Pretty good pizza — 2 thin crust(both large) … $ 27. Not greasy and easy on the cheese. No friends made here, just pizza and such. I’d been seeing this name pop up when doing a Unilocal search for pizza. I really didn’t think it was a real place(perhaps just some guy that makes pizza in his kitchen for family and friends). Yes, it’s real. It’s in a corner strip center that I’ve had no reason to visit. I called the number and ordered a couple pizzas. The gal was not particularly friendly on the phone. When picking up my take out, there were no smiles or greetings to be had. all business. I suppose one could eat in at the table with the magazines but suspect it’s almost all take out. Don’t look for a menu to take home or an online menu. A friend told me later that he gets his menu in the junk mailers. For the last 3 years, I’ve been on the pizza hunt(not consistently). There are plenty of pizza places around but very few that we’ve liked enough to want to order again. I’d return to New York Pizza, for the food; smiles aren’t included.

Been a costomer for 7years and the guy at the desk DAVE Is very friendly and sweet. The pizza is amazing. The new girl how ever is kinda rude and could use a lesson in costomer service. –1star for her tude.

I’m a first time customer. I ordered a large NY combo and a large pepperoni/jalapeño pizza. Both of them looked fresh when I went to pick them up. They tasted great and our guests also enjoyed them. All the vegetables still looked nice and firm and not limp and soggy like other places. Would come again and recommend to others.

First time I ordered Pizza from NY Pizza. Got a medium pizza to go. Pizza was okay, not really good but not horrible, value was okay as it was 8.99 w 2 cans of soda(1 topping). Employee who sort of rang me up was on her cell phone and didn’t seem to know the price(or really pay attention to me when I came in, seemed confused) but I guess the owner did and then took over and rang me up. Can’t say it was a great or good experience or pizza, average only.

Best pizza I’ve had ^.^ only had it delivered tho. Idk what the inside of it is like. The guy on the phone and delivery person were not that friendly and patient. But the meat lovers pizza and cheese sticks, very yummy

Went there with buddy to pickup with Entertainment 2 for 1 coupon. Got XL Combo and Garlic Chicken. Both very good with lots of toppings. Nice owner there by himself making pizzas and answering the phone. We will be back. Recommended!

Very good pizza. I won’t give 5 stars because I’ve had Chicago style pizza and THAT ‘S 5 stars. However, they are very friendly here with good pricing and a good pizza which is worth coming back for

Based on my first visit there(bought one pizza, ordered by phone and picked up), I’m a fan. Prepared quickly and as ordered, tastes and textures very good, reasonable price. Edited to add: After a couple more visits, I’m still a satisfied customer. I’d be fine without the«free» soda with take-out, as I don’t drink the stuff.

My family and I love pizza. It is «What’s For Dinner?» at least twice a month in our home. We’ve been to every pizza place in the area and we’ve enjoyed many of them. But, lately, New York Pizza is the ONE that satisfies all of us. Their New York combo is fabulous. The toppings are plentiful, fresh and tasty. The sauce is is correct proportion to toppings and cheese and their crust is truly yummy. Being somewhat of a kid at heart I still enjoy a cheese pizza. New York Pizza makes a great one. Even my husband who used to think cheese pizza was boring enjoys eating several slices. I used to just order a small one. Now I have to order a large since our whole family enjoys stealing slices and devouring them. So good! The gentleman who answers the phone is obviously busy but always polite, our order is always correct and is always delivered HOT and FRESH. Don’t let the negative reviews fool you. This place is GOOD.

I want SO badly to give this place more stars but my last experience will sadly be my last. On my way home the other night I decided to surprise my fiancé with pizza for dinner. We’ve been here before and the pizza was really good so I was excited to «splurge» on pizza. I usually get the $ 8 deal at Little Caesar’s or the $ 10 box at Pizza Hut. So spending more that $ 10 on pizza rarely happens. After getting to the pizza place I walked in hoping to find a good deal. They have like 10 different deals but I sadly learned that none of them is really a deal. They have a buy one pizza get another for $.99. I was going to do that except the pizza was insanely expensive! I tried to figure out another deal only to figure out that none of these deals were going to save me any money. I decided to get the Summer special. It was a 1 topping pizza for $ 12.99 I believe. I got the Xlg. Well the cashier didn’t speak a lot of English and couldn’t run my card properly. After running it for $ 15.75 or something like that(no clue why so much more than $ 12.99) told me that he charged me the wrong price and that he had charged me for a large and told me he needed to charge me $ 2 more for an xlg !! What the heck?! I said, that was not the listed price and no that wasn’t going to happen. He was not happy but agreed. Well after that I was not happy. After waiting 10 mins I get my pizza. I walk out to my car and open the box and low and behold I found a large size pizza in my xlg box. Never Again! I was soo mad. I felt so ripped off and so cheated. I should have taken a picture. The worst part? The pizza wasn’t even that good. It lacked flavor and tasted similar to Little Caesar’s. Very disappointing. I’m sorry New York Pizza but I won’t be back. **The New York Pizza in Roseville is much better and I had a much better experience with the service and the food**

