I was able to try Sidekix for dinner tonight during a monthly meeting for the Junior League of Cincinnati. Any establishment that supports non profits is a winner in my book, so Sidekix already earned points with me. They provided us with with option to build our own bowl from the options of noodles, white rice, brown rice, tofu, pork, and a variety of accoutrements. I opted for a bowl of brown rice, tofu, pork, water chestnuts, corn, broccoli, and crispy noodles. I pared all of this with their General Kix and Curry sauces. I was pretty pleased with how light and healthy the food was, while not being short on taste and variety. I’m definitely looking forward to trying out more options on the menu at Sidekix in the near future!

This place is alight. Not great, not really good. I got a chicken bowl with various veggies on top along with teriyaki and yum yum sauce. The veggies are cold? Which freaked me out and was an odd sensation, so I heated my bowl up. That made it better. Bowl was around $ 7.50. Wouldn’t seek out this restaurant again, but wouldn’t be opposed to it.

Love Side Kix! I’ve been here 20ish times and can’t wait to go back. The food is very good, it’s quick and with no tax for carry out or tips to pay it is cost effective fast food that’s fresh. My best advice would be to get the yum yum sauce its heaven. I actually get yum yum and General kix sauces together since you can do that. I find the bowls to be of very nice portion size. I usually get a bowl with chicken, noodles, broccoli, eggs, green peppers, cheese, and mushrooms with General kix and yum yum sauce. You can configure it any way you want!

I have been here twice now and it makes for a delicious, quick meal(especially after a workout). The owner is great and very friendly. The location is convenient and I will continue to return.

I wanted a healthier option for lunch. Thinking it was going to be hot food, I was expecting something totally different. However, it was still a very tasty meal. The only thing making it similar to Chipotle is the line service and the prices. Just know it isn’t a hot asian meal. It is a mix of cold and hot food, with an assortment of veggie toppings served to your own liking.

Fifth or sixth time I’ve been here. Great place, reasonably priced, excellent food every time.

I loved my dinner at Sidekix. I have a feeling the hubby and I will be coming back here on the regular when we need a fast, easy, healthy, and YUMMY dinner during the workweek! First of all, I had been hesitating from trying this place because everyone keeps saying it’s like Chipotle, so I assumed it was a chain. Let me clear this up… This place is completely LOCAL and it is the only Sidekix. So if you’re looking to support local businesses, you should check this place out. Now, the ordering system is very similar to all of the other fast casual places out there… But with an Asian fusion twist! I got a bowl with brown rice, chicken, spicy cabbage, and tons of fresh veggies. My date got a wrap with noodles(yes, you can put lo mein in your burrito! Game changer!), beef, spicy cabbage, and extra broccoli. Then comes the best part… the sauces. We asked to try a few sauces. Our favorites were the hoisin garlic and the yum yum sauce, so I got both of those on my bowl. Then we topped everything off with a bit of Sriracha and sat down to eat. OMG all the food was surprisingly good! The beef and chicken were much better than other chain fast food restaurants, and the veggies were fresher. But the sauces are what really made this place stand out. I definitely recommend you try the sauces, and put 2 – 3 sauces on your order. My only complaint is that I thought the noodles were overcooked(could be fixed very easily!). The owner served us and he was very friendly, telling us all about how he and his wife opened this place up together. They even painted the walls themselves and their dad made all of their tables. The décor is a little sparse, but the owner says they are going to put up new art work. Sidekix is not authentic Asian food; it’s fast-casual with Asian flavors, something that even your kids would enjoy. I really liked it, and for ~$ 8 for a bowl or wrap, it’s a lot of food and a great deal. We’ll be back!

New favorite place for tasty fast fresh and healthy, not to mention inexpensive. Each time we have been here the veggies have been fresh and crunchy, the meat tender, and the rice or noodles cooked right. I love the sauces and the fact that I can pick 2 sauces to personalize my dish. This is comfort food and a great way to get alot of veggies. Sure the wall décor could use a little polish but this is not a chain people. It is a locally owned and operated family restaurant. We will be regulars.

My husband and I went after I kept hearing good reviews. The place was empty when we walked in. At first I was excited because it was supposed to be an Asian version of Chipotle. But after the first bite, we regretted our decisions. I ordered a beef noodle bowl with all of the vegetables with the coconut curry sauce. First off, I was expecting habachi style… pick your items and they cook them up. Instead I got tiny pinches of raw vegetables over, what I can only describe as a longer version of the noodles you find in condensed chicken noodle soup, tiny dry beef bits that tasted like a processed meat(not fresh) and a sauce that literally had no distinguishable flavor. My husband’s was no better. The concept has tons of potential, but the food itself is truly lacking. I can’t say I’ll be recommending this restaurant or going back. Hopefully they make some changes, because it’s an awesome concept.

