Went to dinner with a party of 17, they excepted our reservation short notice and the table was ready upon arrival. Service was excellent. We had two servers for our large group. Drinks and food came out all at the same time and everything was great. Server notice my meal had a smaller portion of fried rice and said more was coming out, I didn’t even notice it at all! Will return for future large parties and events. Thanks for making the evening a breeze.

This very crowded during peak hours. The food is not bad, but the service is spotty. Sometimes slow, and often need to flag down a server for drink refills. The menu does not seem to change much. Would be nice to see them vary the type of salads served and to add more shrimp to some of the dishes. Overall it’s an okay place to eat but not spectacular or anything specific to set it apart from other restaurants of this type.

Oh Elephant Bar. Though a few other locations have closed down, this popular one still remains! I remember coming here many times as a child, and nothing has changed now that I’m adult. Well except for parts of the menu. The food is still relatively the same. Weekend evenings can get busy, but there was no wait for dinner on a Monday evening. On my most recent trip, I started with a beer since it was happy hour. My parents ordered a few appetizers. The Grazer and Potato Skins were fantastic. Would recommend both of them, especially if you have a larger group. For my entrée, I got the top sirloin with garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. I agree with my parents that the appetizers tasted better, but the portion was filling and reasonably priced nonetheless. Service and overall experience was great. Elephant Bar is a solid place to catch up with a friend, take your family out for dinner, or have a casual business meeting. This place is timeless and fun!

I discovered this chain back in 2012. I’ve been to different locations and I thought the food was decent. They keep up with the latest and most popular dishes that you find in other popular chains. I always order the seared ahi tuna salad(too salty seared ahi ugh) and I have to ask them to hold the salt and the salty dressing on the side. English fish and chips(okay), Chicken lettuce wrap(okay), sweet potato fries(good), zesty artichoke dip(good). We ordered Macau shrimp noodle soup with salmon. It was one of my friends favorite and she was raving about this soup. I think this is new in the menu. Well, I love all the ingredients in it but I can’t figure out the broth. It didn’t quite come together. I love anything soup but this was quite different and tasteless. My friend doesn’t cook so I can understand why everything tastes good to her. lol. I can give an easy 5 star for the bar! our cocktail drinks was made to perfection! Friendly, talented bartenders! Overall, a great place for happy hour and it starts at 9 pm at least in Sacramento. Love the bar. Appetizers and main dishes are good but nothing special. Some dishes taste slightly different from other locations.

Used to LOVE this place. Service is always really good but food has gotten iffy… cocunut shrimp super perfect everytime. But the lettuce wraps had no flavor totally bland. Also not sure WTH is going on in bar area seating but it used to be really nice comfy leather booths. Now fold out chairs and tables ! Totally uncomfortable not OK for kids at all! Drinks are not strong anymore Used to come here often we wont be back

Had the best experience tonight. Mother’s Day Eve, one of the busiest nights. We called last minute for 8 adults and 2 children because our other place did not get is in as planned. Rotella(hostess) found a way to get us a table. Caitlyn our server was amazing. Our food, drinks, and appetizers came out quick and delicious! Surely made the start of a bad evening turn into a happy memory. Thank you!

So since it’s a chain wasn’t expecting too much, but everything was actually really good! We got the artichoke dip for an app., I got the Thai high chicken salad(yum) and split the butter cake dessert thing. I’ll add pics. Our service was really good too(wish we got their name to give props).

I think they changed the chef here, as the food isn’t what it once was. Still, they have good atmosphere and good service.

I came here for a client business lunch on my last trip through Roseville. I like places like Elephant Bar, even though it’s a chain, it has something to please most main stream people. When I don’t know my client that well yet, I don’t wanna take a chance with anything too exotic. We meet on time and get seated. I do like the interior, sort of upscale but fun at the same time. Our server takes drink orders. I selected one of the house specials, a Jungle Colada($ 9.00), and my client had the same. My client was a female on the younger side of 40, so this place worked well. I may have picked somewhere else if my client was a CEO in his 60’s. Our drinks are out fast as we browse the menu and get to know each other. I suggest the chicken lettuce wraps($ 9.50) to share as a nice ice breaker. As we talk and browse the menu, they appetizer arrives. It comes as lettuce separate from the filling, so they’re not all ready filled like some places. It’s fresh and crisp lettuce with a nice filling. Good choice. For entrees, I let my client go first with her choice of the Lemon Garlic Chicken Breast($ 12.95), not wanting to seem like a huge carnivore, I went wisely with the Cajun Chicken($ 13.95) instead of the Rib Eye or Pork ribs … not good for business lunch! Business and small talk ensue till our food arrives. Another round of drinks as well, but I switch back to my usual Cosmo, and my client follows my lead… ahh good sign. The food arrives in short order. Neither plate is a huge mound of food, which is nice for a change. My Cajun Chicken was tasty and not really very spicy, served with spinach. My client liked her entrée fine I guess, didn’t say much, but she at the whole thing. No, we didn’t share bites! Overall, a nice place to meet up, business or even date in a nicer casual way. Prices are reasonable and service was chain restaurant prefect… all smiles between little up sells. I’d use the Elephant Bar again.

