I kind of equate this place immediately to Meritage in Glendale for this reason: secluded, nice area of Cincinnati that happens to have a decent gem of a restaurant that no one outside of the area knows, that area being Mariemont. Quarter Bistro has a lot of good things going for it; great menu, awesome location and nice interior. However, the food was only ‘decent’ compared to other places I’d rather go in the city. I really liked the place, and it only had a few issues with service wait times(things picked up and our server was quite good at her job, just a little slow on initial orders and refills, nothing to write home about). Overall, definitely the place to go while in Mariemont, but not particularly a destination location. I’m perfectly fine for a convenience, but nice, dinner here.

Three for dinner last night after a movie at the Mariemont Theatre. First time visiting the Quarter Bistro. Great that you can go from one to the other without walking outside when the weather is bad. Drinks, appetizers and entrees all very good. Initially service was a bit slow no doubt due to multiple parties entering simultaneously as a movie had just ended. Once the waitress got to us it was very good service the remainder of the evening. All in our party thought the food was all very good. Usually I feel most restaurants are to dark and a light from the cellphone is needed to illuminate the menu, just the opposite here, very bright interior. I would even prefer they dial it down just a bit. Nice décor. I would certainly go back.

I have lived in this area for years, but for some reason, we never made it to this little spot, regardless of what it was named. Last night, spur of the moment, we decided to drop in and we are so glad we did! We ate inside, and there were lots of other diners, but not too crowded. It was much nicer inside than I had thought, with a welcoming but comfortable, sophisticated vibe. The other diners seemed to be the sort you would see anywhere in Mariemont. Our server, Justin, was friendly and made some suggestions/recommendations that were spot-on. The gentleman at the door who welcomed us and took us to our table stopped by as well to see if we wanted something other than water to drink, and that was a charming touch. We ordered the mussels as an appetizer. Delicious! Tender, not over-cooked, lovely broth. Crostini could have been a touch more generous to sop up all of that broth, but overall, a very nice dish. I had the glazed Gerber chicken with the Porcini truffle risotto. OMG. This was fabulous! Recommended by Justin, again, and absolutely perfect chicken. Juicy, hot, seasoned just right. The glaze was also very tasty and went with the chicken and the risotto very well. It was a large enough portion that I had leftovers to bring home for lunch today! My son had the special, a NY Strip steak with Haricot Vert(he passed on the potatoes), and it was cooked absolutely perfectly. Strips are not his favorite cut, but this one may have changed his mind. Only slight misstep was that there were to be grilled asparagus also, and they were missing, but we were satisfied and didn’t even mention it to the server. It’s a little pricey, no surprise, but one of the best meals I have had in months. We’ll be back. This would be a nice place for a ladies dinner out, a romantic date, a small group, or a special occasion.

One of my favorite restaurants INTHEWORLD. not just in Cincy. Merriment is like a dream — you feel like you’ve been transported to a different time or city — but the Quarter makes you feel as if you’re in Europe. The food is so great — I expect it to be good — but then it blows me away every time. Its is a bit pricey — so we only eat here on special occasions.

Absolutely great service and food. We only drive to that part of city once in awhile. But it is well worth the effort.

One of my favorite places. They have a nice restaurant, a great bar area, as well as outdoor seating. The outside is lovely with heaters, in case it’s a bit cold. The bar is always happening. They have great, live music. I love their menu and they do change it occasionally. Also, if you want to catch a movie as well, the Mariemont theater is right next-door.

Last night was my first time dining at the Quarter Bistro and I have to admit I was extremely impressed. The service on a busy Saturday night was impeccable, the wine list was spectacular and of course my dinner was superb. I would most definitely dine there again!

