I’m from Columbus and in Columbus, Romeo’s is everywhere. It’s a Cleveland area based pizza company and this past year they just opened one in Hyde Park. When I found this out that Romeo’s would now be ten minutes away from me at all times, Dan and I drove out the day it opened. Romeo’s has won best pizza in Columbus and in the Midwest MULTIPLE times. Those are both huge awards. You know how much amazing pizza we have in the Midwest? A lot. But it just shows how amazing Romeos is. Everything at Romeo’s is amazing. They have subs, salads, calzones, pasta, loaded bread sticks. But my favorites are the pizza and the wings. Romeo’s pizza is just perfection. Their sauce is SO good. It’s my favorite sauce on any pizza ever. Toppings I suggest getting? Extra cheese, onion, and meatball crumble. Romeo’s has normal, and boneless wings. I’ve had both. The boneless is my favorite, though. The boneless chicken with a side of ranch is the way to go. All of their food is amazing, though, I would suggest any of it. Romeo’s is easily the best chain pizza in the Cincinnati area and is even better than most local Cincinnati pizza places. Make sure if you haven’t tried it before that you do so soon.

Great pizza! Love their Margarita. Their sauce is on the sweeter side. But my wife and I prefer that. Always well done pizza. We have ordered at least 20 times and the quality is consistant and good.

We were in the neighborhood and happened upon Romeos Pizza. I’m so glad we did. The pizza was great! We ordered a regular crust 3-topping pizza — the sausage was particularly good and all the toppings seemed to be a very good quality. The owner and staff were very friendly and the order came up really fast. Glad to have found it and will definitely be back.

I tried Romeos out tonight and ordered mozzarella cheese sticks, loaded bread sticks with crispy bacon and a pizza. The cheese sticks were very good considering they were a little cold before I got home. Not the average frozen variety. Next, we ate the bread sticks, wow, the bacon was actually crispy as advertised. Delicious! Finally, the main event, the pizza. I asked for the thin crust and the original sauce. The crust can be compared to LaRosas original. Also, like LaRosas the sauce is sweet, but much chunkier. Everything was wonderful. I will definitely order again.

Romeos Pizza is an Underdog of Dining in Cincinnati because they serve some really great pizza at a reasonable price(with plenty of coupons available on the website and on the pinted menus on the counter) and yet they are getting relatively little business, especially don weekdays. For those of you who are anti-chain(and I admit to being fairly anti-chain myself) — yep, Romeos is a chain, with many locations up in Northern Ohio. However — the Hyde Park location is the only location here in Cincinnati, the owner(Jason) is local, and you will see him in there taking orders, making pizzas, and running deliveries(whatever needs done) almost every day. Said another way — it is run like a local single proprietor business, and it shows Romeos Pizza is one of my favorite eateries in all of Cincinnati, one of those places that has an item so very good that I regularly get a craving for it. That item is the deep dish pizza, known here as the Italiano. It is an «upside down» pizza, sorta — crust on the bottom, then the cheese and toppings, then this gets baked til golden brown, and when it comes out of the oven it is brushed with garlic butter, topped with heated pizza sauce, and sprinkled with parmesan cheese. The crust is very good, with a nice hole structure and good texture. The sauce — I generally don’t like to use caps in reviews, but — it’s FANTASTIC. It is a bit on the sweet side, but there is plenty of good tomato tang and hints of garlic as well. A less sweet, more savory sauce(the marinara) is available as well if you don’t like a sweet sauce. This pizza is available only in one size, about a 12−13″ round, and two toppings come included in the 12.99 price. I strongly recommend the sausage, which is outstanding, and the roasted red peppers. If you don’t like peppers, double up on the sausage I don’t want to mislead you into thinking that this is a deep dish place, though. Romeos actually specializes in thin crust traditional style pizzas, and have three different types of crusts to choose from — regular hand tossed, thin, and gluten free. Of these three, I like the thin best, but the regular hand tossed is very good too. One of the guys on my team at work has a gluten allergy, and he pronounced the gluten free pizza he tried from there as the best he has had in Cincinnati One of the best things about Romeos Pizzas is the availability of more than just your typical ingredients. Here, in addition to pepperoni, sausage, onions, green peppers, and the like, they have such ingredients as chorizo, steak, chicken breast, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke, caramelized onions, etc etc. Other pizzerias that do have ingredients like these often list such toppings as ‘gourmet’ or ‘premium’ and charge extra for them, but at Romeos, no upcharges — all toppings are charged the same. Oh, and mushrooms — they use fresh mushrooms, not the rubbery canned variety. If I am not in the mood for pizza here, I am getting one of the delicious sandwiches, which for around 6 – 7 bucks are made with your choice of a 8″ white or wheat Amoroso roll(brought in from Philly) and include a bag of chips. My favorites are the meatball, the pizza steak(which is the closest they come to a Cincinnati-style steak hoagie), and the Italian sub, although I recommend this with the balsamic dressing over the standard creamy italian used by default. The full menu includes salads, calzones, strombolis, a couple of simple pastas, breadsticks(plain, cheese, or loaded), various fried appetizers like jalapeño poppers, mozzerella sticks, and jojos(breaded potato wedges), and some fairly good(for a place that isn’t a wing joint) chicken wings. They also have a dessert item that is a takeoff on s’mores that is really, really good. There are only three seats in the place, so most business is carryout or delivery. You can order via Grubhub or the Romeos website, but it generally works out better if you call them directly due to occasional technical issues There are a ton of coupons out there, not just in circulars distributed in the Hyde Park/Oakley area, but also on their website, and at the counter. Take a look at these before ordering to save yourself some cash To save even more, you can sign up on their website for a VIP program that works off your phone number. Every dollar spent earns you a point, and at a hundred points(they don’t expire) you get a 10 dollar gift certificate. Very convenient because you don’t need to carry a card for this one, just make sure to give your phone number with each order I dearly love this place, and am sure that if you try them out, you’ll love them too. I have no financial stake here — just want to see them not only survive, but thrive, so I dont have to drive to Northern Ohio to get my Italiano fix :-) Strongly recommended

