System Parking

On Sunday, May 9, 2010, I attended the Reds-​Cubs game with my wife. When we parked at System Parking Lot #626 across the street, we were charged $ 20 for what should have been a $ 15 spot. When I told the attendant about this discrepancy, he laughed in our faces and said, «Well, it’s because the Reds are playing Chicago and there are more people here.»
I don’t appreciate being taken advantage of, so I called System Parking the next day. Several days and several unhelpful execs later, I finally reached a helpful person named Terri who connected me with the manager of Lot #626. I accepted his heartfelt apology.
Sadly, this positive story doesn’t end well, because I was treated quite rudely when I called back to report the good news.
My wife and I moved to Cincinnati a year ago from Chicago in part because we thought shameful behavior like price gouging and rude service were unknown here. I’m sad to say I was clearly mistaken where System Parking is concerned.
