused to let me keep my prescription(my check was issued by the same bank as the debit card I have used there repeatedly) I asked to see the manager. This manager said, and I quote, «If you wanna hang out for a while I’ll see if I can get tech support on the phone.» No apologies, just a snarky facial expression. Ugh! Do NOT ask an irate customer if they«wanna hang out». I am not your buddy! The worst thing about this entire saga is that I support Planned Parenthood’s mission. I will gladly make donations, but this location has permanently lost my business and my respect. These morons couldn’t operate a hotdog stand!

As someone who travels for work, it is next to impossible for me to schedule my well-woman appointments. Enter Planned Parenthood! Not only do they have Saturday appointments, they work with ANYONE’S schedule. Very well organized and very professional. I don’t think I need to go into how great of an organization this is for the health and safety of EVERYONE, not just women.
