Friendly’s

Well the food is what it is… not exactly great but edible. This location usually plays crappy pop music in the background, to which dippy customers annoyingly sing to right near me so I have to remember to get a secluded table whenever possible because there’s usually someone annoying around anyway. My waitress was slightly off, seemed to have been rushing me even though there were only a few people in the place. Guess she’s practicing for more chain restaurant work;

Management made this place a lot better in the past couple of years. They hired better workers. The price for food is still very high so we only go as a family if we have coupons which keep it a little more reasonable. Staff is great now!

This place is never crowded and all the times I’ve been here I received my food right away.

How can you go wrong with Friendly’s? I mean. you come here for scoops of ice cream on top of your choice of toppings plus MORE ICE CREAM.
Absolutely delicious :) I come here often with my boyfriend & this particular location is spacious and pretty clean. It can get a little busy here but never overwhelming. The servers are nice and we have never had bad service. There is an extensive menu & they’re always serving specials. They serve all-​American food such as burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, salads, etc. The main entrees are nothing to rave about but they are pretty good. It’s like the same quality of food you’d expect at Applebees or TGI Fridays.
However, the hubaloo of Friendly’s is definitely the ICE CREAM SUNDAES I mentioned before. They also serve brownie cakes and things like that. all served with 3 scoops of ice cream. The dessert menu is the heart of this place. You can never choose one item from it. It’s always a life-​or-​death situation because LIKE OMG THE FORBIDDEN FUDGE BROWNIE SUNDAE LOOKS DELISH BUT THEN THE REESES PIECES ONE LOOK BETTER. What to do? My solution is to just come once every other week or so and try them all ;D
I mean, what’s a girl like me to do? Three or five scoops of ice cream plus chocolate, peanut butter, marshmallow, sprinkles, and whatever else you wanna add? It’ll seriously be the biggest decision you will ever make. TRUST ME.
Lots of people drop by just for the ice cream so no, you’re not weird if you sit at the front end seats where they serve sundaes after sundaes to you until you go into a sugar coma.
Enjoy but make sure you eat in moderation!
P. s. Not sure if they still have it, but the last time I visited, they had a cotton candy flavored ice cream that contained pop rocks. You read it right. Pop Rocks in ice cream. It was soo good but I think it was a limited time thing. Perhaps we shall meet again, oh delicious one.

There was a time in which I enjoyed going to this particular restaurant. I could receive the food I’ve come to expect when visiting a Friendly’s. However when my wife and I went here with our family a couple of months ago, the service was horrible, and the food was terrible. not to mention the fact that the prices seem to have skyrocketed. Tonight I went in there to get some ice-​cream, and the girl at the takeout window didn’t even acknowledge me when I asked her how her day was, so I asked again only to get a grunt, and «what do you want?» response. If I didn’t have my wife, who’s pregnant with twins in the car waiting for ice cream, I would have walked out. Overall I would not recommend this location. The one in Moorestown is way better.

Only come for their jim dandy ice cream and we always get it to go, dine in there once and i didnt like the food.

This place really needs to get there act together. If you order a meal that comes with a sundae you should be asked what kind of ice cream you want not do you want the check. Drinks should not take 5 minutes to get when there are only two tables in your section. Complaining about how long your day is not anything I care about.
The owners should either do serious training or close down.

This place is the back of a waste management truck in August. Terrible. The prices are high. The atmosphere is weak. The kitchen always looks dirty. Even looking in, it’s not scary. I used to go to Friendly’s years ago after dances and with family; no longer. It’s seemingly always crowded (I guess there is always a fool). I’m cool with getting an ice cream blizzard or cyclone or whatever they are called but the food, is an absolute disgrace.
