This review is long overdue. About a year ago I returned home to a lot of dying plants after my neighbors shut off my water valve while I was out of town. When I turned the water back on, I noticed that the plumbing underneath the lawn was cracked and water would flood into the street. Being that I am an adult, I realized I should probably pay someone to fix this instead of guilt my poor dad into driving out to exert hours of labor for me. So I did some research, and located the Older Home Specialists. The owner came out and provided me with a free estimate (which was surprisingly MUCH less than I had anticipated, but then again, I am not an expert so I had no way of comparing) and when I agreed on the price, he was out the same week and fixed what I considered something kind of complicated in a short 2 hour time frame. And added a nice sprinkler drip system for my backyard when I asked that same day for a very reasonable rate. One year later and my sprinklers are still working great, nothing is leaking, and I couldn’t be happier with the service and price.

Back in 2009 I had a pipe break on a sprinkler valve. I don’t remember any details except they were prompt, professional and did an excellent job. Another pipe broke yesterday. I called them this morning. Since they were in the neighborhood Brent came out in less than 30 minutes. He and his assistant were both pollite and professional. Though I didn’t need a new valve (according to Brent) I had them replace the valve and fix the pipe since the valve was over 15 years old. From call to completion I had my problem fixed in little over an hour. The cost increase from 2009 to today was reasonable. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needed work on their sprinkler system. In fact I plan on having them come out again to replace some sprinkler heads in the near future.
