I see that The Redmoor has a lot of great reviews, so apparently my experience was unusual, but I still don’t see myself going back. It took extremely long to get a drink, so you’d have to order a bunch at once if you didn’t want to spend the evening waiting at the bar, but then it was hard to find a place to set your drinks down. And it was almost impossible to find a place to sit. At one point we grabbed what we thought was an open bench but someone came over and yelled at us — it was not an employee, but the person was very rude and it was the final straw to ruining our evening.

If you love live bands and good music this is the spot for you. The Redmoor has their own private chef that prepares their food. I love the mature atmosphere and swank chic look of this establishment. I’ve been several times and have enjoyed myself every-time. I would say another hidden jewel in the gem city.

As far Seeing Live Music, Redmoor is not the place to go. Food, Bar, Atmosphere is fine, but they care more about weddings here than Live Music. The audience area is literally lit up by 4 overhead bright white lights. It is like being at a high school dance. I just visited the Redmoor last weekend to see Ekoostik Hookah and felt bad for the band and sound/lighting people. I actually spoke to the band technicians and they said the owners were concerned with people smoking, so the lights are right on you, and they were not happy about it. The Band can probably see you better than you can see them. I asked the co-owner of this venue why the lights directly on the audience? She gave a very canned answer about fire code /fire dept requirements, but it was easy to see that was just a line of you know what… All these other venues in Cinci don’t flood their patrons in white light on the dance floor ??? Dear Redmoor, I know some of the Band members in your up-coming Charity Band event this weekend and I’m sure you’ll hear from them. good luck! If you are looking for Live Music go elsewhere until the Redmoor stops brow-beating the patrons with strong white light.

Great place to relax and enjoy a night of live music and drinks. Maybe it was the fact that I got there a little early, but at first I couldn’t tell if it was more restaurant, or club. Great atmosphere though.

Redmoor is Aca-Awesome! Fantastic music, 8 dollar cover(which is nothing for what you get to listen to) Super nice staff, reasonable prices for drinks(I haven’t eaten here) I came here once when it was called something else about 5 years ago or so and had forgotten and got a nightmare flashback about that night(when I fell on my face because I may or may not have been over-served… I’ll let you decide) Hilarious. Anyway… you walk in and there’s your standard bar area, then there’s a lower level with tables and a giant dance floor and stage! The crowd I’m sure can vary, but I was definitely on the younger side — more of a 40+ crowd, but I’m sure that just depends on what’s going on. I had a great time. I love live music, especially GOOD live music which this place provides :-)

We just had our wedding reception at the Redmoor and it was phenomenal. The food was fantastic. The service and the attention to detail were unparalleled. And, the space is so unique, warm, and inviting! Our guests loved the event and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Definitely check this place out.

We went here on a Saturday evening for dinner and live jazz music. It was a good time. We got here early, made dinner reservations and then had a table for the music. Not a whole lot of parking, some in the back and then street. The food was good we had burgers and wings. Good atmosphere and good music.

The Redmoor is a classic space, both in it’s wonderfully-aged décor and the fact that it once was a movie theatre. Both these things make me like it a lot. There isn’t a lot to The Redmoor — walk into the giant room and there’s a bar on your right and a stage in front of you down some steps, that’s the extent of the entire building. However, this creates a nice sense of intimacy, even though it’s a monster space. The place is great to see a show or hear a concert. Lots of room, solid drink prices(expensive but not too expensive) and it’s easy to see the stage from wherever you are standing. I hear they have food but I never saw a menu. Ah well. The décor is what makes this place really shine. It’s red … very red. Red walls, red lights, red all. I kind of love it, the dark, weird feeling of a place with history. It’s not your average event space, that’s for sure. Parking is a bit of a nightmare because there’s no lot and the surrounding area is always packed no matter what time you come. Leave yourself some time to get here and park and also be ready to walk a few blocks if necessary. Overall, great theatre and happy it’s in the area.

Food better than expected. Prices nothing special. Went to see local acts, kudos to establishments that support varied local bands and not just mainstream/cover type music.

Excellent place, was just there to watch the Oscar short films, Limitied menu and while we did not eat there, they seemed to run out of a lot of dishes. Drinks where fairly priced.

I just visited this classic establishment in old Mount Lookout. I had a great time. They put on the Oscar nominated Short films, both animated and live action. They also added in some great foreign commercials. They had a limited menu but a good bar selection. It was a popular event so seating was tight but everyone got a seat from what I could tell. The pricing was reasonable in all regards. It’s a good venue for many different events.
