This was our second visit at due amici and we were really hoping this time would be different. Unfortunately, it was very much the same quality as we had the first time. Both my wife and I had chicken dishes and both were very chewy… I called and spoke with Alex the manager and explained that we had just had take out and that the chicken dishes were very chewy and uneatable. Alex replied and said he would pass on the info to the chef but that it could just have been the way the chicken was cut. He also said the owner wasn’t in but that maybe next time we go there they may give us a free desert. Horrible experience and even worse customer service. We will not be trying this place a third time for sure. We really wanted a good Italian place close to home, what a shame!

Had a brunch reservation at noon for 5 people for my sister’s birthday for this coming Sunday. Unfortunately, management cancelled my reservation, something about paperwork and not booking properly. They could seat us at 11 or 2p. That did work since some of us are coming from out of town. Very unprofessional! Three days away and no brunch plans:(

Always good and well worth the visit to this byob. They have serving delicious HOT food down to a science. Don’t laugh, there are many restaurants that have tasty food but can’t seem to serve it HOT. Obviously this is important to the chef and from people like me… thank you!

I write very few reviews but felt the need at this time. We had a reserved group section for our annual Xmas gathering. We all felt that the waitress and staff did an excellent job as the entres came out hot and all at the same time! Not one dissapointment heard, with 14 «women» lol, everyone enjoyed their meal and because the portions are large, took home the remainder. A bonus was we were there on 25% off Monday! The temperature was warm and at our request they were gracious enough to lower. We plan on another night in 2016.

Very good food, I had the Filet with Crab and it was good. Not a huge fat piece of meat but rather on the skinny side. Didnt seem like a filet at all to me but it was still very good. Our waitress was alittle off on her attentiveness, kind of slow, but she was pleasant. Atmosphere is nice and a cute outdoor eating area was very pretty.

We went there for the Father’s Day Sunday buffet and we were very pleased. I’m not sure of our server’s name but he had long hair tied back and a beard. He was VERY attentive and accommodating. Excellent service and food.

Came here for a Sunday night dinner for a party of 10. The service was decent, our server was friendly and didn’t seem to forget any details of our orders, but he was scant on the water refills. We had to ask for water 2 times, and then my sister ended up getting up and just bringing over the water pitcher meant for the waiters. The food had hits and misses. They have a Sunday Supper special, which means 4 courses for $ 17– a great deal. It comes with choice of appetizer, salad, entrée and dessert from a special menu. I ordered Calamari as my appetizer and was underwhelmed. The breading wasn’t crispy and the squid itself was a little tough– I definitelly wouldn’t order that again. I chose salad with Bleu Cheese dressing(I thought their house dressing was a little strange, it’s an Italian dressing but is pink in color, which unsettled me a bit), it’s a simple garden salad with good bleu cheese dressing and was ok in my book. I ordered Penne alla Vodka for my entrée and it was pretty good. Not the best that I’ve ever tasted, but certainly good. It did not have Prosciutto in the sauce either like it traditionally does, which for me is a sad omission, but not a deal breaker. The portions are definitely huge, I brought home what will end up being 2 lunch portions, so that’s nice. Then for dessert I ordered the Tiramisu which was tasty, but I make a mean Tiramisu and I’d rather eat the one I make: x So my final verdict: I wouldn’t go out of my way to return to Due Amici. But if someone else wants to go, you’ll have a reasonably good meal for a reasonable price.

Having dined here for dinner and loving it, my husband and I decided to try their Sunday brunch. To our surprise brunch was horrible! The coffee was weak and looked like tea through the glass mug. We both ordered omelettes for our main entrée. I ordered an egg white omelette with broccoli, spinach, onions and cheese. It came burnt brown with spinach, onions, peppers and mushrooms. I had to pick the mushrooms out of the omelette since i didn’t have time for them to prepare another one. My husband had a regular omelette with vegetables that looked as brown and over cooked as mine. However, the worst part of the brunch was the buffeted items. The bagels were cut into quarters and the croissants into thirds. Fruit salad looked like it was from last night’s bowl. The bacon was thin and curled up into small pieces. It really did not taste like bacon to me. The best parts of the buffet were the grilled vegetables, pasta salad and pasta with light sauce. But in all, the buffet was a huge disappointment and it was obvious they were trying to skimp on the breads and pastries. The good news is that it only cost $ 10.99 per person. My advice to any diner is to skip this brunch and join them for dinner!

I LOVE that they send out absolute favorite is the penne vodka. there are no words to describe this dish. the breads are delicious,& the home made dressing is great. they are top notch for having a celebration there. I can not say enough good things! My ALL time favorite restaurant.

Witnessed eye rolls, huffs, and bad attitudes from the wait staff– not just towards me, but towards other patrons as well. I was there with my family including my young daughter. The food took so long to come out and she was getting a little antsy and needed a walk or two to the entry way. A waiter actually asked me to take her outside.(It was about 6 degrees outside that day.) The food was mediocre– not worth waiting for or taking the rudeness of the wait staff. There are much better and friendlier places to dine.

Went for brunch. You select an entrée(egg based) off the menu then help yourself to a breakfast buffet. The buffet has pancakes, sausage, French toast, bagels, etc. it had grilled veggies and one type of pasta. Some of the pastries looked like store bought but I didn’t try them so can’t be sure. Some of the food was more warm then hot, my biggest gripe of a buffet. The place itself seems more of an older crowd style.(Elderly). They have a nice looking outside patio that’s probably nice in the summer but don’t know that I would give it a shot.