Love this Elephant Bar! I was having a terrible day — missed my train by a couple minutes(who knew it would take an hour and a half to get from Folsom to Sacramento?). Anyway, after a rough, exhausting, stressful day, I decided to eat at this Elephant Bar. The service, the appetizer, and the entrée were all incredible. The nachos were delicious. I also ordered the Macau Shrimp & Noodle Soup w/Salmon — EXCELLENT. A huge thank you to Elephant Bar for helping me end this day on a good note.

My family and I took my boyfriend to the Elephant Bar on 03/29/2016 for his birthday dinner. WOW were we in for a(great) surprise! We had been to the Elephant Bar before a long time ago but none of those visits were memorable. So it was with some skepticism that we followed our hostess into the safari dinning room. Our waitress, Emily, promptly greeted us and informed us about the Elephant Bar app and rewards program which resulted in a free appetizer and a free dessert! She was a no-nonsense, efficient, knowledgable, and friendly server who didn’t miss a beat(refills on drinks, etc.). We ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, the grilled ham club sandwich with sweet potato fries, the Kona bbq ribs with fries and salad, the pub burger, and a side of mac’n’cheese. Clearly, we were not prepared for the elephantine proportions… Everything was fresh and beyond delicious. My family cooks a lot and it’s safe to say we are no big fans of chain restaurants but the Elephant Bar stole our food-snob hearts. The complimentary birthday sundae for my beau was the perfect finishing touch. This was not your average free wimpy-scoop-of-mediocre-ice-cream-with-limp-cherry deal, okay? This was a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream cradled in a churro like cup/shell topped with fresh strawberries, whipped cream and a side of caramel sauce. It also came sans embarrassing birthday song sing-along(thankfully). The only negative thing(hence 4 stars) I can say about our visit was that during dessert, a busboy came by and thought he would save himself an extra trip later and asked if he could reach over our table and collect the sugar basket then and there. It was kind of like an «elephant in the room» moment. You just don’t do that. Like what if I wanted some sugar with my sugar filled dessert? Still, we will be back for more!

Love this place!!! We went to Arden one and they were out of Crème Brule. That is my girlfriend’s favorite desert in the whole wide world. So we bailed and went to Sunrise instead. Told them what happened. The manager Mr. Quinn took care of us. Poor guy even apologized for THEM and gave us two free desert cards for future. Lol I also like that they didn’t ask if it’s our first time here. That is a strange way to welcome ppl. As if what are you doing here dude? Burger King is down the street. Hahaha…

I’ll keep this short, because my most recent visit to Elephant Bar was around 6 minutes. While we normally really enjoy elephant bar(and we usually only sit at the bar), this experience was much different. We pulled up, walked in, and headed to the bar. After sitting at an empty bar for about 2 minutes, a man came up and started to help us. He looked at us and asked what we could drink, and my fiancé responded with«2 Hennessy Sidecars.» The bartender at the time, while I wish I got his name(he was a medium, fit build, with dark blonde, brownish hair, and an unmistakable mole between his eyebrows), looked confused, and scoffed at us. He said, «So, two Hennessy shots?» At that moment, we were slightly confused. We said no, and repeated«a sidecar?» He did not know what it was and wanted us to look up how to make it for him. While I recognize that occasionally at bars, there are drinks that certain bartenders aren’t familiar with, a sidecar is not an unusual drink. The main problem here, was that we were scoffed at, asked to do the work, and then drenched in a filthy cigarette breath just to start a drink order at a literally empty bar. He turned around, started messing around with the POS, and we got up and left. We will not return.

