If you are ever in the Citrus Heights area and you want a delicious meal you can not go wrong eating here. It’s small and quaint experience makes you feel welcome. My boyfriend and I go here once every 2 weeks and we have never been dissapointed! The staff is great and the owner, Stacie is always there checking in on everything. Also try the mehsuganut(pardon my spelling!) Mocha if you get a chance. From the Kosher food to the memes on the wall, this place is well worth your time. Enjoy it!

The idea of a authentic kosher style deli would be amazing. The number of dishes Bubbie Love’s has is great. But to me the quality is most important. If you look at all the pictures you’ll see that most dishes are overcooked. Hashbrowns are mostly cracklings. Corned beef hash is dried out and dark, like it is last weeks leftover and left out corned beef. Everything has a touch of overcooked or burnt. Worse than that sin is the matzo ball soup. Authentic should have nice chunks of chicken and carrot. This was mostly filler. I had more celery and onion than chicken and carrot combined. The soup flavor was good but I need substance. And what’s that green herb she mixes in her matzo balls? Too much change to a simple and delicious recipe. They need to simplify and stick to basics.

Absolutely one of the most underrated spots around. Everything in the menu is amazing. Super casual people that put love into everything. The rueben is the best in town. Try this place now! Recommended: corned beef hash Country benny.

Matzo ball soup. That’s all you need to know. It’s a cozy little place with delicious food and very nice folks working behind the counter. Neighborhood places like this are hard to come by, and I feel lucky that I work so close to Bubbie’s so I can make it my regular lunch spot.

Great food at this home in the wall. Plenty of unique options such as poached eggs and blintzes. My poached egg meal was perfect for a half size. The full size at $ 12.50 would have been too much. Service is OK.

Situated by a power substation, a small deli, not particularly well labeled, unassuming on a rainy Friday afternoon. My father and I sidled in and were greeted by a courteous and genuinely helpful waitress. I ordered a cup of matzo ball soup, my dad got the latkes and I ordered the spinach and mushroom knish, baked earlier that day, which they heated up for me and put feta on top. For dessert we got a house made apple butter blintz, served hot with a bit of whipped cream on top. The knish was slightly on the dry side, but nicely seasoned. We enjoyed the latkes with the traditional sides of apple sauce and sour cream. Overall, an excellent corner deli with a very friendly staff and traditional Jewish eats. I recommend it for its tasty, down-home cooking and the prices were also very reasonable.

I went there for lunch today and ordered the Rachel– it was amazing. Very tender, not fatty like other places. The fries were crisp, but not crunchy or hard. The service was wonderful too. I can’t wait to come back for breakfast.

This place reminds me of my hometown«mom and pop» restaurant. The food taste fantastic and you can tell its prepared with love. I had the corned beef hash with eggs over medium(cooked exactly how I like them) and a latke. The corned beef hash is excellent! TONS of shredded corned beef! The hubs had bacon and eggs and everywhere we go, he always asks for soft bacon and it’s never cooked right. His bacon today was perfect he said. The service was great, very friendly staff and I loved seeing regulars walk in and the staff knowing exactly what they want. We definitely will be back!

Bubbie’s Love Bistro is a fun stop. When I miss the New York café experience I travel 20 or so miles to Bubbie’s. Tasty food, pleasant folks & just the right amount of sarcasm.(They only bust out the sarcasm if you ask.) Aaahhh, I was definitely feeling the love! The half turkey sandwich and matzoh ball soup made a wonderful lunch. My lunch pal and I vowed to make it a monthly stop. She travels from Folsom, & I travel from midtown. It’s worth the drive.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The service, the food and the mom and pop feel the second you walk in makes me a frequent flier here. What to order: Corn Beef with house potatoes, poached eggs and Rye toast. This is my go to and is hands down the best corn beef in the Sacramento area What else is good: the cheese blintz’s, the Matzo ball soup and the Lox with house made bagels. All excellent choices.

Delightful lunch! This Jewish deli /hole-in-the-wall greasy spoon(yes, those two marry marvelously) that serves my kind of comfort food(I’m Russian Jewish thanks to my mother) Mac n cheese was gooey and flavorful — nice and sharp with a hint of garlic. Reuben was everything it should be and more. Kids loved the Mickey Mouse pancakes. Kids’ meals are a really good deal. They serve breakfast and lunch all day. Definitely a hidden gem we will return to when traveling between the Bay Area and Tahoe.

The most amazing corned beef hash I have ever had. No canned beef used. Service is amazing. They are very friendly. I love the dynamics between the owner and restaurant server. Please continue the fantastic job you are doing.

