AlienBox

Wonderful company! They were friendly and incredibly accommodating to our ever-​changing needs. Easy to communicate with on the phone and via email as we had to make several changes in drop-​off/​pick-​up dates and number of boxes. The boxes themselves are sturdy and easy to pack plus the company gives you labels and packing paper! Being that we were paying our movers by the hour, having these easy-​to-​stack and easy-​to-​move-​via-​a-​dolly containers saved us so much money on our move. No tape, no cardboard paper cuts, no handle-​less heavy boxes to carry, no bajillion boxes to break down and recycle later. Just simple, sturdy boxes from a great company to ease your move. I would highly recommend them to anyone relocating.

We recently moved, and on a previous move we had rented plastic boxes and they were so helpful that I googled to find a similar product and up popped AlienBox. I called and they were very fast to respond, and generally great with communication throughout the process.
I selected 1 bedroom on their site and they brought everything we needed for the move, it turned out to be pretty much right on (although I’d say if you have a lot of hanging clothes you may want to rent a second clothes box), they dropped off the boxes a day early due to a scheduling issue on their end free of charge, and called to figure out the best time to pick them up.
If you’re moving and don’t want to pack a bunch of regular boxes, I would definitely give AlienBox a call! You get the boxes for two weeks, so you have a week to pack them up and a week to unpack — it’s definitely a good motivator to get everything unpacked! You can have them for longer for an extra charge as well.
If only our movers worked out as well as AlienBox did… but that’s a story for another time.

I cannot say enough great things about this company! The boxes are sturdy, we stacked those to the top of the u haul, NOTHING was broken (I had help packing and some things weren’t packed all that well) and their customer service is BEYOND exceptional. I dealt with Jana and she was SO accommodating, so nice, so professional, returned my calls within 5 minutes, even on the weekends!
Due to moving during Christmas, my boxes were delivered 3 days early and we were allowed to keep them an extra few days FREE OF CHARGE! This place made moving tolerable. Price was comparable to cardboard boxes, plus NOT having to dispose of cardboard boxes, the packing paper was great quality, labels stuck to boxes, wardrobe boxes were strudy and the hand truck was awesome.
Customer service was BEYOND stellar. Can’t say enough great things about this company!

In planning our recent move, i started researching boxes. I knew I could buy them and I knew that I had friends DESPERATE to give them to me because they still had theirs. However, I didn’t want to have to do the leg work in getting them, our move was timed in such a way that going to get boxes (in a small car) putting them together, breaking them down, storing them, getting rid of them etc., put us in a bit of a bind.
If only there was a _​Portland Way_​to handle this first world problem of mine!
If this really is the City where young people go to retire, shouldn’t there be a magical Box God that will come to my door, bring me boxes that are environmentally sustainable, locally owned and supported, that will then come get them after I leave?
My prayers to the Box Gods went unanswered, however just to keep Portland Weird, the Aliens came through. I found them online (where all good aliens are to be found) and called up. They were friendly, helpful and delivered my boxes exactly, to the minute on time. I am a huge sucker for being on time!
I got my boxes, my wardrobe, my ice box bag, zip ties, labels and handy hand truck and some great advice! The boxes worked perfectly, I had just the right amount and now, on Monday they will all go away.
I will forever believe in Aliens, knowing that they are helpful, friendly, informative and have great, and I mean GREAT customer service!