So I’ve ordered delivery twice from this store. Once during the day and once tonight. They were over an hour late to deliver my food both times(I live about 5 min away from the location, would have picked it up had I known this as a consistent problem). Tonight I called several times to find out where my food was and they assured me it would be at my house shortly. When it got here it was cold and they apparently didn’t have the two liter I ordered so they brought a different one. The customer service is terrible here, and I’ve yet to receive even warm food via deliver, which sucks because the food seems to be good if it were hot. Still waiting on a call back from management. Probably won’t happen. If you enjoy pizza that’s been sitting out for an hour or so this is the place.

I wasn’t impressed. We ordered online and that process was ok except for the fact that the coupon from the website didn’t work, so we couldn’t use it. The wait time said 45 minutes which was fine, but after 50 minutes I called and was told it would be another 15 minutes. When we opened it, the pizza was wrong, but we were so starved we just started eating. We got a call from them asking if our pizza was right. They offered to make the right pizza and bring it, but we’d already started eating and we had no idea how long that would take. The pizza itself was Ok, but the sauce was super super sweet which I’ve never had before and can’t say I enjoyed. I’m sure with the weather they were super busy, but the expectations weren’t set appropriately and frankly I didn’t feel like the food was good enough to overlook the service problems.

This review is not based on the quality of the food, since I was not able to try the food… We’ve heard of Romeo’s and thought we’d give it try. I created an online account, placed a carry-out order, received a confirmation email, and even noticed that my bank account was charged immediately for the order. Upon arriving at the store, the person working the counter had no record of my order. I then presented the confirmation email and bank charges via my phone. She then again said there was no record, but did offer to put in an order at that point. The best part about her offer(sarcasm) was that I would need charged for the new order. At that point, I asked about the charges already incurred. She shrugged her shoulders and said she couldn’t do anything about it. I then asked if anyone at the store could refund my charges and was told«No, you would need to talk to the manager». «The manager might be able to get in the credit card thing, but won’t be in until tomorrow». It was bad enough that the store did not receive my order, but what made it worse was the fact that the employee never apologized, never offered to make it right after presenting the confirmation, and could not refund my money(and could care less that I was already charged). This was my first experience with Romeo’s and getting my money refunded(at a later date), will be my last.

I have had Romeo’s pizza once and it was okay. Staff did not seem to want to help and were very disinterested in their job. I tried to order today and was so angry at the way that I was treated. After waiting an hour for two pizzas to come, I called the store to see what the holdup was. The manager, who was a woman, spoke very rudely to us and she said she would just cancel the order since we were so unhappy. I asked her if I could come and get it and she told us that we could not. So she said she would cancel our order and she hung up. Without a bye or anything she just hung up. Never ordering from Romeo’s again and advising ALL of my friends against it. She was the rudest woman i have ever spoken with.

Third review, after giving them a few months to get things worked out. I’ve never eaten at the store, only tried to order delivery online. The pizza’s pretty good. The online experience still does not work. Coupons on the website don’t work, saying«The Restaurant has not configured this coupon correctly.» Both times I’ve had to abandon the online process and call the store. The pizza is worth three stars. The online experience is worth zero. The phone staff is nice and helpful… Just wish they’d pay attention to the little things.

After reading the mostly excellent reviews of this place, we were highly disappointed. We ordered a medium thin crust pizza and small garlic bread. When ordering on the phone, the guy told us that they had a special going on this week for 8 boneless wings for 5 dollars. So we tried them, thinking we were getting a great deal. Going back and looking at the menu, it was only a savings of .99 The wings were not worth the 5 dollars. They came with the sauce on the side and tasted like frozen chunks of chicken warmed up in the microwave. The pizza seemed small for a medium, the dough was terrible — more like traditional than thin and tasted bland and again, like frozen dough. The sauce is really what ruined it for us — it was sweet and tasteless. The cheese was ok, but parts of the pizza were almost cold, and a few spots were hot — these were the only few spots that tasted OK. The only thing that was good was the garlic bread. 2 slabs of thin bread with butter and seasonings. Pretty yummy, the only good part of the meal, but they did forget the dipping sauce. Overall, we did not enjoy our food and it wasn’t worth $ 20. We had high expectations due to the great reviews, but it just lacking taste and deliciousness. We probably won’t give it a second try.