Since this place is down the street from my house, and they’re ten times cheaper than Ciros Pizza, I’m a huge fan. It doesn’t matter what day of the week it is, the delivery guy always is on time and less than 45 minutes. The pizza is still piping hot when it gets to you. The prices are great too! Last night, we ordered at NY Pizza. The guy that always answers the phone(I don’t think he ever takes a day off), was friendly and spoke very clearly and repeated my order back to me just to make sure it was right. Took my credit card number for $ 25 and in less than half an hour my large pizza and order of potato skins was at my door.(Yes I could have gone and picked it up and gotten a free 2 liter of soda, but I was feeling particularly lazy last night.) The pizza was amazing, as usual. Hot, loaded with cheese, and no, they don’t skimp on the toppings you order like some other places. I will say tho, the potato skins were lacking. Probably day old, gummy cheese mixed with bacon bits slapped on top of the dry as hell half of a small potato. I think I’ll just stick to their pizza from now on. But, I have had their salads and they’re pretty decent for the price. Yes, I have had problems with this place in the past. Ordered over the phone for a combo with NOOLIVES. Set to pick up in 15 minutes. Great, no problem. We went next door to blockbuster, rented a video, then hopped next store to get our pizza. All be damned if the thing wasn’t COVERED in olives. When I asked the guy why they put olives all over my pizza when I asked not to, he thought I said no ONIONS. Um, no. OLIVES. Ok, no problem. The remake my pizza, 10 minutes. I’m starving and the smell coming from the kitchen is making my mouth water and my tummy grumble. I just want to EAT! So they box up the other pizza. No olives. Great. He’s ringing me up and asks if I know anyone who would want this pizza for $ 5! Wait, $ 5?(I’m serving 4 people at my house and I could use 2 pizzas, and it’s only one person who hates olives. Hell, I’ll take it for 5 bucks! No problem. Free 2 liter under my arm, 2 hot fresh pizzas in my hand and I’m out the door a happy camper. I love this place. Especially when they constantly have deals on their facebook page and in the penny saver. So I’m a sucker for a place that sells great pizza AND has coupons. I’m in heaven.

Great pizza deals, they were running a special of an xl pepperoni for 11 dollars! It wasn’t bad pizza or delivery service. I will keep ordering from them.

I was born in Brooklyn, so I take it personally when you say you have New York Pizza. The pizza is okay. Most of the appetizers are frozen. The only way this place would be anywhere close to great is if you are very hungry and/or stoned. The price is decent, and the customer service is very good. This is definitely a delivery place. You don’t want to sit there. Trust me. It’s in a strip mall with a liquor store. Buy the liquor. It will make your pizza taste better. Run of the mill pizza this is, New York pizza it aint. Please stop abusing New York’s good name to sell mediocre pizza. It’s not right.

Phone in and take-out kind of place, no dining in here. Ordered a large pizza+ wings, Pizza — OK, Crust — lacking flavor, Sauce — OK. Toppings — good amount. Wings nothing special. Free 2-liter of soda w/order. Cheap prices. debit .50cents extra or cash only, no cc.

It may be that I’m just partial to them because it was so convenient when I lived next door to them or because they’re so cheap, but I just LOVE New York Pizza. I’m just sad that I don’t live close enough to have it delivered anymore. And I would go there to pick it up but sadly it would be cold by the time I got it home. And yes, I do know that there is a New York pizza closer to me, but its just not the same. Man oh man I love their salads. The Green salad with the cheese and tomatoes and ranch dressing.mmmm. And I’m a sucker for jalepeno poppers, show me that on a menu and you’ve got me hooked… just DON’T mess them up and put cheese in them, yuck! The carryout deal was a staple in my relationship with NYP. Cheap one topping pizza and a 2-liter? Hell yeah I’ll walk 10 feet over and grab it. Almost makes me wanna move back to Citrus Heights. …almost. And no, their crust does not suck, it tastes wonderful. It tastes like their crust is what ranch was invented for. And don’t get me started on the person seriously complaining about the flyers. Wawawa, what a baby, its a flyer, if you don’t like it then toss it in the recycling. And who uses checks nowadays anyhow? A lot of places don’t take checks because people bounce checks. They’ve got a business to run, they can’t be wasting all their time with bounced checks and crap. Jeeze. And I didn’t mind when they would leave flyers on my door when I lived in the apartments next to it cause they were just so good and cheap that I wanted everyone to know about them. I want that green salad NOW. Ugh.

You got to love that they DELIVERGYROSTOYOURHOUSE! I especially love this when it’s 104 degrees outside and I haven’t been to the grocery store for a few days. Score! It’s always the same guy that answers the phone and he is always genuine and nice. The gyros aren’t the best I’ve had(those bad boys are in Arcata, believe it or not) but they are very good! Just a note: If you gave every pizza restaurant 1 star because they left flyers on your door, you’d be hard-pressed to find 3-star pizza anywhere. Keep that in mind when you’re considering the overall rating for this establishment. I hate pizza flyers on my door too, but I live in a city so I know it’s not going to stop and that I have to deal with it. Unless I want to hide with a squirt gun behind a bush in 100 degree weather all day waiting for neighborhood flyer assailants. I think I’ll just put the flyer in the trash instead and respect that this is a struggling business in a recession. And just another note, I wouldn’t accept checks in tweaker central either.