Average at best. Food was very mediocre. Had chicken parm with a side of penne. Cutlets were small and overcooked. Penne was three days past al dente. Salad was ok, bread was good. My wife had the salmon and we thought the fish may come back to life because it was drowning in a lemon sauce they put on it. Server was attentive. Tables were too close together. I would not return.

This place must of changed ownership or lost one the owners that had a clue .I ordered veal cutlet w a side of pasta light on the sauce .What I wound up getting was far from edible, the veal was not breaded and however it was cooked it had broiler marks on it .I guess this is what you get when a chef doesn’t cook it.

I was surprised when I read the reviews for this place as I had high expectations. Sadly, my expectations were not met. While there, I tried a couple appetizers, a main dish, and dessert and I was completely underwhelmed with all of them. I was especially disappointed with the main course as it was drenched in sauce, which took away from the taste of the pasta. I may try it again based on previous reviews, but my opinion so far is not a good one.

This is the best BYOB restaurant around. The food is delicious(penne vodka YUM!!!) and the staff is great. Due amici is also a bit sentimental to me — it’s the restaurant my fiancé and I had our first date, became a couple and we even had dinner there the night we got engaged. Looking forward to having due amici cater our wedding!

We really like this place. Not only food but also atmosphere. It’s always super quiet, dim lighting, so it has a bit of a romantic feel if it’s date night. During nice weather they have a great private outside section. Servers are all very good. You start off with a full basket of different types of breads. Italian dressing for the salad is delicious. Food is wonderful. Some dishes are rather pricey but they send out generous coupons in the mail which will really bring the total down.

My old stomping grounds! This restaurant is located in my hometown, and I remember getting dinner with friends during high school to celebrate birthdays and the like. Though I hadn’t been to Due Amici in about 10 years, I my little sister had her sweet 16 brunch here a couple of months ago and I attended. There were about 12 girls and Due Amici staff was very accommodating. The brunch was delicious– I got an egg white and mushroom omelet which was perfectly cooked. The buffet was nice as well… I loved the grilled vegetables. I haven’t been here for dinner in about 10 years, but the brunch was definitely above average.

My wife took me out for dinner tonight. This restaurant is kind of hidden, its directly behind the McDonald’s that sits on Route 130 North, coming out of Cinnaminson, headed towards Delran. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. There are two seating areas inside and a nice enclosed outdoor seating area. Our Chef Salad with the house salad dressing was good! The light vinegarette enfused dressing almost had me drinking it out of the holder. We had the Crab Cakes appetizers. They were good, not great. 50% filler, 50% crab meat. My main dish was not on the menu, I had Cajun Chicken Fettucini Alfredo. The waiter made it happen! My wife had Chicken Imperial, it had crab meat and parmesan cheese. We shared the Broccoli, it could have been seasoned more.

I tried this highly recommended restaurant over the weekend and unfortunately found it quite average. It started off promising as a small, intimate BYOB. These kinds of places are my favorite– it’s not too loud, not too«busy» and you can really focus on your meal. And who doesn’t love BYOBs? They’re great – they save you money while getting you more drunk than you probably would have if it wasn’t a BYOB. It’s also kind of funny that a nice restaurant welcomes it, but the local McDonald’s will call the cops if you bring in a case of PBR. Two more months until my ban is up – can’t wait!!! The décor is on the simple and plain side, yet still nice and clean. One feature I did appreciate was the outdoor fire burning you could still see inside. It was nice to see the restaurant go the extra mile and get the fire going even though the outdoor seating area wasn’t being used because of all the snow. I’ll have to come back in warmer weather to see how they utilize this area. As far as the rest of the atmosphere, one thing it lacked was music! I’m in an Italian restaurant and didn’t hear one Sinatra song. This should be a requirement when Board of Health comes in. The music that was playing was modern and could barely be heard. As for the service, it wasn’t bad, but felt it could have been better. I brought in two bottles of wine. The server uncorked the bottles but didn’t pour the wine, nor asked to get an ice bucket for the white. I may be nitpicking, but it’s the simple things like this that can set it apart from another. I also don’t recall having the server come back every few minutes to check on things. For me, this is so simple, but goes a long way for me. For my meal, I had the antipasto for an appetizer that came with the traditional meats, cheeses, and vegetables. The portion size was a good one and was delicious. How much more can you say about an antipasto dish? After that I had the seafood bisque. I was on the fence as to go with the soup or salad, but my decision of the soup was the correct one. It came in a big bowl, larger than a serving size I’d expect. The taste was amazing and might have been one of the better seafood bisques I’ve ever had. My main course was linguine with meat sauce. I was feeling traditional that night and wanted to keep things simple. The portion size was huge, but didn’t have a lot of pasta. I’ve never seen so much gravy before. When it was placed in front of me, I literally couldn’t see any of the pasta underneath it. I was a little disappointed with it overall as it is one of the most simplest dishes in an Italian restaurant and should be phenomenal wherever you get it. It had a more tangy taste to it than I like. While I don’t think it was bad, I think this was more of a personal opinion and yours might differ. My 3-star review might change over time. I have a rule of thumb I go by and if it’s less than 3 stars I won’t return. Next time I go back, my rating might change.

Stopping by the restaurant or including them in your next event, Due Amici is always a winning choice. Once you’ve been seated, you’re invited to peruse a menu that has almost anything your taste buds could ask for… when putting that date on the calendar, look no further than Dan for directions, suggestions and support. He will bring all the pieces together to help make your special day one you will never forget.
