Clean interior décor, good food, and polite/professional servers always willing to provide excellent service. My critique regard the customers who dine here: Some of the customers that come here don’t talk with their inside voices. The couple sitting next to me kept complaining about the portion size and asked for more curry. There are the foreign customers with dumb needy questions. Then you have loud parents who don’t teach their kids how to use their restaurant voices. This is a restaurant that accommodates families, but I wish some parents could set a better example. Imagine if you could enjoy a quiet meal without another family with kids in the background bombarding you with noise and distraction. The servers are doing their best to keep diners from getting mad so guests will come back. The problem: it gives customers a reason to think this type of behavior is acceptable. Guest should not think the amount that they tip is an entitlement to get preferential treatment. I advise guests to consider the time and day you come for the noise level and wait time. If you plan on coming, please consider your surrounding guests, I’d appreciate it! Thanks.

As well as the servers know me, you’d think I lived here. lol. They recently revamped the menu and I like it better. You get salad served before so it acoutally feels like courses instead of everything on one big plate. Not that that was bad before, just different. I love it. I’m never disappointed here. The service is always good, never bad even if they’re busy, and the food’s always good. My go-to place for curry.

Ok, so… I don’t really know where to place this. It wasn’t bad by any means, just something different for us. We stopped in this past Saturday and gave it a try. This is definitely comfort food, big portions and heavy. I got the patty with hot curry and a fried egg *Curry was not spicy at all, I had to drench it in chili oil *Patty was huge and moist *Egg was cooked perfectly *Rice was cooked perfectly BF got chicken katsu with hot curry *Said there could have been more katsu for the amount of curry they give *Also had to drench his in chili oil and the little one got the kids spaghetti *Tons of food *Good portion of spaghetti with 3 meatballs *French Fries could have been crispier *She loved the orange slice *They also give a deep fried hotdog… could have done without *Cup of corn«soup» was pretty good All in all, it was a filling lunch. Service was great, very attentive. Restaurant was clean and they sell booze… Can’t say we’ll be back soon… but if we ever have the hankering and are in the area, I wouldn’t mind stopping in again.

Never have I ever had Japanese curry until I came here with my sister and if it wasn’t for her I don’t think I ever really would. I had the rid eye steak in a beef of white rice and curry. I actually really liked it and it had alot of flavour. Flavors that I’ve never even tasted. I’m definitely now a fan or curry and will keep trying out more.

i have been to many different curry houses and this one was the worst! i had the chicken katsu curry and there was hardly any breading on the katsu. it wasn’t even crispy. TOTAL fail. the cod roe pasta smelled and tasted very fishy. the squid in the pasta did not taste fresh at all. overall, the taste of the dishes was lacking and i was so upset at the poor quality of our food.

Took my grandma here a couple months back. She had told me she would eat«whatever I wanted» but I kinda knew what that meant. I took her to Curry House– since I loved the Irvine one, the City of Industry one would be similar right? Japanese curry here is purdy good, and service is decent(they sometimes forgot about us and you had to flag them down). But for some reason, I didn’t like the curry here as much as I liked the one in Irvine. I don’t know, I’ve gone to the Curry House in Irvine 2 – 3 times and it seems that they have a better flavor than the Curry House here. I got the Chicken Katsu curry. I love the breaded chicken– it reminds me of eating Hawaiian food xD. You get the chicken katsu, mix with curry, add rice. It’s $ 11+ here(I don’t recall the exact price) so it’s kinda hefty. This is near the Nijiya market, in the same plaza, so you might miss it: P

Excellent place. When I first opened up the menu, it said that there were larger portions available which gave me the impression that their servings weren’t very big. My family ordered 2 ginger chicken curries and 1 chicken curry udo. The portions were huge! My sister and I couldn’t finish it. My curry udon was delicious. I wasnt feeling 100% so I wanted a hot soup. When the waitress set it down in front of me, it was still boiling! It was in some sort of hot bowl. My sister and dad got the curries. The ginger curry was said to be extra spicy on the menu but it was just hot according to my family– not crazy. Their service was really good. They checked on us frequently and refilled our waters. I was sort of sad to learn that they don’t offer tea in tea pots to share with your family. They just give you tea bags which is alright.

