I love stopping by Subway for a cheap, healthy, quick alternative to cooking at home or eating out. This location is about 3 minutes from my house so I stop by relatively regularly. I love that Subway advertises its calorie count and does not hide what is bad for you. I love that there are many options that are on my diet. I also LOVE the $ 5 footlong promotion. One sandwich is enough for both my husband and I for dinner. What a steal! We always get the exact same thing– Here is our order: Sweet onion chicken teriyaki on flatbread, toasted. Try the flatbread!!! Its a little more calories than the wheat bread, but I like it better because it doesn’t feel like you are eating 75% bread in your sandwich. We include every single one of the veggies and extra banana peppers!!! Don’t forget the sweet onions sauce! What I love is that they will make one half different than the other without complaint when my husband and I share it. They will also cut and wrap them separately and still charge the $ 5 price. The workers are almost all high schoolers, but that isn’t a bad thing. They have always been quick and friendly enough. All calorie conscious people should choose Subway and if you are on the West Side of town, choose this location as your Subway!

Like most subways, the food is a healthier alternative to burger joints, and in my opinion, tastier. When I last visited the place was spotless, the floor had just been mopped and everything else was very clean. Kudos! The people that helped me were fast and friendly. I recommend that for dessert you skip those chocolate chip cookies and head next door to the Aroma’s Gelato café and eat some of their yummy concoctions.