I came here for a business dinner and was pleasantly surprised. We started at the bar where I had the Remus cocktail(Bulliet Rye, Amaro, Sweet Vermouth, Orange ’King of the Boot Leggers’) which was absolutely delicious. At our table our party shared the mussels and the guacamole starters. The mussels were well prepared without the slightest bit of grit so often found in this dish. The guacamole was on point, though the chips were nothing special. For my entrée I had the chicken, which was flavorful though I have to say rather dry. However, the porcini mushroom risotto it was served with was heavenly — I wished I could trade the chicken in for more risotto! The atmosphere in the restaurant was modern but a bit visually confused. I’m not sure what they were«going for» with the décor. The noise level was very reasonable considering the size of the space and the crowd. I did like that the tables along the walls had plantings between them to provide a visual divider, so even though they were close together you had some privacy from your neighboring party. The service was attentive but not overbearing. If I find myself in this area again, I would definitely give The Quarter a second visit.

The food, atmosphere, and service was fantastic! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s looking for great fine dining. I had the the steak and frites which was fantastic and the steak was cooked perfectly. I would also recommend starting out with the mussels, they’re definitely a great way to start off a meal and the sauce was delicious.

Another great meal at Quarter Bistro! Lots of delicious options to choose from on their menu. We had a teenager and a senior citizen in our party. Both left happy proving that QB is appealing to people of all ages. Everybody loved their food and enjoyed the smart atmosphere. Special thanks to «Ryan» for first class service! We’ll be back.

The food here was much better than expected. The service was excellent, spot on and very professional. I would have given it a 5 had it not been for the dated décor. But so far, the best I have had in Cincinnati!

I was a little skeptical of this place at first(not sure why). Abby and I had dinner here before seeing a show at the Mariemont Theater, and it was fantastic. It was one of those last nice mild days of October, and we sat outside. The courtyard was very pleasant. The wine and alcohol selection is solid. Service was fast and friendly, but the food was the real star. I had the Jamaican Pork Medallion, and it was delicious. It was perfectly seasoned. All the flavors came together just right. Abby got some kind of pasta dish that doesn’t seem to be on the menu anymore. We liked it so much that after the show we came back for an after dinner drink and dessert. We shared some kind of delicious chocolate dessert and I had an Irish coffee. Perfect end to a great date night. This place is a little pricey, but the ambiance is classy, the service is good, and the food is awesome.

A delightful dining experience. Two of us enjoyed an evening of martinis, mussels, and snapper before heading to a play. The service was excellent, attentive but not overbearing, and each suggestion was absolutely perfect. It was a popular spot, so reservations are a must. Highly recommend.

My husband an I love this place. My dirty martini was awesome, as was the apple and gorgonzola salad. I also had a seafood special which was amazing. My husband loves the short ribs and orders them every time we have dinner here. Everything is prepared well. Stay for dessert. You won’t regret it.

Had a quick dinner here Tuesday night with an early meeting in the morning. They have a burger that it ranked highly in Cincinnati polls, Tough to pass up but I showed some willpower and ordered the Cobb salad. No complaints. The chicken was fresh and moist and the greens and ingredients were balanced nicely. It was lightly dressed in a wine based vinegar. Nice atmosphere and friendly service.

I loved the french onion soup. I did not have an entrée but the soup was great. The wine list was good and the décor was so pretty. I never think to go here for some reason. I should go more because I really liked it. The staff was great and helpful. Our server was very nice and took great care of us without being too much in our faces.

Best scallops we’ve had. Try Wed movie deal with mariemont theatre next door. Great outdoor terrace ambiance, twinkle lights on the square.

Ya! I’m a fan is right! I came here for a quaint girl’s night expecting more of a small bar. This is nothing like what I expected. This place is so beautiful, and now that is is decorated for the holidays it just sings! There are poinsettia’s everywhere and lights, and it’s upscale but feels homey at the same time. We ordered champagne and red wine. They had a great drink selection, a bit pricier but for what you are getting is quality. We started with the french onion soup that was one of the best I’ve ever had. Also a cheese plate that was great. I don’t think it was worth the price though. There are a lot of places offering cheese plates now, for less. I ordered the pepperoni pizza for an entrée. It was super flavorful and I loved the crust. A bit of a pricier night, but a great meal. Very charming! Although, I cannot wait to visit their patio in the summer. It is huge! And has a great view. Will be back for sure.