Haven’t been back for years. the line used to be long when it fist opened. we ordered the Pork Katsu curry with rice and an angus steak with curry over rice. around $ 12& $ 16 *Portion-lots of rice to eat with the yummy curry sauce, Pork katsu is crispy and juicy, perfect with the curry sauce. *Taste-dark, creamy and intense curry covers your whole mouth packed with spices and flavors. *Service-very good! refills my water without me having to look up or ask. came by moments after delivered the dishes to see how we are doing. nice! now that’s worth leaving a tip for.

This is actually my first time trying Curry House in the States. I’ve tried Curry House in Taiwan a while ago and I love it. I love curry no matter they are Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese, Indian or Thai style. I think spice and ingredients are important for curry dish. Came here for lunch with coworkers, this place wasn’t crowded at all during this lunch rush hour. I was overwhelmed by all those different choices of items from this place. It took me a while to decide my order. I got Deluxe Katsu Curry with pork cutlet. This came with omelette rice. Gosh, I love omelette rice. I remember I used to watch all these Japanese drama and started drooling whenever people in the drama ate omelette rice. This seemed to be a daily food for a lot of Japanese. Anyway, my food was served pretty fast and I couldn’t wait to dig in. Sadly, the pork katsu was kind of dry and did not taste good. They were pretty plain and tough. Pork pieces were also pretty tiny. This order came with a side salad. The curry dressing was great but this dish just did not impress me at all. Overall, I have okay dining experience but I definitely had tried better one. Don’t think I will come back again. I mean this is a chain so I did not have high expectation of this place anyway so three star is fair enough.

I love anything curry… Indian curry, Japanese curry, and the likes but for some reason, I never suggest Curry House. I was reminded of that when my friend wanted to have dinner here. It is the prices! If I could make curry at home for a fraction of the cost or order it from the food court at Mitsuwa, Granted, they do have great service here. They kept checking up on us every now and then to make sure everything was going well. The tables are situated very, very close in proximity to other tables so there is not much privacy here. Heard the conversation to the right of me, and would’ve heard the conversation to the left if the diner had a companion. I ordered the«make your own» Katsu Curry w/chicken and cheese. Cheese was an extra $ 1 or so. Pricey but I did like the flavors together. The chicken was very tender and was breaded with thick panko and deep fried with soy bean oil. Served with their signature curry sauce. The curry was a bit bland for me, mediocre at best.

This is one of my favorite places to go to. There is one closer in LA, but when I was attending university, we came to this location a lot. This place was like the ones I’ve went to before. The staff is usually pretty attentive, and the place itself is clean. There is not much of a wait time, so we get seated almost instantly, which is a plus. Japanese curry is different from traditional Indian curry that everyone knows of. Japanese curry is a lot less spicy(also noted that they don’t use as much spices), and a little more sweet than Indian curry. Japanese curry is where it is at! I usually order the Menchi Katsu Curry(ground beef patty), a little bit on the spicier side, with a soft boiled egg on top(extra $ 1). The dish comes with a side salad, breaded and deep fried patty cut on top of rice, and the curry sauce(with my order of egg on top). It is a filling dish, and you can add more chili oil to your liking, as well as the red ginger to give it a little more snap to the meal. There are other curries here available, like the keema rice curry or their hayashi omelette rice(curry rice pilaf wrapped in egg). Everything here is pretty good, and you can’t go wrong. If you want your dish spicy, please let the staff know, or else you won’t get it that spicy. Also they have chili oil for you to use if you prefer it more.

My first visit here was horrible. The service was horrible. I ordered a vegetable curry rice plate & asked for the veggies on the side & my server kept insisting that she couldn’t do that. Why? It’s not like the curry is cooked with the veggies. From what I know, they just place the veggies on top…-_– She was very aggressive & made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Maybe it was her short english, but she seemed very frustrated when I asked her why they couldn’t do that. Second visit was a little better, but no surprise… Disappointing. My bf & I were seated maybe five minutes before another table(right next to us). However, none of the servers came to take our order: they were busy taking the other couples’ orders. Idk. I can’t really blame the server cause he/she didn’t see who walked in first, but I hope they take a note of that next time. As usual, I got my curry rice set with beef curry. I ordered it spicy, but it wasn’t that spicy. Definitely not a smooth transition from spicy to extra spicy. Spicy is whatevers & extra spicy is too spicy. They were extremely generous with their salad portions. Food is always good! I just wish they had better service!