Best Delivery Pizza in the area hands down! I have had several different Pizzas here and they all have been excellent. I love their Crust and the sauce while sweet pairs nicely. The Tuscan Pepperoni is awesome. The best part is how fast they are, always friendly and on time. i ordered a pizza for THE Monday night football game and it was at my door in 25 minutes! All the complainers can settle down as this pizza dominates any delivery option around!

Sbarro’s has led me astray. Apparently… strombolis have sauce INSIDE and calzones are the ones where you dip them in sauce. Thanks Romeo’s for setting me right! Romeo’s is a nice addition to the Oakley/Hyde Park area. Online ordering is readily available which makes my life easier. I can order at work without disrupting my day and pick it up when I head home. Pretty standard pizza — tasty and I like their deep dish. However, their sauce is on the sweet side. Not my favorite but they do offer a spicier version of their sauce.

I iust got a one topping small(mushrooms) and 29oz soda with a $ 6.99 coupon. They actually charged me $ 5.90 which is super nice. The mushrooms were of good quality and the pizza was delicious. I was expecting like a little mini pizza, but it was HUGE for a small. I’ll get a couple more meals out of it. I give four stars because i like it when pizza places include napkins, parmesan, and red pepper but that’s just me being picky.

Our neighborhood has a new pizza delivery option thanks to Romeo’s Pizza, which has taken over the spot formerly occupied by Naked Pizza. While Naked Pizza was alright, my family and I only ordered from there a couple of times. Romeo’s has only been here for a couple of month, we have already ordered from them three times. Our personal favorites are easily Romeo’s Deluxe(pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, red onions, and mushrooms) and Dante’s Peak(same as before but banana peppers instead of green and tomatoes instead of mushrooms). With a few common ingredients these two pizzas make a great option for combining half on each side($ 18.49 for large). Romeo’s sauce is sweeter than it is spicy, and the toppings have always been piled high. They also sell pizza by the sheet(and half sheet) which are perfect for any parties. We ordered one on Halloween to share with our family members who came over to pass out candy at our house. Romeo’s is quickly becoming one of our favorite pizza delivery options.

I worked in the food industry for some terrible, awful, no good four years, so I’ll admit to some skepticism over a pizza place opening up where a sub-par pizza place used to be. I was sick of the usual chains and figured, hey, why not give this Romeo’s place a try? I went to their website, and they had online ordering, which is great because sometimes I just don’t want to have to talk to another human. Robots would be totally fine, though. I noticed that Romeo’s are spread out all over Ohio, so I thought, hey, maybe this won’t be like how gross Naked Pizza was. And once the pizza arrived, all comparisons to the former business that inhabited that space ended. It was nothing like that at all. It was so good, lookit, guys, I am not gonna fib about this, I totally destroyed an entire small pizza with my face, and it was glorious. I opted for the margherita pizza and since I had gone for a run earlier, decided whatever their S’mores dessert thing was, my face needed to try that, too. Both were warm and delicious. Their sauce is on the sweet side, which was a plus for me. It reminded me of the sauce my mom used to make. Delivery was speedy and mostly accurate(I ordered a pop and got the wrong thing, but whatever, I told the guy I’d just drink whatever he brought, no worries). I am looking forward to trying out other pies, but to be honest, I am kinda wishing I’d got a medium instead of a small so there’d be leftovers.

I was craving some pizza and I remembered seeing this place where Naked Pizza once lived. I’d never heard of Romeo’s and assumed it was a cheap pop-up place but I was surprised to see they were well established throughout Ohio(of course Cincy is the last place to get one). I love love love deep dish pizza but I have yet to find a place that makes a good one. Of course I ordered a deep dish with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. I placed my order online which was easy and convenient. It was reasonably priced and ready as soon as I got there to pick it up. This is definitely a take-out establishment; there was one table that’s probably there for people to sit and go over the menu, not for eating. On to the pizza. The crust was not as crisp as I prefer but it was piping hot and gooey. The sauce is super sweet as another reviewer mentioned. It really threw me off but it was tolerable. The medium pizza was more than enough for me so I think I got a good bang for my buck. I will definitely try Romeo’s again but I will probably go for a sandwich or something other than pizza as I’m not a huge fan of the sauce. It’s great alternative when you are looking for setting different.

Deep dish is great, prepared quickly and a really good price. Sauce was good, different from many other pizza places, very sweet which was unexpected. Would definitely get pizza here again. They also have a lot of coupons and specials.