Let me be completely transparent I don’t love the Elephant Bar chain of restaurants. YET! I will and would frequent this particular one after the service I received tonight! The management and front house staff went above and beyond to be kind to me while I was picking up dinner for my sweetheart that was in the hospital. They made excellent suggestions, were helpful and thoughtful! This is how I make a decision on where to spend my hard earned dollars! If the food is half as good as the service was tonight I will ensure to return with Co-workers, church members et al

This is this first time I’ve went to elephant bar in 5 – 7 years! In the early 2000’s I was a huge fan of e bar and my go to plate was the jambalaya! Mmmm that dish was so scrumptious. I went to this location and for some odd reason I passed on my usual and dove into the happy hour menu. Bad decision on my part. I ordered the sliders which were super greasy… but I did scarf them down anyway! Like they always say… if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!

What happened to this place, I hadnt seen the reviews since this last visit. But many of them are spot on… this place has gone down hill. I’ve been here a number of times before, and unfortunately the time that I decide to write a review. It would be the worst experience I’ve had here. I arrived with my mom, nephew and boys for a nice lunch. We walked in and I gave the hostess our party size and were only had to waiter about 10 mins for a table; great so far. Then our hostess sat us and gave us all our menus… and that’s when we began to wait… and wait… and wait some more. We probably waited about 25 minutes or so before we even saw our waiter for the first time, which was really weird as the restaurant wasn’t even busy. So I don’t know what the issue was, and maybe they were seriously under staffed. When we did finally see our waiter he said he’d be right with us, and then we waited probably another 10 minutes. By this time I was annoyed and we had all known what we were going to eat for. So when it was time to take our order, that went quick, but that was also because we had enough time to almost memorize the entire menu. With the amount of time we waited for service. And then the waiting began again, this time for our food. I’m not sure which one we waited longer for, for our orders or for our meals. By the time our meals arrived, my mother, two five years old, an eleven year old and myself. Waited about an hour for our meals and it didn’t even all come together. At least they brought the youngest kids their meals first, but then my mom got her meal last. The food for good, but I’m not going to go into that in this review. As the«experience» was made well before it arrived.

Soooo… Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill tremendously, which is sad because I used to really enjoy eating here. They no longer carry the vast array of yummy stir frys that once graced the menu & their mixed drinks are now watery & altogether gross! I ordered a Moscow mule that tasted of watered down Sprite!!! How the heck that even happens… I don’t know! I knew this was a bad sign of things to come! To start our dinner off we ordered the potstickers, they we were flavorful, but not very much filling(they still were definitely the best & only thing I enjoyed from that evening). For dinner I ordered the misoyaki salmon… Ummmm yeah… The salmon was wayyyy toooo over cooked & the rice was undercooked(took a few bites & left the rest). My husband ordered the jambalaya which wasn’t that bad. Much better than my salmon, but nothing I would go back to the restaurant for(a little bit on the ketchupy side). All in all, we were really disappointed & decided right then & there that we would NEVER return! Whoever decided to change up the menu away from the Asian flair it once had ruined the restaurant! Sad!

Ehhhhhhh!!! I don’t know about this place! Happy hour drinks is what kept these stars at 3. Super cheap and yummy! I had the pear burger, it didn’t really taste like real meat. The texture was off. I don’t know, maybe I’m just used to higher end burgers from my old job. But, it just didn’t do it for me. Either did the Mediterranean chicken sandwich my husband got. It was soooo salty and the olives were gross. My In-law’s shared the lamb and they enjoyed it(besides the overly salted potatoes). I didn’t get our waitresses name, she was kind of abrupt. She turned her attitude around though thankfully. We had the mud pie for dessert which I would highly recommend. The best part of the meal was this pie, probably because it wasn’t made there. :/

Arrived here for a late Saturday lunch with a party of four. It was fairly busy, but wasn’t a surprise. However, excellent parking situation under the condition of a full house. Started with Parmesan Crusted Green Beans which was not bad at all. I’d say it would perfectly go well with your favorite alcoholic drink. I ordered the Shrimp and Chicken Jambalaya. It’s one of my Elephant Bar favorite dishes. However, it didn’t taste as great in comparison to their location in the city of Concord. I also had the opportunity to try their Cowboy Rib Eye. They know how to cook a steak as far as how well you want it. The cut was thin than I personally prefer and I tasted a hint of propane. They must have a gas leak on their grill. I rate their service excellent due to the fact we didn’t feel rushed. Also, our drinks were filled on every opportunity our waiter had. Service absolutely makes and breaks the experience.