An okay place to go when I’m feeling Japanese style curry. It’s fairly tasty, though I wouldn’t rate the flavor here as «exceptional.» Sometimes the crowds during dinner are insane(Friday and Saturday evenings), and service can be laggy. Portions are pretty large, but prices seemed to have creeped up to an average $ 10 – 14 range per dish. Feel as if it would be a better deal if prices were in the sub $ 10 range IMO.

First time trying curry EVER, when I came here with a friend. Was quite excited since the pictures of curry always looked so good. I would always see this place near In N out, so figured it was finally time to try some curry. Came around the evening time on a weekday, and the restaurant seemed kinda empty, somewhat. Service went smoothly, and got my food within 10 minutes. I ordered the chicken kastu curry, and the spice level was mild. The chicken was tender, light, and crispy, while the curry had a slight spice level, just the way I wanted it. The rice was soft, and fluffy, while the salad was okay, but I finished that was well. The whole meal felt light actually, and didn’t get too full from it. Overall getting curry here was a good idea, I’d say. I need to try more curry so I can evaluate different ones better. I enjoyed this curry though, and will definitely come here again.

I recommend the Creamy Chicken Pasta, it was delicious the mushrooms were right on point and the sauce wasn’t too watery or too thick it was perfect. I would definitely bring my friends and family to try this place!

I came here for lunch and thought this place was just okay. I got the omelette rice which was actually good and flavorful. I love the fluffy egg on top. Inside the omelette was ketchup fried rice along with veggies and chicken. The curry/gravy on the side was alright. The portions here were very large. On the menu it said the entrée would come with a side salad but it never showed up. Besides the food, the service here was great. Would recommend coming here if you like curry and do not mind spending $ 10 – 13 for a plate.

This place was a little pricey for what it is. TIPS: If you sign up for their email list, you can get nice deals and coupons, so definitely check that out if you live around the area. I came here with my family on Monday night, which is nice because there wasn’t a long wait. I ordered the beef curry, which came with rice and salad. There was also other options such as spaghetti if you are not a rice person. The curry was very flavorful with big chunks of meat. I also tried the tofu w/grounded chicken curry. The garlic spinach rice had a very intense garlic flavor. So if you don’t lIke garlic, make sure to substitute it with white rice. I would suggest this place if you want decent curry and don’t mind the price.

I like Curry house and I haven’t been to one in awhile but I don’t remember katsu curry being $ 12 – 13 a plate? What… Used to be less than $ 10 no? The menu has definitely grown from curry and spaghetti to also omelettes and stone grilled curry rice? Interesting. I like Japanese curry and Curry house’s sauce is always a lot thicker and more flavorful than you would be able to make at home. But for some reason I like it this way and is why I keep coming back. The salad along side the entrée is okay. Dressing is too tangy. I prefer a sweet miso dressing for a Japanese restaurant.

I loveeeeee curry house! I came here on my lunch break and there wasn’t a wait. but it was also New Year’s Eve. I got the curry udon soup and it did not disappoint! It comes out pipping hot and I’m pretty sure I burned my mouth. It comes with a lot of fixin’s. I love the type of mushrooms they use and their big soft potatoes! It’s a lot to finish so I took it togo. They server didn’t separate the noodles from the broth, so the noodles soaked most of it up. I thought it was going to be gross, but it was actually really delicious still! That dish and the ground chicken tofu curry are my top favorites! The rice they use for that dish has a mixture of spinach and garlic. I definitely love the pickled veggies they serve as well(the pink stuff). And you can’t forget about the corn soup! For lunch it was an extra $ 1.50 for getting the soup, but it’s so worth it!