Finally made it into Bubbie’s today for lunch take-out. Good thing I was doing take out; the small dining room was full. I’ve been wanting to do breakfast here but the timing hasn’t been on my side. Bubbie’s is in small space at the end of a corner strip center. Parking is limited in front of the bistro but there’s plenty of parking in the center. Seating is limited to perhaps 16 – 18 plus a few at the high counter. It’s a very non-pretentious little bistro/café with definite charm. As I waited for my take-out order, I was able to watch the activity in the open kitchen and the gals working today were happy, bright, and energetic preparing and serving the full house. It’s fun to glance at the tables to see what others are eating. I took home a Turkey sandwich on dark rye with two sides of coleslaw. Added the appetizer falafel(6 pieces) and was given a complimentary cookie. This was plenty of food for two for lunch — splitting the sandwich. No complaints at all except that I wish I could have eaten in house. Tasty and fresh. The coleslaw was home made and had a slightly tangy, slight sweet dressing, and light. The falafel was seasoned really well, tasty, and obviously fresh and in-house. Falafel is a new find for me and on the prowl looking for my favorite. The cookie… I love cookies. Cookies are my drug. Frosted cookies, not so much. However, this cookie and it’s frost were not notably sweet and the amount of coating was only enough to compliment the flavor and texture of the cookie. Excellent. I am definitley coming back for lunch again and will make sure I get my self in order to make a breakfast or two very soon.

Started off with hot cup of coffee. Peerless brand and it was way above your average. Tasted fantastic! Steady stream of people coming in for togo orders. Always a good sign. We ordered the Pastrami version of their Reuben called the Rachel on dark rye. We also ordered the housemade corned beef hash and eggs. Here we go! Pics to follow and it looks great!

Went back with my husband yesterday for breakfast. And had their amazing Benny’s Egg Benedict. We were very satisfied))) This is our only place we go for delicious Egg Benedict. Recommend! The owner paying attention to reviews. And I have respect for her that she’s humble in of to listen and improve things in her restaurant. Thank you Stacy! You rock! Will come back for more with friends and family!

Great service and good food! Its very small place and you may have wait for a table, but it has yummy poached eggs with sausage gravy. The corn beef hash is home made. The omelets are excellent and have a lot of options. Will be back!

It is difficult to find decent places to eat in the Sacramento burbs that are not big chain restaurants. And this isn’t the area where I’d expect to find a decent deli. Can’t even find one in the SF Bay Area where I live. Enter Bubbie’s. I took by dad here for lunch between two medical appointments at the nearby Kaiser. He had the pastrami sandwich with coleslaw. Enjoyed it and took half home for later. I know it isn’t Berkeley but wish they nix the so environmentally unfriendly styrofoam containers. I had the large chopped salad and it was simple and deliciously dressed with olive oil and lemon. I also had a spinach and mushroom knish with some feta sprinkled on top. Also very tasty. Didn’t get to sample anything else but I’d like to try the latkes and the borscht next time. Tangent irrelevant to the food but why I’ll return. I’m sitting with my dad. I’m big, have a shaved head, wear men’s clothing, and am a gender airball. After we ordered the owner, Stacy, came over to check on us and belted out, «how are you doing gentlemen?» I answered, «We’re fine.» Then she saw that I wasn’t exactly a gentleman(and for the record I’m not a lady either and hate that even more) and said she was sorry. I told her I really didn’t care and that I just wanted to be treated well. Instead of stumbling over herself and getting weird — the customary response, Stacy just smiled, said, «I bet you get that a lot,» and kept talking. She ended up staying a while and returning. It ends up that her boyfriend and I went to the same high school though several years apart so I didn’t know him. When we left she was hard at work in the kitchen. Stacy is a true mentsch with a pleasant independently-owned restaurant. I wish her much continued success.

Summary: Great food. Come in and feel like family. Friendly service, reasonable prices, and excellent quality ensure a wonderful experience. It’s a small place, so anticipate the wait for a seat. My wife and her family went here on Valentine’s Day for breakfast while we were visiting the area. Her parents had indicated they would like to have the six of us, plus my baby nephew, in for breakfast one week in advance, and the staff reserved the table for us(which was the biggest table in the place, and one of only three or four available). That kind of consideration best characterizes the friendliness of the staff at Bubbie’s. It’s like being part of the family at this mini-diner-deli. As for the food, it was excellent. The omelettes were delicious, the corned beef hash excellent, the bacon nice and crispy, the lattes warm and inviting. The portions were also quite substantial, leaving us all very full with some leftovers. There was only cook and two servers, so things move at the pace one would expect, but they do a great job of keeping up with the crowds and ensuring that the food comes out hot and fresh. These fine folks deserve some serious props for bringing an experience like this to the public.

If you are looking for that small mom and pop style brunch place, Bubbie’s is just the place for you! Price is very reasonable and the atmosphere is just great! I greatly appreciated the customer service and the level of personal attention we received. As far as the food, everything we ordered was delicious! I would definitely love to come back and brunch it up even more. The sausage gravy on the country fried steak was to die for! Also, the eggs from the Benedict tasted oh so fresh and delicious! Definitely left with a smile and a happy tummy :)