Damn tasty. It’s like Chipotle for your Asian cravings. There’s something about simplicity in ordering and eating food that is a bonus for a quick dining experience. Eat here and thank me.

Very fresh veggies! Bowls are awesome. The Peanut Sauce has a little kick with a good flavor.

Great concept. bowl or wrap choose your base them toppings etc. just a very bad execution. I walked in and the place was empty – should have been a sign. I got a bowl of rice with half steak and chicken with various veggies on top. The steak is some spicy beef actually as opposed to «steak». I picked the yum yum sauce to go on top. Actually I wanted it on the side but the hostess put it on top. The owner manager kindly offered to re-do my bowl but I refused. He paid for my drink. After sitting down, I could only eat 2 bites. The beef tasted bad. The cold raw veggies on top do not work. This is not traditional Asian. I guess this is what fusion is? I don’t see this place sticking around long. It feels like an Asian chipotle but the food simply doesn’t taste good. Decided to go try green dog café next door.

You want it your way? OK! Customizable Asian inspired bowls? Great. You’re not here for ambiance, you’re here to get a bowl of chow ASAP and be on your way. Caught it during off hours so it was empty, which was great because we needed an in-and-out experience. The meat itself was uninspiring, just your average protein sources. I am anxious to try out their various sources, their signature sauce WAS tasty, but I’m still looking for something to fill that Orange Chicken bowl craving from Panda Express that I get every couple of weeks. Still, a great lunch option if you’re heading downtown via 50.

Very enjoyable atmosphere with wonderful food. Asian fusion Chipolte would describe the cuisine. Give them a try.

I’ve been twice, and I live 25 minutes away. I was excited to try the concept the first time, and liked it so much I came back another time and bought one for dinner and one for lunch the next day. I have only tried the bowl, in various iterations, and it’s been very good. I was a little surprised that most of the veggie toppings are chilled rather than warm, but it’s very tasty that way, and a lot less greasy. Staff has been very friendly and helpful both times, and let me try the sauces before choosing(I was the only person in line). I agree with some other mentions that the signage could use a little more ‘flair’, but I’m sure they’ll get around to that. They recently updated hours to be closed Sunday, which is a bummer if you don’t live nearby and don’t want to battle the weekday traffic to get there. Love that this is a fast, casual, HEALTHY, alternative. Please consider coming to N. KY if you expand! We desperately need non national chains!

Nice Asian fusion place taking a ride on the fast-casual style train. With it being brand new, the staff is still working out a few kinks on the ordering process, but overall, really enjoyed it. I went with the bowl with lots of veggies(fun things to choose from, such as water chestnuts and snow peas) and it was a good size — very filling. Lots of sauces to choose from, so you shouldn’t get too bored with the same meal every time — the Thai peanut had a little spicy kick and was pretty tasty!

Tried this Sidekix tonight. Very scarce in wall décor(none), except one poster explaining the ordering process. Very echo-y. No prices listed anywhere. Ordering instructions akin to Fusian, or Chipotle(without pricing). Staff was definitely very well informed on the product, and had the 12 – 16 different sauce descriptions down. Got at least 3 different sauce tastings. I’m a big fan of the whole MexAsian hybrid that’s going on(Red Sesame food truck, et al), and they have white or brown rice OR Asian noodles as a base. More of their veggies are Asian inspired, things you’d find in a sushi roll, but they make it into a burrito or bowl. If you want anything traditional, go away. If you want to spin a new twist on mixed up non-committal ethnic food, give them a shot! When I’m uncommitted for dinner, I’ll definitely keep this in mind.

They opened next door to my fitness club a few days ago and we decided to give it a try after working out. Think of it as Chipotle Asian fusion: pick a bowl or wrap, a protein(chose chicken), rice or noodles(white rice), vegetables(tried water chestnuts and carrots) and a sauce — there are 8 and the Thai peanut is pretty good. More than one meal here like Chipotle and prices are similar, $ 8 for a sandwich wrap. We used to eat at a very similar place in Palo Alto(rojoz gourmet wraps) when we lived in California, but the sauces in the my thai and rockin’ shrimp there were more flavorful. And, the service, as you might expect opening week, is a bit inept. Not overwhelming, but good quality.
